《The Monster Inside ➺ Scott. M》Chapter 7

Astrid and the others arrived at a Motel called 'Motel Glen Capri'. Everyone left the bus, not too happy about the Motel. It certainly wasn't the best one they've ever seen. It looked old and deserted.
"I've seen worse" Scott said.
"Where have you seen worse?" Stiles asked.
Coach blew a while "listen up. The meets been pushed till tomorrow. This is the closest motel with the most vacancies and least amount of good judgement when it comes to accepting a bunch of degenerates like yourselves" Coach lifted up his right arm, holding a bunch of keys. "You'll be pairing up. Choose wisely." Everyone took a key, Astrid was happy that she got a room for herself. "And I'll have no sexual perversions perpetrated by you little deviants. Got that? Keep your dirty little hand to your dirty little selves!" Coach added as everyone headed to their rooms.
Astrid stood next to Lydia and Allison, as the bus drove away.
"I don't like this place" Lydia said.
"Me neither, love" Astrid said "it smells like death" she added as she walked away, heading to her room.
She got to her room '214'. She put her bag on the bed and laid down. She sighed, smelling the room. It smelt like mould.
"Disgusting" she muttered. She walked out of the room, she had a feeling like she was being followed. She turned around but no one was there. She suddenly first scared, for the first time in almost a century. She gulped and carried on walking, she saw Lydia talking with a woman who owned the Motel.
"What's that? That number?" She heard Lydia ask as she watched her, sitting on the stairs.
"Its a kind of inside thing for the Motel. My husband insists on keeping it up." The old lady replied.
"What do you mean?" The redhead asked.
"It a little bit morbid, to be honest. You sure you want to know?"
"Tell me" Lydia answered, curious.
"We're not gonna make the top list of anyone's list when it comes to customer satisfaction."
"Obviously"
"But we are number one in California when it comes to one disturbing little detail." The lady paused. "Since opening, more than any other motel in California, we have the most guest suicides"
"198?"
"And counting" the lady laughed.
Lydia walked away, heading back to her room.
"Are you Okay?" Lydia asked when she saw Astrid sitting on the stairs.
"I'm... okay" she replied quietly as she looked around.
Lydia walked past with a concerned look on her face. She went back to her room.
Astrid got up, sighing and walking up the steps. She suddenly paused as she heard someone say her name.
"Why did you kill me? I didn't do anything wrong!" Astrid saw a girl with a slit throat looking at her.
"M-Mary?" Astrid asked.
"I didn't do anything wrong!" She repeated.
"It was an accident! I swear!" Astrid sobbed.
Astrid just arrived in New York with her human best friend. They were excited for the two week trip that they would spend together.
"So... where should we go first?" Mary asked happily.
"Hmm... how about... a bar?" Astrid suggested.
"Great idea!"
They went to a huge bar. It was clean and not many people were there. They sat down and ordered some drinks.
They were having a good time. A time without problems. A time when they could relax and spend some time together.
When they left, they were both slightly drunk and it was already dark outside.

"My dad would've killed me if he was here" Mary laughed. Astrid laughed with her.
They were walking through the dark alleys of New York. Mary kept looking behind her which made Astrid a bit concerned. She looked around and saw three men following them.
"Don't worry. They won't hurt us" Astrid told her brunette friend.
"What if they do? I'm sure we won't beat them if they attack us" Mary said, not knowing what Astrid was as she slightly picked up her pace.
They heard the men whistle behind them as their footsteps got closer to them. Astrid sighed as she felt a man's hand on her shoulder.
"Mate, do you mind?" She asked.
"Ooh... I love your accent, sweetheart" a blonde man said, referring to her British accent.
"Let go or you'll regret it" she warned.
A brunette man pushed her friend towards a wall, holding her wrists above her head.
"And what will you do if I don't?" The blonde man asked.
"This!" She said as she broke his arm. The man screamed in pain as he held his now broken arm.
A blue eyed man took out a knife and held it up, anger in his face.
Astrid smiled and showed him her vampire face. The man took a step back in fear as his brunette friend started kissing Mary's neck.
She sped towards the blue eyed man and took his knife. She pushed him on the floor.
She walked towards the brunette who held Mary and tried to slash the back of his neck, however he ducked down, trying to take off Mary's trousers. So instead of killing the man, she accidentally slashed her friend's throat. Astrid's eyes went wide as blood came out of her friend's mouth. Blood was now covering her cleavage. She pulled the man away and snapped his neck.
Mary fell on the ground, still breathing weakly.
"I'm so sorry" Astrid said as she bit her wrist. She out it to her friend's mouth but she was too late.
"No...no... please, God, No!" Astrid sobbed over her friends lifeless body.
Her brothers words echoed in her head "you're friends with a human? Love, one of you is going to get hurt". He was right. One of them did get hurt, Astrid wished it was her.
"I- I didn't mean to..." Astrid's voice cracked as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Are you alright?" She heard someone ask, she turned around, she saw Lydia and Allison standing behind her. She turned back around but Mary was nowhere to be seen.
"Yeah... I'm.. fine" Astrid replied as she wiped the tears from her face.
"You don't look fine" Lydia said as the two girls walked towards her.
"I don't want to talk about it" Astrid said.
"Okay... but we're here if you want to talk" Allison said. Astrid nodded as the two girls walked towards the little room where the owner usually was. Astrid followed them, not wanting to be alone.
"Lydia... didn't you say that the number was 198?" Allison asked as the number was now 202.
"It was... I swear.. it was" Lydia said.
"Okay.. so does that mean that there were more suicides?" Allison asked.
"Or they're about to happen" Lydia said, looking at the number as she bit her bottom lip.
"I'll go back to my room" Astrid said as she began walking back to her room.
-------
Stiles, Lydia and Allison stood in the girl's room.
"Last time I saw Scott act like that was during the full moon" Allison told Stiles and Lydia.

"Yeah, I know. He was definitely a little off with me, too." Stiles said "but actually, it was Boyd who was really off. I watched him put his fist through the vending machine."
"See, it is the Motel" Lydia said "either we need to get out of here right now or someone needs to learn how to do an exorcism ASAP" Lydia said as she took out a bible from a cupboard. "Before the werewolves go crazy and kill us"
"Just hold on , alright?" Stiles interrupted "What if it's not just the Motel? The number in the office went up by four, right?" Stiles asked. Allison nodded.
"What if it's four werewolves?" Stiles asked.
"Scott, Isaac, Boyd and Astrid" Allison muttered.
"Maybe we were meant to come here." Stiles said.
"Exactly! So can we get the hell out of here now?" Lydia said, paranoid. "Please?"
"Wait, hang on. Let me see this" Stiles said, taking the bible from Lydia's hands.
"What is that?" Allison asked as Stiles unfolded a piece of paper which was inside the bible.
"28-year-old man hangs himself at the infamous Glen Capri" Stiles read.
Stiles shook the bible over the bed and more newspapers fell out.
"No. Look at these two. They both mention room 217" Lydia said as she moved the newspapers. "These are probably a the suicides that happened in this room."
"So if every room has a bible..." Allison said.
"There could be articles in all the rooms" Lydia finished the sentence.
"That's a beautiful thing. Most places leave a mint under the pillow. This one leaves a record of all the horrible deaths that occurred" Stiles said.
"What if the room next door has the one about the couple that killed themselves?" Lydia asked
The three left the room and went to the one next door, searching for a bible.
--------
Astrid laid in her room, thinking about a the horrible things she did. The amount of deaths she caused. Most people think that the hybrid siblings don't care about the people they kill. However, Astrid does. Right after she killed, she felt guilt but she learnt how to live with it but she never forgot.
-------
Stiles stared at Lydia as she was about to walk up the stairs as they stood outside.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Lydia asked.
"No, I..."
"Stiles!"
"Alright, Lydia, I didn't want to say anything, but this, everything we're going through, we've kind of been through something like this before, a lot like this" Stiles explained.
"What do you mean? When?" Lydia asked confused.
"Your birthday party. The night you poisoned everyone with wolfsbane"
--------
Astrid stared at the ceiling.
"You're a monster" she heard a man say. She got up and saw Mikael holding the white oak stake. "You're an abomination. You should be dead." He said with a disgusted look.
"Father?" She said, her voice cracking.
"I'm not your father." He said as he began walking towards her. Preparing to stake her.
She was terrified, she was about to get up but the phone rang. She looked at it but no one was calling. She looked back to where Mikael was but he was no longer there.
"What is going on?" She muttered as she grabbed her head, breathing heavily. She got up from the bed and paced around the small room.
"You're a murderer" she heard William say from behind her.
"An abomination" Mikael added as he appeared next to her.
"You're a monster" Esther, her mother, appeared next to Mikael.
Mary stood in front of her as the rest disappeared.
She gave her a sharp pocket knife. Astrid took it and looked at her dead best friend.
-------
Allison, Scott, Lydia and Stiles laid on the ground as they jumped away from a fire. Scott tried to kill himself, blaming himself for Derek's death.
They got up and Scott looked around.
"Thank you" Scott said.
"Yeah..." Stiles said but his eyes suddenly opened wide.
"What is it?" Scott asked.
"Astrid. We didn't check up on her" Stiles said. Every one ran to her room, panicking.
--------
Astrid stood in her room, pocket knife against her throat.
"I want you to slit your throat. And when it heals I want you to do it again and again and again..." Mary shouted.
Astrid prepared herself to cut her throat. The door flew open and she saw her friends walk inside the room.
Astrid stood there, crying softly as she held the knife.
"Astrid..." Scott said calmly, walking towards her.
"It was an accident. I didn't mean to kill her" she sobbed. Her friends shared a look of concern as Scott walked closer to her.
She looked into his beautiful dark brown eyes. He grabbed her hand and took the picket knife.
"It was an accident" she sobbed.
Scott hugged her, trying to calm her down. "Its okay. No one's blaming you."
Astrid hugged him tightly. "I'm a monster" she said.
"Shhhh... you're not" he said, rubbing circled on her back.
----------
Scott, Stiles, Allison, Lydia, Boyd, Isaac and Astrid were sleeping in the bus. Astrid was on a seat in front of Allison and Lydia.
"I don't want to know. I really don't want to know" coach woke them up as he walked inside the bus. "But in case you missed the announcement, the meet's cancelled, so we're heading home."
Ethan sat next to Scott, with a bruise on his cheek.
"I don't know what happened last night, but I'm pretty sure you saved my life." Ethan said.
"Actually, I saved your life, but not that it matters that much. It's a minor detail. So I'm gonna give you something." Stiles interrupted.
"We're pretty sure Derek's still alive." Ethan said as Scott looked at his friends, shocked. "But he killed one of ours. That means one of two things can happen. Either he joins our pack..."
"And he kills his own" Scott said.
"Or Kali goes after him, and we kill him. That's the way it works."
Ethan said as he stood up. Walking towards Danny.
"You know, your little code of ethics there is sort of barbaric, just FYI" Stiles said as he sat next to Scott.
Lydia took the whistle from Coach's neck.
"Hey! I'm gonna need that back." He said.
She whistled, her hand behind the whistle. She moved her hand and saw wolfsbane.
"Wolfsbane" she said.
"So Every time coach blew the whistle on the bus," Stiles began speaking.
"All the werewolves inhaled it and were poisoned by it" Astrid said, her hoodie on as she rested against the window.
"So that's how the Darach got in their heads" Stiles said. "That's how he did it" Stiles took the whistle, opened the window and threw it outside as the bus started driving.
"Hey, Hey, hey! Stilinski!" Coach shouted.
