《MY TYPE | KTH ✓》01

Bree drummed her fingers against the pole to the beat of the song playing through her earphones as the bus stopped.
Tossing a quick glance at the door, she watched as a tall figure stepping onto the bus and swiped his card before walking down the aisle past her, taking the seat just next to her.
He had the type of looks to stop anyone in their tracks. His russet hair falling over his forehead in flawless formation, his gorgeous brown eyes and long eyelashes (every time he blinked Bree would get drawn in more). His figure was also fascinating, or was it the perfect proportions it was in – shoulders all the way down to his long legs – he wasn't the type of regular guy you'd see walking the streets. No one could blame Bree for losing focus with just one peek.
The next time the bus stopped, she decided it was her stop (without a single look to check) and got down, thanking the bus driver. She gripped onto her bag straps as she took a look around, finally realising she had gotten off the completely wrong stop because she was too preoccupied drooling over the guy on the bus.
She checked her phone for the distance from her location to her campus, and of course it was a half hour's walk away. Sighing, she put her music on again and decided it was worth the exercise.
"Bree?" a voice interrupted her dawdling and she looked up to see her classmate jog to her.
"Hey," she bumped her hip against hers, "How are you?"
"I'm good," she replied, "Hey, did you hear? Apparently Mr Kim won't be here starting from next week?"
"What?"
"Well, my bio tutor told me that he's going away? I'm not sure if he's right but if he leaves we are so doomed for Chemistry."
Bree furrowed her eyebrows, "No, he can't leave, he's literally the biggest help out of all my lecturers."
Her friend shrugged, "Maybe I'm wrong?"

Bree arched her path to the café right in front of the University and waved a goodbye to her friend.
"I'll see you at our lecture!"
"Alright, bye Bree!"
Bree walked into the café, the aroma of freshly baked cakes as well as coffee being grinded put together was her favourite. She lifted her eyes from the floor to read the day's menu but the first thing – or rather the first person – she saw made her freeze.
It was him!
Bree blinked, trying to figure out if what she saw in front of her was real.
And when she realised he was, her heart rate doubled, and her breathing sped up. It did not help that he sent a small smile her way before moving past her and to the door. Bree was left, staring into the air of which he was just standing in.
What kind of fate was that?
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Bree rested her chin in the palm of her hand as she tried to force herself to stay awake while Mr Kim was teaching them about Organic Chemistry.
At the end of the lesson while everyone was packing up, he raised his hand for silence. She gulped, realising that her friend must have been right and he was going to leave them and she was really going to fail this paper.
"Class, I won't be here starting from next week for personal reasons, so I'm having a few fourth year students take over my classes. This Chem lecture will be taught by my top-of-the-class student, his name is Kim Taehyung, I hope you all welcome him kindly."
"But sir!" someone exclaimed, "You can't go!"
The teacher laughed, "I'll be back."
"When?"
"I'm not sure."
"Sir!" he groaned in reply but the teacher just shook his head.
"I'll see you guys again. Hopefully, sooner than later."
Let's not sulk about it. Let's not sulk about it. Let's not sulk about it.
Bree kept repeating in her head but once the teacher left the theatre, her expression turned into a sad pout. He was the reason she was excelling in that subject and now he was leaving.

This Kim Taehyung better be half as good at Mr Kim is.

The next day was lecture-free day, so Bree decided to head to the library and get some work done there.
"Excuse me," she let out quietly, trying to get past someone standing in the middle of the aisle reading a book.
He turned around, and Bree almost burst out laughing at the mere sight of him. How is it possible to see him unplanned three times in two days?
He seemed to remember her as a smile tugged on the side of his mouth, "We have to stop meeting like this."
She was dumbfounded.
He noticed me?
He remembered me?
"U-Uh," she let out an awkward laugh, "You're right."
"So you're a second year?" he asked and she nodded.
"How'd you know?"
He pointed at the ID she had hanging around her neck, and she quickly ripped it off, throwing it in her bag in a rush. She never looked good in ID photos.
"What about you?" she tried changing the subject.
"Fourth year," he looked over at the books she was holding. "Oh? You study Advanced Chemistry?"
"Unfortunately, yes."
He chuckled, and that was when Bree found out chuckling could actually look elegant and gorgeous as opposed to the normal seal-like laugh she would do herself.
"Your lecturer won't be able to teach from next week, do you know about that?"
"Yeah, he told us yesterday, do you know why? Or when he'll be back?"
"One of his children is sick, he's flying over to London with him to get some treatment done."
"Oh," Bree slowly nodded, "So I'm guessing he doesn't know when he'll be back then."
He nodded, "Nope."
"That sucks," she puffed out some air, "I hope his son's okay."
"Well, he's got to be so he can come back to teach us."
"True," Bree grinned, "Wait – us? He teaches you too?"
He nodded, "Yup."
"So you do Chem too?"
"Yeah."
"Do you know a Kim Taehyung? He's the student Mr Kim told us would be taking over our class, we're not sure who he is."
"You don't know him?"
"No," she shook her head, "But apparently he's like a super geek."
He bit his lip.
"A what?"
"Rumour has it that he has zero friends and spends all his time studying. Do you know him?"
"Hmm, yeah, kinda-" he was cut off when his phone rang. With one look at the screen he stood upright in the aisle, "Sorry, I'm going to have to go."
"Oh," she coughed, "U-Uh b-bye."
"I'll see you around," he grinned and placed his book into the shelf before turning and walking away.
When he was out of sight, she leaned against the shelf and let out the deep breath she had been holding in.
He seemed so perfect from afar. But now that she had actually talked to him she realised, he was perfect up close too.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Finally Monday came along and everyone was entering the theatre, both excited and nervous to meet the new lecturer.
As Bree walked in, she saw a familiar figure standing outside the door, talking to someone who normally puts the microphones on the speakers.
What's the guy from the library doing here?
She shrugged it off and walked inside. Any opportunity to look at him was one she took with gratitude.
When everyone was finally inside, the door opened slowly, and he walked in. Bree was late connecting the dots and when she realised what was happening, she shook her head, trying to convince herself she was wrong.
"Hi everyone," he started, "My name is Kim Taehyung and I'm going to be your Chemistry lecturer for the next few weeks. I know some of you may know me," this caused Bree to look at him just to see him staring right back at her.
She shut her eyes in embarrassment, looking to the floor.
I literally called him a super geek to his face.
What am I going to do now?

An entire sea of ink could not adequately describe my feelings towards him. It was almost as if all the stars in the sky were condensed into a single, twinkling one. The only words I felt could convey some of what I felt for him, easily fell from my lips. ' I love you, too.'"
