after school changbin raced to meet felix at his locker. all the boys had been taking turns like they said, letting felix stay at their houses, but changbin knows that was about to stop.
changbin was the only one to know this...
felix's mother was on her way to korea, and soon felix would be forced to stay with her instead of being accompanied by his friends... the people who truly care about him.
"hey bokkie," changbin greeted cheerfully as he rested his arm against the locker beside felix's.
"hey," felix sang with a sweet smile curling onto his face.
"are you busy after school today?" changbin asked, feeling oddly nervous.
"hmmm... let me think," felix teased, sensning changbins nerves, "yep, i am way too busy for you!"
"wow someone thinks they are funny." the dark haired boy rolled his eyes teasingly.
"oh stop it," felix hit him playfully, "you know im never too busy for you. besides, you all have been taking turns housing me for the night so one of you was bound to ask me, right?"
"good pointc so how about today is my turn?" changbin suggested.
"i'd like that," felix smiled as he grabbed onto changbins hand and the two of them began walking out of school, "so where we going?"
"i want to keep it a surprise!" the latter insisted.
"oh come on, i hate surprises!" felix whined as he stomped his feet slightly.
"shut up you bit baby, you'll love this surprise."
"just because you said that, i'll make sure i hate it."
"how are you going to do that? what if i got you a puppy?"
"did you get me a puppy?" felix asked as his face slightly lit up.

"no." changbin stated.
"then i could potentially hate the surprise!" felix let go off changbins hand and started walking off on his own.
"gosh you're so annoying," he laughed, "where are you walking off to, you don't know where we're going!"
"i know we probably need your car to get there, so i'm walking to your car." felix shrugged, leaving changbin in the dust.
changbin let out a heavy sigh as he shook his head. he was slightly laughing at how infuriating felix was being though.
he liked to see this side of felix. it was a side to him that he hadn't seen in ages, and that made the location changbin had in mind that much more perfect.
felix hopped into the passenger side seat, drawing his knees to his chest as he stared out the window. changbin looked over to him before he began driving and tapped on the latters knees.
"what?" felix questioned innocently.
"put your legs down." changbin instructed with a sense of care in his voice.
"why? i usually sit like this, did i do something wrong?" felix questioned as he gave changbin and unknowing look.
"i read something about how dangerous it is to sit like that. god forbid we got into a crash... i cant risk losing you, felix. just sit normally please." changbin explained, making a red tint form across felixs cheeks.
his freckles began to glow under the hue that had formed and his eyes widened a bit without felixs knowledge.
"seems like i can still easily get you flustered." changbin smiled cheekily as he quickly planted a kiss on felixs cheek before sitting back down in his own seat and getting ready to drive.
"ew, that word is stupid." felix pouted, putting his feet down on the ground and crossing his arms out of "annoyance."

"what word? flustered?" changbin laughed a bit.
"yes, it's so stupid. i'm not flustered. i'm uncomfortable. you make me uncomfortable." felix insisted angrily, but a fake anger that was easy to notice.
"oh in that case, im very sorry felix. it is never my intent to make you uncomfortable. if you don't want me to kiss you, then i won't." changbin said sincerely, making felix even more angry.
"WHY ARE YOU CUTE? JUST STOP IT!" felix shouted before throwing his hand over his mouth and mumbling to himself, "where has my filter gone?"
"pfft... you're cute too, bokkie." changbin laughed, finally beginning the drive, and ignoring how annoyed felix seemed.
they passed by familiar places as the radio played softly in the background. changbin smirked to himself knowing felix was slowly piecing together where they were going. he also could not help but notice the smile that was growing on felix's face in the process.
it was a feeling of nastalogia that washed over them, but more so than anything, it was a rememberance of a happier time. a time changbin hoped they could go back to.

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
