it was now saturday afternoon, felix had been sleeping all day and it was starting to worry his grandmother.

lucky enough for her, she pulled chan aside the day before when he dropped felix off for school and asked him to come by in order to ensure felix actually gets out of bed.

chan arrived around three in the afternoon and felix's grandma allowed the by inside and into felix's room to wake up the latter.

chan walked over to felix's bedside and smiled as he noticed how peaceful felix looked while sleeping.

"go on, get him up." felix's grandmother encouraged before walking out of the room.

chan began to blush a deep shade of red from getting caught staring at his supposed best friend. he then tried to brush it off and gently shook the boy to get him up.

"hey sunshine, you've slept the day away." chan said softly as the boy began to stir.

"five more minutes." felix groaned, his voice being deep and raspy from sleeping.

"no lix, it's three o'clock." chan stated with a stern tone of voice.

"just five. more. minutes." felix repeated as he grabbed onto chan and pulled him down onto the bed.

chan felt his face heat up once more as he felt felix force his arms to be wrapped around his waist. chan felt felix nuzzle in close to him, and his heart immediately picked up it's pace.

"lix, can we get up now?" chan asked, only after a few seconds of laying there.

"no, five minutes." felix responded, being very adamant about how much longer he wanted to be in bed.

once chan was actually able to convince the boy to get up, he offered the idea of going to a local café together.

"but then i have to get dressed." felix whined as he threw his head back dramatically.

"come on sunshine, it'll be fun." chan smiled brightly at the latter.

"ugh fine, but only because it's you." felix rolled his eyes as he began rummaging through his closet.

"wear this." chan suggested as he picked up a rather overside white t-shirt with a small rose embroidery on the upper right hand side of the chest.

"that's not mine..." felix frowned as he stared at trying to figure out whose it was.

"it's mine, i must have left it here... unless it got mixed up with your stuff back in australia." chan shrugged.

"both are likely possibilities." felix nodded.

"yeah," chan smiled, "but you'd look nice in it. wear it."

"are you sure? you don't want to take it back?" felix questioned.

"it'll look better on you, i'll get it back another day." chan assured the boy.

"hm, okay." felix began removing his shirt, making chan's eyes widen at the sight of felix's beautifully toned body.

chan tried his best to peal his eyes away, and keep his mind distracted. the last thing he wanted was to think of felix as anything more than a friend, but he knew he was well past that. chan knows he has feelings for felix, but he also knows his feelings are not returned.

felix then changed into some black jeans to go with his top and quickly ruffled his hair to fix it up a bit.

"ready?" chan asked once he heard felix stop his movements.

"yep, let me just go brush my teeth real quick." felix smiled as he skipped over to his bathroom. once he got in and shut the door behind him, he noticed the mess he left out last night.

he saw the blade he used the night prior and realized chan could've seen the damage he had done to his thighs when he changed in the same room as the boy.

he stared at the heinous object with disgust and regret, yet he still had the undeniable urge to pick it up once more.

felix's thoughts were heavy and weighing him down. if it weren't for chan being just outside the door, things could've gone a lot differently for felix.

he shook himself out of the negative thoughts for the time being and just focused on brushing his teeth.

felix then hid the object before making a quick exit out of the bathroom.

"now that your teeth are all clean we can go?" chan asked.

"yeah, let's go." felix smiled, but it wasn't as bright as before and chan noticed this.

chan decided against mentioning it for now though. he'd rather try and distract felix than feed into his negative thoughts.

the two boys got in the car, blasting the radio and leaving the windows down as they drove. chan saw felix's real smile return and felt a sense of relief wash over him.

chan was thankful for the simple pleasures in life. the little things that cheer people up are some of the most important aspects of life in chan's eyes. he just hoped he could be one of those little pick me up's for felix.
