***FAST FORWARD A FEW MONTHS***

Arizona's POV;

it's been a few months since Callie and I have been together. Callie asked me to move into her (absolutely stunning) house with her and I, of course, said yes. things between us are going fantastic. my next thing is to ask her to marry me. well, that is if she doesn't do it before me. We've been doing really good. I mean we've had our fights but what couple doesn't? I have been doing good. I still don't remember the accident.

Callie POV;

These past few months with Arizona have been absolutely amazing. I asked her to move in with me about a month ago. It's not always smooth sailing, but no relationship ever is. I have a plan to ask her to marry me, but I need to do it before she asks me, that is if the does ask. I have this beautiful night planned ending with the proposal. I'm just crossing my fingers it goes as planned. Arizona and I were watching a movie in the living room when I heard the doorbell ring

'who the hell could that be'. I think to myself

I got up and went to the door and I opened it to see my parents standing in the door way

Arizona POV;

"what the hell are you doing here" is the first thing I hear Callie say as she opens the front door. Just by the way her voice sounds, I'm guessing its someone she hasn't seen in a while nor did she want to see.

Callie POV;

"what the hell are you doing here," I say to them

"came to talk to you mija"

"talk about what?" I said sounding a little annoyed "there's nothing to talk about. You stopped talking to me years ago"

Arizona comes up next to me and grabs my hand

"is everything okay love" she says looking concerned

"who is this calliope?" My father asks

"my girlfriend. Arizona" I make sure my answers are short and to the point until I figure out what they really want

"look dad, mom, I'm serious. What do you want"

They let themselves in and sit on the couch. Arizona and I sit across from them

"look mija, your mom and I have done some thinking and we feel like we've had enough time to think and come to terms with the fact that you are a lesbian and we want to let you know that we are ready to accept you back into your lives. It was stupid of us to think we would live without having our own daughter in our lives. You deserve to have parents that love you and care for you just the way you are" My dad starts tearing up while my mom is next to him already sobbing. My eyes are getting watery.

"dad, mom, I love you." I couldn't even figure out anything to say, all I could get out was an I love you.

Arizona POV;

It was Callies parents coming to make amends with Callie. It was a beautiful moment and I am so happy I got to be apart of it. Carlos (calliopes dad) asks if he can talk to me just us two. I said of course and followed him into a bedroom. He shut the door and pulled a box out of his suit coat. It was a small square box. I think I know whats in it but I wait for him to tell me before saying anything.

"this is something I want you to have if you want it of course. This was my grandmother's wedding ring. I have been saving this until her mother and I were ready to be apart of her life and until she found someone who loves her as much as we do. I don't even need to get to know you to know that you are the one my daughter has been waiting for. Just the way you checked up on her at the door and the way you held her hand while we were all talking. You love her. I can tell you just love her so much and this ring is something that if you would like to you could use to propose to her with. You don't have to if you don't want to, but I want to give this to you in case you wanted to use it. I'm glad my daughter found someone who loves her as much as we do."

Carlos tells me this whole speech about this box before uncovering it to show this stunning ring. It's simple but beautiful. I have tears streaming down my face but manage to get some words out

"Mr. Torres. wow. I...I'm speechless. This ring is beautiful and the story behind it is just..its priceless. I would absolutely love to use this as my engagement ring for Calliope. I love calliope with every piece of my being. She's my rock. I don't know what I would do without her as a part of my life. She's just a beautiful, compassionate, caring, loving human being. She's a ray of sunshine. I just...I adore her." By now I am literally sobbing, but I manage to say "I plan on proposing to her tonight. I would love it and I'm sure she would to if you could make it. It's going to be at Bella Vista, a restaurant downtown Seattle. I had this whole night planned out but with a ring as special as this, I don't need anything fancy. I will propose to her in the restaurant and I'm sure she would love if you were there. I would love if you could join us too"

He hugs me and says "My wife and I would love to be there" before he turns around to walk out he looks at me and says "Calliope is very lucky to have you, and by the way, you might want to wipe those tears away before you walk downstairs. You don't want calliope getting suspicious" he winks at me before he walks out the door.

Callie POV;

Arizona and my dad have been upstairs for a long time and I'm starting to get worried. I don't know whats going on up there. Right as I begin to walk up the stairs my dad comes down followed by Arizona.

"whats wrong sweetheart," I ask as I look at Arizona

"what are you talking about" She answers almost a bit annoyed

I leave it in case its something she doesn't want to talk about.

My dad and mom get ready to leave and give us both hugs before they leave. I invite them to dinner but dad says they are busy.

As soon as they leave Arizona and I sit on the couch and finish our movie. Before the movie finishes Arizona looks at me with tears in her eyes

"why are you crying? Whats going on?"

"nothing I just really love you Calliope" her answer is short and to the point

I smile and kiss her "I just really love you too Arizona"

"by the way, we have a dinner reservation at 5:00 at Bella Vista downtown"

I sit a minute taking in what I just heard

"why are we going to the place I took you on our first date?" I ask very confusedly

Her answer "why not?"

I didn't really question it because that's just the way Arizona is so I just leave it

Arizona POV;

I got a little worried because Callie asked why we were going to Bella Vista but I answered the way I normally would so I wouldn't get any more questions.

It's 3:30 and I know how Calliope is so I tell her she should start getting ready and she agrees. She walks upstairs and I hear the shower go and then her music turn on, so I start calling all our friends and family and inviting them to the dinner. There's one person I haven't called. 2 actually. My parents. You see here's the thing, I love my mom and dad, and they aren't as bad as Callie's, but they don't even know I was in a relationship and they don't even know I have a girlfriend and they don't exactly approve of my lifestyle either. I go to dial but get too nervous so I put the phone down.
