Chris Evans x Actress!Reader
Endgame. The last Avengers movie premiere. Camera lights are flashing left and right and people are clamoring all around as Chris Evans stands on the purple carpet and poses.
Fast forward to the after party, Chris stands around with Sebastian making casual talk. He looks over at the crowd as he sips his beer and notices a woman in a sleek black cutout dress talking to Elsa and Hemsworth. Normally, Chris doesn't notice women from behind, he usually looks at their face before their... well everything else. But this woman, there's something about her...
"Hey." He taps Sebastian. "Who's that talking to Elsa and Hemsworth?" He shrugs.
"No idea." The two men try to figure out who it is without being obvious.
"Hey bros!" Mackie greets in his normal, boisterous tone. "What's going on over here?"
"We're trying to figure out who that is." Sebastian motions to the mystery woman.
"Wait, you really don't know who that is?" Mackie says.
"Should we?" Chris asks.
"Dude, that's Y/N." Chris' eyes widen as he looks back at you.
"No..."
"No way." Sebastian says. "It can't be. Y/N is so much younger."
"Nah man. I caught her at the carpet. That's her."
"What are you guys huddled over here talking about?" Scarlett comes over.
"These two can't believe that's Y/N." Scarlett looks over.
"Oh yeah. That's totally her."
"Nope. I don't believe it." Sebastian refutes.
"Alright. I'll prove it. Hey! Y/N!" You turn around.
"Goddamn." Sebastian says at the sight of you. He looks over at Chris who still hasn't said a word. "You alright man?"
"Huh? Y—yeah. It's just... it's been a while." He still can't believe it's you. The last time he saw you, was the first time he met you at the Winter Soldier premiere back in 2014. And here it is 4 years later. You walk over to the group and greet Scarlett, Mackie and Sebastian. You turn to Chris.

"Hi Chris." You smile.
"Hi. You look... amazing." You smile and look down.
"Thank you. You do too. That blue looks good on you."
"Thanks." He chuckles.
"These guys over here couldn't believe it was you." Mackie says. "Especially this one." He points to Seb.
"It's something I had to see to believe." He defends.
"I get it. It's been a couple years."
"4." Chris says. "It's been 4 years. I—I think."
"That sounds about right. One tends to grow up in 4 years."
"Please tell me you have a date tonight." Mackie says. "Because there's no way that you can look this damn good and be alone."
"Well um. I am." You uncomfortably shift your weight as you think of your boyfriend. "He uh. Couldn't make it." Chris looks at you with sadness and slight anger.
"How's your daughter?" Scarlett asks, changing the subject. A big smile spreads across your face.
"She's great. She's with my sister tonight."
"How old is she now?" Mackie asks.
"She's gonna be 8 months." Everyone exclaims. "I know. I know. She's growing too fast." Chris watches in silence as you and Scarlett talk about each other's daughters .
"Hey man. You alright?" Sebastian asks. "You barely spoke."
"I don't know what to say." He shrugs.
"Chris Evans at a loss of words in front of a beautiful woman?" Mackie asks in disbelief. "Never thought I'd see the day."
"It's been 4 years. I thought I would see her again at Infinity War but she didn't go."
"Wait, you've been thinking about her all this time?" Chris nods sheepishly. "Then you gotta make a move!" Mackie urges.
"Nah man. I can't."

"Why not?" Seb asks.
"She has a boyfriend."
"That's not here tonight."
"She's too young for me." Mackie rolls his eyes.
"10 years isn't that young."
"He's right. There are bigger age gaps out there." Seb says.
"I can't." A few minutes pass and Chris' family comes over and replaces Mackie, Seb and Scarlett and you meet his family.
"Mackie told me what was going on with you." Scott says. Chris groans. "I get it man. She's... gorgeous." Chris sighs.
"That's not helping."
"Just try talking to her at least."
"What would I say?" Scott makes a face.
"You know how to have a conversation Chris." Chris pulls himself together and gets ready to talk to you, when you step away for a phone call. He watches you argue quietly with the person on the other end before hanging up and quickly getting a drink. "Follow her." Scott orders. He goes over to the bar and stands next to you.
"Everything okay?" You nod quickly.
"Yeah. Yeah. Everything's fine. Thank you." He knows you're lying.
"Y/N. Talk to me." He says in a low voice. You look at him.
"He hasn't seen her."
"Who?"
"Y/BF/N. He hasn't seen her in 4 months."
"What do you mean he hasn't seen her? That's his daughter."
"I know. He just... checked out on her and he's mad at me because I left her with my sister." Tears fill your eyes.
"Don't cry. Please don't cry." He asks for a napkin and hands it to you.
"I'm sorry." You wipe your eyes. "This is supposed to be a happy night for you. I shouldn't be doing this."
"No. You need someone." You chuckle. "T—to talk to. Is what I meant."
"This shouldn't be happening tonight though. I should go." You try to leave but he grabs your hand.
"Y/N. You and your daughter don't deserve this. You both deserve better."
"I know. But—but I want her to have both her parents. Just like I have. You know?"
"Well that doesn't work if he's not there." You look down. "I'm sorry."
"No. No you're right."
"So leave him." You look at him. "Leave him and be with me." He blurts out.
"Excuse me?"
"He's not right for you."
"And you are?" He nods. "This is crazy. You're crazy."
"I'm crazy about you."
"Stop it."
"I'm not the same guy you met 4 years ago. I've grown up too."
"I have a daughter now Chris. That changes everything. I have to do what's best for her."
"What about you?"
"I don't matter anymore. Everything I do is for her. I can't have men coming in and out of her life."
"You won't if you're with me."
"I'm not doing this." Chris grabs another napkin and pen from the bartender.
"This is the address for my place here in L.A. come here tomorrow. Bring your daughter. I want to meet her." He tries to hand you the napkin but you just look at it.
"Chris—"
"Take it. I hope to see you both tomorrow." He puts the napkin on the bar and leaves you to join his family.
You look down at the napkin and sigh.

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

Fallen
He hadn't even gained a consciousness yet that he was bound to lose everything if he ever came to life. He hadn't offended anyone, but they offended him. He hadn't cursed anyone, they cursed him. He hadn't killed anyone, they killed everyone related to him. Thus, he silently vowed. "They plan to offend me for their own interest? I shall give them plenty of reason to do so. Do they want to curse me? Please do so, since I'm more than willing to be your living bane. Kill me? Sadly, you won't be the last having this type of wishful thinking."- The Devil -------------------- I think that I can manage 1 chapter per week now, maybe 2 but certainly not three. PS: As I think that there should be small mistakes here left and right, I'd gladly welcome a proofreader.
