《The Sun Met The Deep End (Vegas Pete)》CHAPTER 2{The arrival of the one}

Vegas's POV
¡SMACK¡
I was once again slapped by my father, I felt numb even though i've gotten use to it by now. Gosh i hate him. I tried keeping a brave face on as my eyes kept blinking to avoid the pain that started to hit.
"You better stop replying when i'm speaking to you! We have to go spy on the main family today and i need you to focuse!" my dad said staring at me dead in the eyes not caring if i shed one tear of blood.
He looked serious and i didn't want to disapoint him. I quickly replied with a brave look on my face "Yes father! I promise i'll try my best". I walked away to my room.
My dad decided to meet with the main family for a very important 'announcement'
Just for me to look for important documents regarding the company.
I've never wanted to be a disappointment to my father. He always compared me to kinn.
I need to prove to him that i could me somehow much more, Just like i was to my mother.
I looked at myself in the mirror with a gun in my hand knowing that this might be the only chance i could standout to my father and be the son he loves and cares for once again. I pushed my silky black hair away from my face, wore my black jacket while i gave myself a "You can do this" smile.
I walked down to the parking where i saw my father, Marcau and Our guards waiting in the car for us to go.
"OIIH PETE" Tanhkun screamed at me while i gave him a bothered look.
"You better bring me Marcau so we can lock him up in my room!" Said Tahkun while staring at me with Arm and Pol standing behind him.

"Yes Sir Tanhkun!" I said smiling nervously showing off my dimples, He then walked away throwing his long cape on my face. I was stressing over the Minor family's arrival.
"Call us if you need anything pete" Said Arm and Pol giving me a comforting smile as they walked away.
I walked down to the lobby meeting room fixing myself to look presentable to our guests.
"Hey Pete, remember what i said?" Someone behind me said, it's kinn.
"Yes sir! You don't have to worry". I said smiling confidently at him.
I stood near the door. kinn, Khun korn, Tanhkun and Porsche were seated in the room.
They all looked focused on the documents they've prepared for the meeting.
~Creek~
The door opened revealing Vegas, his dad and Marcau as they walked in and sat looking at everyone in the room.
I bowed down aswell as the other bodyguards.
"Well hello brother, It's been a while" Said vegas's dad as they all took their places around the table.
Gosh they haven't changed at all. I saw Marcau looking at Vegas who was staring deeply at Porsche. Till Marcau pinched him under the table for him to focuse.
I looked over to them while they all turned to our direction confused as if they're waiting for us to exit the room.
I quickly got the hint and ordered all the guards out as well as for myself.
I'm still wondering what kind of documents those were that it's important to order out the guards. Could they be planning something? An attack maybe? Both families together!? Pfft no way. I said while laughing to myself.
The door opened.
My dad signaled me to go now while they were all distracted.
"Vegas can you please get me a drink?" Marcau said while everyone looked at us.

"I'll ask one of the guards" said Porsche with a soft smile, before he got up.
"No! It's okay i'll get it" i said sarcastically smiling at porsche.
I hope i'll be able to find that room quickly before getting spotted by a bodyguard.
I walked out the room as i saw the head bodyguard that annoyed me the most. Exactly it's Pete once again to save the day.
Pete was laughing and suddenly fixed his posture as he saw me walk out the door.
"Is everything alright Sir Vegas? Do you need anything?" He said as he quickly walked towards me smiling.
I need to find a way to get him away from me by the time i reach that room and get back.
"Pete i need you to get me a glass of water? If you mind i will go-" Pete suddenly cut me off.
"No no it's okay just wait here" Pete said as he walked away from me.
I had to get things done quick.
Is he serious right now? I remember one of the guards leaving water on each one of their tables. Vegas seriously gets on my nerves. Not even a thank you? I'll drag him one day.
I walked to the kitchen still murmuring to myself.
I asked the kitchen lady for a glass of water.
"Hello miss daunu, May i please have a glass of water?" I said.
"Oh pete! How are you darling, ofcourse! We haven't had time to catch up! Tell me about your work lately is everything going smoothly?"
She hit me with a pack of questions, I wasn't sure if i should be rude and leave or answer by respect?
I surely didn't want to be hated by the lady that made my lunch everyday so i chatted with her for a while completely forgetting Vegas who was waiting for me by the meeting room.
I answered a few last questions before i snapped.
"DARN IT, I'm so sorry Miss dauna but Sir Vegas is waiting for me by the meeting. Thank you once again!" I said as i ran to the room. I completely forgot about him and got carried away.
I got to the meeting room as i saw them all saying goodbye getting ready to leave. Seems like i'm doomed.
"Saved by the bell" A voice spoke behind me.
I slowly turned around certainty recognising who's voice that was.
Our eyes met, I backed away to bow as an apology.
I mean it's not my fault he should've said to be quick.
"I'm so sorry sir Vegas! I accidentally spilled the first cup on my way here" i said trying to give him a believable lie.
Vegas simply gave me a judging look then proceeded to walk away with his father.
What's his problem? He's really thinks he's all that. I rolled my eyes.
I saw Marcau give me an amused smile before disappearing behind the entrance doors to go to where their cars were.
So what are we thinking of the story so far?
They are already judging each other and we just started.
Sorry in for any faults!
Don't worry, they aren't falling yet! It's too early for that.
We got to discover a bit about vegas's life in the beginning of this Chapter but i can't wait to know more.
I took some references from the actual show just for entertainment.

Eight
His name is Eight. Not really, but that’s what the System decided after a slip of the tongue. One moment, he was stepping out the office door on the way home, and the next waking up on a hillside below a town wall. Oh, and the gate guard drove him off, because he thought Eight was a monster. Life’s tough when you’re trapped in an eight-year old body on another world. The first book focuses on Eight's survival on a dangerous new world. If you're a fan of Gary Paulsen's Hatchet, you'll enjoy it. The story is one of discovery, bushcraft, and finding one's way. Note that, while this is very much LitRPG, progression is slow, and Eight spends much of the first book alone. The second book recounts what happens when Eight and friends head east to the village of Voorhei. Expect a blend of fantasy adventure, ghost story, cozy mystery, and family drama. Books one and two make a complete story, while book 3 has just gotten underway.
