Her ruby eyes were imprinted in my head. She was going to kill me.
As soon as I felt the burst of heavy air, I rushed towards it knowing that it was her. It was too condensed that you could almost see it from afar. I raced even though I was at the other end of the pack. I couldn't let her be in this fight on her own. I should've stayed or let Jack stay with her. I didn't learn from my mistakes. With this rogue issue, she'll probably not let it pass, especially when they killed someone.
My wound still stings but it's no different from this looming sorrow inside. I guess I'm prepared to die in her hands but I couldn't shake the feeling of being hurt. I would've asked how could she do this to her mate if I had not known her. However, I know of the pain of losing someone and being unable to do anything about it. She wanted revenge and that might be the only thing that's going inside her head.
If Alpha Gael did not arrive, I won't have a chance to prevent her from chasing whoever was with her. There was another presence before that heavy air, that might be the other Alpha Rogue.
I heard a knock on the door. We returned to their pack house, the rogues left without much fight.
"Come in." It was Jack. He finally found his mate but this trouble we're in makes me feel irresponsible. I should be the one to ensure that they are both safe. But I couldn't even take care of my own mate.
"Alpha." Jack whispered. We need to go home; I know that. It is customary that his mate will come with us and they can have a farewell dinner or party, and we can have a small celebration at our pack. Yet, we are met with this trouble. I need to resolve this immediately.

"Where is Alpha Gael?" I stood up.
"He's in the conference room." I better talk to him.
As I entered the room, the Alpha's eyes are already at the door. His brows are creased; still on high alert. The Luna gave a small smile holding the other's arm.
"How are you and your Luna?" He asked.
"I have no serious injury and she is resting." After we got back, she asked to be left alone. Her tone gone cold like when she's in front of Aiyu's grave.
"Good to know." He relaxed a bit, I don't know if he witnessed how I got my wound but I knew he felt her presence.
"How are the others?" I asked still wary of his stand against this Alpha Rogue.
"There are no casualties. I sent scouts to sweep the borders so we can rest for now. As for the intruders, we don't have a clear proof of their motive." Right, if it was a normal rogue attack, they would have targeted the supplies. Their moves were taunting, testing the waters.
"Do you plan on leaving?" The Luna asked. "It is still unsafe outside."
"If you allow our stay until it's clear."
This time the Luna turned to her mate, silent for a few second as they seem to communicate through their mind link, before she looked back at me.
"Of course, you can stay as long as you want." She smiled. Their opposite personality complements each other. Something fate cannot deny.
"However, you must tell us what you know." He paused. "About the Alpha Rogue."
I'm right, he's suspecting something. But which one? There are two now who claims the title. One was Damon and the other just attacked us. But the real one, as far as it goes, is my mate.

"I have never met the one who attacked this time. The one who attacked us before is dead."
"I have contacted Alpha Dmitri, he will arrive shortly. He had the same problem as we had or have. If this is a coordinated attack to our packs then it must mean something."
The details of the incident in Decadillion pack was kept confidential, even to us Alphas, no one dared to talk about it. But our packs have been in a long history. If Alpha Dmitri will disclose it, it would be to us. As for Thalia, I can't tell what happened with her that time.
Alpha Gael's eyes stared past me. I was too occupied on how to keep Thalia's identity that I did not realize she entered the room.
"It's not exactly the same problem." Her voice awakens me.
"You sound so certain." The Luna commented.
"Because I am." She walked past me, briefly meeting my eyes. "She wanted revenge from me." She turned to them. Wait... What did she say?
"Apparently, she's Damon's mate."
"Damon? You mean the one who attacked your pack?"
Revenge? His mate...
"How do you know she's his mate?"
"She told me herself."
