《Vegas Pete》Chapter 3 [R18+]

As soon as Big stepped out of the room, I, who was terribly annoyed by his actions, became even more furious.
Because Big did things recklessly, sending information to other people who were all messed up. And that might've become the hole that will allow evidence to catch us. The knowledge about the corruption of the company might spread and come to the story that I've been backstabbing Kinn all along.
The more I thought about it, the more nervous I got. Big was so stupid! Why did I have to associate myself with stupid people? Nobody else ever thought hard about what they were doing. Tawan, too, was rashly acting like a madman.
I smacked away all the things that were on my desk. Too many people were causing me headaches for today. Just like back in the warehouse when Tawan was cornered, he hurried to find them to hug Kinn by the neck and go to hell with him. He said that I was always the one who sent Kinn's messages to him, which I admit that was true.
I don't think I'm going to lie to Porsche anymore. I wanted to admit that I was wrong and repent properly. No matter how bad I was, but for someone I love, there was no way I would ever hurt his feelings.
But this wasn't the right time for me to accept and explain things properly to Porsche. I just had to start over with Porsche, but I didn't know what I should do next.
I was frustrated with the idiots all around me. Sooner or later, they would bring damage to me someday. I unconsciously threw to the ground anything my hand was able to touch. There were so many things I had to think about until I was left helpless. What would my father scold me about this time? I made a mistake that the major clan might find out. Or will I lose the one I love this time?
I was surrounded with so much problems that I wanted to get a knife and cut myself to remind me of the painful truth that no one would care about me in the end. It was just like what Dad said. What can people like me do without my father? I felt so stupid and felt like such a loser.
I almost threw away all the things that were on the desk because I felt like a mess. My hand brushed against the desktop computer, and I was about to throw it to the ground in unstoppable anger. But when my palm grazed against the back of the computer screen, I immediately stopped moving.
From yesterday until today, I never turned on my computer. Why was the
device warm like it had just been used recently?
I inhaled deeply. I examined the computer with my hand. I began to look around the room and started exploring my desk and even the balcony area. I felt many oddities. My documents that were now on the floor were arranged so differently which was impossible because I acted like a tidy housewife here, so I knew how to organize my documents. I did it so it wouldn't make me feel irritated.
But the balcony door was closed and locked tightly as before. I started to look left and right, certain that someone had broken into my room without my permission. If he were lucky, he would have escaped in time. But if he got unlucky, he was probably hiding somewhere in this room.
I roamed my gaze around until my eyes stumbled upon the glass door

connected to my bedroom that was not completely closed. A smile slowly appeared in my face when I realized that the person who invaded my room probably couldn't have gone far and was hiding around here.
Heh. Thinking of entering the lion's den. You shouldn't think you'll get out
easily.
I opened the door and ordered two of my subordinates walking around the front of the room to come in and clean up the stuff.
I wasn't really feeling prudent this time actually. I just wanted to catch that asshole. And in case of an emergency, my subordinates would be able to at least help me with it. If he dared to come to a place like this, he must've brought a weapon.
I put one hand in my pocket and walked around the room in a relaxed
manner. Actually, I could summon my bodyguards to come and search now.
But I didn't want to hurry too much. I'll make small things into big things and make so much suspense it'll make his heart skip a beat. I wasn't sure but
something fun might happen.
I came to a stop in front of my own large wardrobe. It was purely my
speculation that in this room, there would be nowhere else to play hide-and- seek as well as here. And I began feeling that my guess was right.
Whack! I opened the door with my lips twitching into a smile. I was quite
amused with what I saw in front of me. The voice that guided me in my head always told me the right thing. I've always believed in my instincts and it was all true.
Pete pointed the barrel of his gun at me, aiming it at my face with a
slightly terrified expression. I didn't wait for the trigger to be shot at the
middle of my face. My hand quickly slapped away the gun and slammed him into the ground until he lost balance.
Said Pete as he rose from the ground quickly, his hand still holding onto the gun, and forcefully kicked me by my abdomen.
Two of my underlings rushed in to help and managed to drag Pete's neck out of the closet and repeatedly stomped on him non-stop. But Pete wasn't weak, and he could fight back many times as well. Anything that was close at hand, he used as a weapon and slammed it at my subordinates several times. Pete
was being chased and he stumbled a lot until chaos ensued in the middle of
my room.
Pete's hand was still tightly gripping the gun and he would push the trigger
with his finger at my subordinates several times. I didn't hesitate to walk in front of him and punched him in the face, his expression flickering, until he almost fell to the ground. I kicked his wrist with my feet until the gun jumped out of his grip.
I bent down to pick up the gun on
the ground while looking from the tip of the barrel to the handle.
Pete, no matter how strong he was, ended up being crushed anyway. He fell to the ground several times and my underlings pulled him up again before hitting him using both elbows and fists until the corners of his mouth started bleeding.
I said with a calm tone, my eyes looking away from the gun and back to Pete who was already bruising quite a bit.
But I respected his courage. Because he himself fought back against my
subordinates until they were in a completely wrecked state as well. But it was good that we had more help from the others.

Pete said as he continued to defend
himself from my subordinates.
My bodyguard hurriedly threw his items towards me.
Pete was about to rush in and get back his phone, but he was held back. If I wasn't mistaken, he should have collected all the evidence in his phone
already. I didn't know what he got. Maybe he recorded a clip of the moment Big talked to me.
I couldn't even find out because his phone was out of battery. But from what I've guessed, there might not be any left. Pete must have already sent all the evidence to his master. Because you could see the whole room and office from inside the wardrobe. I immediately had to quickly dial Big's phone to alert him
that he should be careful.
The minute I dialed my phone, Pete kicked two of my underlings until they fell to the ground before he stepped towards me and
hurriedly took my phone away.
I called his name loudly as he grabbed my phone. I hurriedly used the butt of the gun I was holding to slap him in the face with full force until he collapsed on the floor.
I yelled loudly throughout the room and used my feet to hold back his chest against the floor.
Pete's face was crumbling in pain. His brows were cracked until blood
gushed out, but he could still use his mouth to shout and argue with me. I
really liked the bodyguards in the other house. Not only did they have good skills, but also good taste.
The voice of my subordinate opened the door of the room with a heavy hand holding his stomach.
His face was distorted in pain as he yelled for someone to come up and help them deal with the mad dog below me. No wonder Pete easily got in here and it wasn't strange that only two of my underlings chased Pete. Because today, Dad horded almost all the skilled guards in his trip to the casino. The house was quiet and the security was loose.
Said as I pressed my weight on the sole of my foot to crush Pete's chest until he began to cry out loud because he was having a hard time breathing.
Pete used both his hands to push my foot off, but to no avail.
I let him stay on the floor in satisfaction until he finally gave in and smashed his fist into the crook of my knee which made me loose my footing on the ground. He hurriedly stood up, grabbed a small vase that adorned my room, lifted it up, and hit my head with full force.
Smash!
My subordinate shouted loudly.
My face flickered in numbness. Thankfully, the vase wasn't that firm, but he hit my head hard enough. Blood began flowing along my temples. I didn't feel any pain, I just felt numb for a moment. I touched the blood with my finger and slowly turned my eyes. The bright red liquid increased the rage in my body to
new levels.
I glanced at Pete, who was now being held tightly by two of my underlings.
Both his hands were tightly held together. His feet continued to kick in the air relentlessly. But now, I have three more of my men in here. This will probably be over in a short while.
My subordinate fought him back, trying to punch him, but this was really it. No matter what happened, he wouldn't give in. He was
too tough and durable.
My bodyguard helped me get off the
floor. The stench of blood began to kick up my senses and got to my nose. I closed my eyes and waited for less than a second to feel my emotions boil over.
I quickly got up from the ground and turned to yank my underlings
from Pete. Then I hit my knees against his stomach with full force while still having my men tightly hold both of his arms.
Pete's body slowly collapsed to the ground with a face distorted in
pain.
I grabbed his hair and gripped it with my hand so that Pete's face looked up at me from the force.
Pete whispered. His physical condition was starting to worsen. I crouched down and faced in front of him with a sneering smirk.
Pete narrowed his eyes, glaring towards me. His eyes still shone with
stubbornness and determination.
I gripped his hair tightly, my eyes
squinting as I glanced at him from head to toe.
I shook his head and stood up. He closed his eyes tightly in pain
and slowly stood up as well.
I let go of his head before using my strength in slapping Pete's face with my palm.
I grabbed his face, which tilted back up to meet mine face-to-face, before my one hand squeezed both his cheeks.
His harsh gaze continued to stare at
me. I hated this kind of refusal. I really wanted to know how long would he stay this stubborn and arrogant.
I said, still staring at the person in front of me.
His arrogant gaze continued to gleam. I had no idea where he was getting his courage. Despite the danger he was
facing, he would still protect his master without fearing for his death.
Said Pete with a contemptuous look.
I closed my eyes once again, gathering all my feelings inside before they
explode as my fist slammed into his face in fury. He nearly fell over and my underlings immediately held him even tighter, forbidding him from lying on the ground.
I yelled loudly, my underlings looking away in fear of my anger.
Blood covered Pete's mouth once again, both old and new blood all mixed up.
I took a deep breath, forcefully
caressing his face as I started to take control of my emotions more.
Said Pete as he slowly
looked around the room surrounded by me and my men. His gaze still never showed any signs of compromise on this situation.
I pushed him hard before walking over to the front of the computer,
turning it on, and looking through all of the device history.
My subordinates pointed a gun at Pete's head, telling him to stay still. He
stared hard at my movements. I continued to check the history. It got even more irritating when it revealed that the important commercial data was opened. I need to come up with a good excuse once Dad finds out. But that was old information. Hopefully, the new customers' documents weren't discovered.
I kept clicking on the screen. I wanted to draw my gun and shoot Pete with it
in anger, but I stopped myself when I found out that a certain folder was
opened. My lips twitched before I sneered unexpectedly after finding out that he was able to open this. I tried my best to calm myself even though my head was almost on fire. But at least if these files were sent to Kinn, it would be enough to satisfy me.
I reached for a cigarette in the drawer before lighting it. I sank into my chair
and placed both feet on my desk. White smoke spewed from my lips, and it gave me some peace of mind.
Thinking about the business was giving me a headache. Even though I was worried about having to be scolded by my father,I believed my Dad would be able to handle it. And after this, I have to kill the
bastard Big's mouth before the major clan gets to him first just in case he
would say something dangerous to me.
I kept staring at the smoke drifting through the air. I tried telling myself that everything had a solution. Although, truth be told, I still couldn't see it that way.
I started to relax a bit as soon as nicotine entered my body. I erased all the stress I felt because at least
today's affairs gave me a lot of entertainment. Kinn must've died seeing these clips.
I turned the screen to Pete and decided to play a clip without any hint of embarrassment. Pete turned his head and immediately looked the other way.
My underlings chose to bow their heads down as well.
I said, laughing a little.
Since this Pete already found out about everything, he should've sent a high- quality clip to Kinn. I could already imagine him being so devastated. It was nice for someone voluntarily show it to him so that I didn't have to do all the work. After all, we saw each other as enemies.
There shouldn't be any need to
hide from each other again, right?
Said Pete in a low voice. I grinned widely and lit a second cigarette before looking back at him.
I said as I crushed the
cigarette butt on the ashtray.
Said Pete without looking at me.
Frankly speaking, Pete had caught my eye a little bit. The more his
stubbornness showed, the more it excited me.
I pointed at him expectantly.
Pete spoke in such a low
voice that I couldn't hear that well. I swear, this son of a bitch!
I turned my computer screen to look at the video clip being played. I really
wanted to relive the past now. Each clip here was no less invigorating. And the fact that this would make Kinn feel hurt made it more fun for me. Anyone who got close to him was delivered to this place for me to use after Kinn was done with them. If you don't try it, you'll probably regret it. Huh. I put out the cigarette on the jar before walking towards the held back Pete.
Pete looked up and stared at me.
I reached out and grabbed his neck before slowly sinking my fingers
deep into his skin. Pete's eyes flickered for a moment, but he stood still, pretending to not feel the pain.
Pete stared at me fearlessly.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
