Lightning Pov

I sat in my headquarters speaking with my friends.

We need to find a way to defeat these tyrants. They rule our lands with no mercy, and no compassion. We look to change that. When we do, the people will have free reign to do as they please.

The other leaders were James, David, and Beth. All three were different types of faunas. David was dog, James was ram, and Beth a panther.

"Okay, so we have come to an agreement?" I asked my fellow leaders.

"Yes. But who shall it be? It can't be anyone too powerful, but must be someone of significance to them" Beth asked.

"I know just the one.... Raven holds one Vernal, very dear to her. If we could take her out, maybe she might lose heart." James said pulling out a picture of her.

"Okay, we've found our target. Who's going?" I asked.

"We will" I heard as we all turned our heads to see the blonde haired girl with gauntlets along with her faunas friend appear from the shadows.

"Ah, come to join us?" I asked with a smirk.

"I'm not doing this for you. Y/N killed Ruby. We're going to get revenge" Yang said angrily.

"Whatever the reason, welcome aboard" I said as James, Beth, and David all agreed with me.

Sapphire Pov

I'm currently training with my dear Mercury in our home, eagerly waiting for news on these "rebels".

"So, do you think that these guys will be harder than Ruby, and everyone else?" Mercury asked. I paused using my powers for a moment.

"It depends. We don't really know much about these people. It was different with Ruby's group. We knew their powers." I said and he nodded.

"Maybe I could help with that" I heard the unmistakable voice of my father. I quickly turned to see him leaning against a column.

"How did you get in here?!" I asked drawing my weapons.

"I can't turn into a crow, duh. Anyway, I'm not here to fight you. It's actually quite the opposite" He said looking depressed, I couldn't blame him.

"What makes you think we would trust you!" Mercury yelled at him.

"Because, I still love you Sapphire. You're my only daughter, and I believe you're gonna need all the help you can get against Lightning" he said. Mercury looked at me with a questioning face.

"I don't know Dad. How about you give me all the information you have now, so if you are lying we still have it." I said and he seemed to consider my offer.

"Fine.... she's not the only one. She has leaders below her, four to be exact." He said and I scoffed.

"We can take them easily-" I started but was interrupted.

"And their support is growing massively. If we don't do something soon, they might have strength in numbers. I would give you more but I really don't have much" He said. I still was about to say no.

"...Please, all I want is to protect my daughter" he said looking down sadly.

"...Fine But you're on a short leash"

Y/N Pov

Right now I'm cuddling a bit with Cinder before heading off to see if I can find these troublemakers.

"Y/N" she said as I held her in my arms.

"Yes?" I asked smiling at her.

"Can you promise me something?" She asked looking a bit glum.

"Anything my Queen" I said pecking her forehead.

"Please come back to me. I don't know what I would do with out you" She said as I instantly answered back.

"I'll always come back to you. Because you know I'll always survive, I'll always pull through, and I'll always prevail" I said smiling at her as she smiled back. We began to make out until I heard someone running to the door. Our servant burst through the door as Cinder groaned in annoyance.

"You had better have a good reason for interrupting us" She said making flames in her hand.

He tried catching his breath until he spoke.

"Vernal.. she-she's dead." Cinder and I were both shook at this revelation.

"Where?!" I asked standing up.

"She's outside, She was brought in by a horse and buggy" he said as the three of us ran outside.

As we arrived at the body I noticed very quickly that she had scratch marks, whip markings, and was shot by shells from a familiar Gauntlet.

"Who did this?" Cinder asked.The men just shrugged.

"They weren't here, just the horse" he said.

"Yang" I whispered.
