"Uncle Josh, Uncle Josh." Gracie called so Seth set her down and she rushed over to him and he scooped her up. "Hi Grammy."
"Hello darling." Annette said kissing her cheek.
"Look I found Grampy and Uncle Richy." Gracie said.
"Hello ma." Rich said hugging his mom when they got closer.
"Hello." Annette said hugging him back. "Met our Gracie."
"We did." Ken said. "An amazing addition to our family."
"I agree." Annette said.
"Who's ready for cake?" Becky asked.
"I am." Seth said.
"I still think grapes would be better." Gracie said. "But I will try."
"You should see some of the cakes they have." Josh said.
He turned Gracie to the window.
"Wow." She said.
"Goodies every now and then are okay." Becky said. "So you ready to sample?"
"Yes." Gracie said and they headed inside.
Becky checked in with the owner who set them up in the back.
"We make over twenty different types of cakes." The owner Maggie said. "So here is a clip board with all the names, each cake has a card with name and what is in it, mark what you like until you picked and if nothing works let me know and we can do a custom one."
"Thanks." Seth said.
They sat down and looked at the different cakes.
"Can I pick first?" Gracie asked.
"Of course you can." Seth said.
So that's how they did it. Gracie would pick a slice and all would try and they'd give a thumbs up or down.
"No." Gracie said as she tried the chocolate cake with dried fruits in it. "Ewww."
"I agree." Becky said. "Here drink the taste away."
Gracie drank half the glass of milk.
"That's a no." Seth said.
"That's a never." Gracie said making them laugh.
"I agree." Josh said.
"Okay we have two more slices." Seth said. "A chocolate fudge with while fudge frosting and a raspberry one."
"Raspverry?" Gracie said.
"Berry." Becky said moving the plate over.
"B...b...berry." Gracie said testing the word.
"Very good." Becky said. "B's can be tricky."
"Yep." Gracie said. "Raspberry."
"That's right." Seth said. "Have a taste."
Gracie took a small bite and smiled.
"That is yummy." Gracie said.
Everyone else agreed and then they tried the chocolate cake liking it too.
"I think the last two were the best." Becky said.
"Me too." Gracie said.
"I wonder." Seth said taking a bite of each and munching on it.
"Well." Becky asked.
"That was good." Seth said.
"I try please daddy." Gracie said.
Seth smiled and gave her a bite and then gave one to Becky.
"That is a good combo." Becky said.
"So yummy." Gracie said.
"How's it going." Maggie asked coming back over.
"They love the last two we tried." Annette said.
"The double chocolate fudge and our raspberry cream." Maggie said.
"So yummy." Gracie said.
"Give me one moment." Maggie said walking over to her display case and coming back with a slice of cake.
"Now this one is not in our wedding line up, but it's a double fudge without the white with the raspberry cream." Maggie said.
Gracie took the first spoonful.
"Well." Becky asked.
"This is it." Gracie said. "Almost better then grapes."
Both smiled and everyone took a sample.

"I do like that." Seth said.
"Me too." Becky said. "Our wedding colors are red and gold."
"Okay." Maggie said. "Let me grab my cake book and you can do a style.
"How about while you two pick the style I take this one to run off this sugar." Josh said.
"That might be a good idea." Becky said.
"I'll walk with them to the park two blocks up." Rich said.
"But Uncle Richy my itty bitty legs will be too tired to run if they have walk two blocks." Gracie said.
"How about a ride?" Rich asked.
"Yay." Gracie cheered.
"Have fun." Becky said as they left with Gracie on Rich's back.
"That girl is adorable." Ken said.
"She has her moments." Seth said as Maggie returned.
"Okay so good and red." Maggie said.
"We're doing a Christmas wedding." Becky said.
"How lovely." Maggie said. "Now if we do the white fudge frosting we can dye it red."
"I like that." Becky said.
"And we can do gold flowers all over it." Maggie said.
"That would be okay." Seth said.
"Take a look at the different styles we can do." Maggie said and they opened the book and looked through.
"What would you like?" Seth asked.
"I kinda like the traditional three tear." Becky said.
"Okay, we can do that." Seth said.
Becky smiled and they pointed out the cake they liked and Maggie wrote down all the information.
"Okay we will have it delivered to the hotel on the 24th and they'll keep it in their walk-in."
"Thanks." Seth said as he walked with her to pay for it all.
"Are you sure you don't want us to pay for the wedding?" Ken asked.
"We're sure." Becky said. "Seth and I work hard for our money and we don't mind paying for our wedding."
"We set your a trust when you were born for this." Annette said.
"Well turn it into a college fund for your grandchildren." Becky said.
"Are you telling us?" Annette said.
"I am not pregnant, but someday I hope to be. I like being a mom." Becky said.
"And you seem to be doing amazing at it." Ken said.
"We got very lucky with Gracie, she's been a joy." Becky said.
"She is so much like you and Seth." Annette said.
"She is." Becky said as Seth came over. "I think it's why she fits so perfectly with us."
"It is." Seth said. "We are settled here and I got some dessert for later."
"Speaking of later I need to go start dinner so I can take it back to the house." Annette said.
"Okay." Seth said.
"Let me help." Ken said. "I will see you two later for dinner."
Becky and Seth nodded as her parents headed off.
"Shall we go find our rugrat?" Seth asked.
"Yes." Becky said smiling.
"Look at her go." Seth said showing Gracie running as Josh and Rich tried to catch her.
"All this exertion after all that sugar is going to make her crash and she hasn't had lunch." Becky said.
"She can have a late lunch since we!re having a big dinner with the family." Seth said.
"Daddy." Gracie screamed running to him.
Seth squatted down and caught her as Josh and Rich came puffing up.

"The tank on that girl." Josh said.
"I'm like mommy." Gracie said reaching for Becky who took her from Seth. "We just keep going and going."
"We do." Becky said. "But I think you wore your uncles out."
"Yep, daddy's turn." Gracie said.
"Okay kid." Seth said.
Becky set her down and Gracie took off and Seth ran after her catching her and making her giggle.
"No fair, my itty bitty legs are small and tired." Gracie said.
"I bet." Seth said. "How about we swing together."
"Yay." Gracie said and Seth walked over to the tire swing and sat down with her on his lap and used his legs to move them around.
"She is quite the girl." Rich said.
"She is." Becky said. "How does it feel having a niece?"
"Feels great." Rich said. "Kinda glad she's here now Ma will stop bugging me about settling down and having kids."
"Nah, she'll want the, even more once we're gone." Becky said.
"Damn." Rich said with a chuckle.
"Life will happen as it happens." Becky said.
"It will." Rich said. "How is work?"
"Work is good, feuding with the girls like normal, showing the, why I am The Man." Becky said.
"I thought you were friends with Sasha and Bayley?" Rich said. "Isn't Bayley part of your deadboys?"
"We were friends but both have changed a lot." Becky said. "This industry has a way of changing you. For me I feel I am doing what I am meant to be doing and finally I am who I should've been all along. Now Sasha took a lot of heat when Paige was injured and had to retire and the fan's were not nice to her at all. So it kinda drove her into a depression, then thins with work were harder bringing in a new title and then being pushed over for another team who turned them into a joke was hard to handle. Sasha got lost in the darkness and now she feels she should have what I have because she wants to be on top again, I get that we all want to be on top, but I worked to long and to hard to just be pushed aside."
"You have." Josh said.
"As for Bayley I think Sasha's gotten into her head some and well things with the Smackdown title were at the highest when I had it but then she won it and felt a little put in my shadow which I never wanted. Things with the shake up, the wild card rule and now this new move to Fox that will be happening after Survivor Series has made it hard to get good storylines going and get people interested in them. She like Sasha saw what is possible and want that, but they need to realize the work that went into Mania. Charlotte, Ronda and I worked our asses off to make it what it was. It was five months of hard work to get there, it wasn't we want it so give it to us now." Becky said. "I am hoping after Survivor Series and this move things will settle with no more wild cards, so we can get back to building feuds and kicking ass."
"Things have seemed a little chaotic." Rich said. "But this seven on seven survivor series team looks good."
"It's been a blast working with the girls from NXT and just letting them showcase what they can do." Becky said.
"I think I won." Seth said coming over with a sleeping Gracie in her arms.
"After we did the hard work." Josh said.
"Sure." Seth said.
"We should get her back to Ma's to nap." Becky said.
"I have some work to do but I will see you all for dinner." Josh said.
He left and the rest headed back to Annette's.
"You sure you're okay watching her while we go to the gym?" Becky asked.
"I am." Annette said. "Go work off all that cake we ingested." Annette said. "I will ring you when she wakes."
"Okay." Becky said. "Thanks."
"Have fun." Annette said and Becky smiled before they headed tot he gym.
While Seth and Becky began t heir workout Josh went over the plans for Day with the Deadboys.
"How does it look?" Seth asked.
"It's going to be a turn out." Josh said. "There are forty names on the list."
"Sound be fun." Becky said.
"And busy." Seth said.
"Good thing we have the mini coach." Josh said. "There are going to be some kids here too, so that should be fun too."
"Gracie likes coaching." Becky said. "Loves encouraging people to not give up."
"She does have an amazing outlook on life." Josh said.
"She's seen a lot in her three almost four years but she sees the good and that is amazing." Seth said. "As much as I want to protect her from everything I know all she goes through will shape her to be the amazing person I know she is going to be."
"McKenna was right, she is a light for this world and one I want to keep shining." Becky said.
As they finished up Annette rang that Gracie was awake and starving.
"Will be home in fifteen with some food." Becky said.
"Okay." Annette said.
"Gracie awake?" Seth asked when she hung up.
"Yes and we have a very hungry three year old." Becky said. "So shower up so we can get her some lunch."
"Yes ma'am." Both said before chuckling.
"Scoot." Becky said heading into the ladies changing room.
"Mommy." Gracie called when they came in.
"Hello my luv." Becky said scooping her up.
"Food?" Gracie asked.
"We have lunch." Seth said holding up the bags.
"Yay." Gracie cheered and they walked into the kitchen.
"Yummy." Gracie said seeing the Quinoa salad Becky got.
"It is your favorite." Becky said handing her a spoon and the container. "Eat slow."
Gracie smiled and took the food and began eating.
"What are you eating?" Annette asked walking in.
"Quinoa salad Grammy, it's the best est." Gracie said.
"EST?" Annette asked.
"Bianca's thing." Becky said chuckling. "EST as in bestest, greatest."
"I see." Annette said. "She's on your team for Survivor Series."
"She is." Becky said. "Gracie likes hanging out with the girls, she has a unique relationship with each."
"That's good." Annette said.
"All done." Gracie said. "Thank you mommy."
"You are welcome." Becky said.
"Mommy?" Gracie asked.
"Yes." Becky replied.
"Did you know Grammy has pictures of you as a naked baby?" Gracie asked.
"I do." Becky said. "At home I have your baby book that your mama and Addison made and their are naked picture of you in it."
"Welly?" Gracie said.
"When we come back next month we'll bring yours and you can compare them." Becky said.
"Okay." Gracie said. "I wonder if Grandma has pictures of daddy?"
"She does." Becky said. "You can ask her when you see her next."
"I miss grandma." Gracie said. "And my bed."
"I know, you'll see it Tuesday when we get home." Seth said.
"And Kevin." Gracie said.
"And Kevin." Seth said. "I am sure he misses you."
"What's this?" Gracie asked when Ken came in and handed her a bag.
"It's a present for me granddaughter." Ken said.
"Wow." Gracie said. "May I open it please mommy?"
"Go for it." Becky said smiling.
Gracie pulled the wrapping off like only an excited kid could making all the adults laugh.
"Oh my." Becky said seeing the play vanity and chair.
"Look mommy like they use at work." Gracie said.
"I see." Becky said.
"And don't worry, I am going to ship it to your house tomorrow so you can have it when you get home." Ken said.
"Thank you grampy." Gracie said hugging him.
"You're welcome sweetheart." Ken said. "It come with lot of pretentious things too."
"Can we open it and see?" Gracie asked. "Please."
"We can." Seth said and he set about opening the box and setting it up for her.
"Wow." Gracie said. "I can pretend we are at work."
"You can." Seth said.
While the adults chatted Gracie played with her new toy happily.
"I know she's a bit young for real make up but pretend play is good for them at this age." Ken said.
"It is." Becky said. "She's around hair and make up all the time, she knows why I wear it and why the girls do and on occasion she gets to wear gloss or sparkles like Charlotte but she's also understand it comes off and we8re beautiful without it."
"Smart girl." Ken said.
"Mommy can you sit and I do you?" Gracie asked.
Becky smiled and moved to sit in the small chair and a Gracie pretended to do her hair and make up.
"All done." Gracie said.
"I look beautiful luv thank you." Becky said.
"Daddy's turn." Gracie said.
Seth just chuckled and took his turn.
"Looking good in those clips." Josh said.
"No teasing Uncle Josh you're next." Gracie said and everyone giggled.
"But I have no hair." Josh said.
"Yes you do." Gracie said tugging on his beard making everyone laugh.
When Seth was done Josh took his place and Gracie put her butterfly clips into his beard.
"All pretty." Gracie said.
"Let's get a picture." Becky said.
"Daddy too." Gracie said and both playfully smiled and took a picture before Annette called for dinner.

A friend of mine drew the cover art, appreciate its homebrew goodness. PPs. serious readers may want to read the author's notes as well. PPPs.
