《Low Tide \ JJ Maybank》Ch 3

The Motel was genuinely one of the most run down places I had ever seen. It was dirty and falling apart. There was garbage and other debris everywhere around the building.
"Woah," JJ says shocked. "I thought the Château looked bad."
"Hey, that's my house." I giggle, pretending to be offended.
"This place is a shitshow." John B speaks up.
"Motel or Meth lab?" Kie asks.
"Hm, I was thinking crack house." I tell her.
"Doesn't look like the type of place someone with a Grady-White would stay." John B states.
"No," Pope agrees. "It looks like a place someone with a Grady-White would get killed."
"It looks like a place we're gonna get killed." I say nervously.
We pull up next to the bank in front of the motel. I was very nervous about going in. It was very sketchy looking. My thoughts are cut short when JJ speaks up.
"This is your captain speaking, HMS Pogue comin' in for landing." JJ jumps off the boat, whooping. He ties down the boat so it doesn't go anywhere while we're inside.
John B holds out a hand, helping me off the boat. I take it, following the boys toward the building.
"Hey Kat," Pope calls out. I turn to look at him. "Keep them out of trouble."
"That's what I'm here for."
Kie looks at my twin. "Be careful, I mean it."
We all walk toward the building together. As we get closer to the door JJ begins to make fun of John B. He gets close to John B, grabbing underneath his chin.
"Just be so careful, John."
"God, you're so weird." John B says annoyed.
"What was that about?" JJ asks.
"Yeah, I'll admit. That was kinda weird. Since when were you two a thing?" I ask next.
"We're not. She just wants us to be careful."
"Since she's heard you're being threatened with exile, she's been like, oh! Be so careful, John B." JJ says. John B tries to shrug him off. "Oh, give me that John D already. When are you gonna swoop on that?"

I let out a laugh.
"Bro, you know the rule. No pogue on pogue macking. Besides, you're the one always hitting on her."
JJ glances at me. "Right, she's the one I'm flirting with. Because she's super hot, good body, fantastic personality." JJ winks at me.
"You have a problem, a big problem. You need help, you need a lot of help. It's like every girl that has a heartbeat, you're like 'uhhh'. Next thing you know you're gonna be hitting on my sister."
"Yeah, right. I wouldn't do that." JJ denies.
"Really, John B? The macking rule is dumb, in the first place. But neither of you should be going for her because she deserves better." I state.
"Is that us? Twenty-Nine?" We stop in front of a door.
JJ knocks on the door. "Housekeeping." He shrills.
"Should we try it?" John B asks.
"Yeah, go for it." I say. "There's no power so nobody will even know we went in."
My brother slides the key in, unlocking the door. The room is very small with two beds. Someone's belongings still remained in the room. John B moves to check the bag on the bed while telling JJ and I to check the other bag on the luggage rack. JJ pulls out a jacket.
"We gotta jacket, no name on the jacket."
"Denim slides." John B notifies us. "He's definitely over 50, he's got new balances."
JJ moves, looking around the room more. He wanders over to the bedside table while I continue to sift through the bag.
"Yo, guys, come here. Maybe this is where they were fishing." JJ says looking at a piece of paper.
I walk over to him, placing a hand on his back while I look around him to see. John B goes up on the other side. JJ points to a sticky note with coordinates on it.
"No, that's off the continental shelf. That's big swell, people don't fish there." JB says.

"Okay."
John B picks up another note with sixes and ones but sets it back down. The boys continue to look around the room. I pick up the note and pocket it, thinking it might be important.
I shuffle through the other papers on the table but come up with nothing. I turn around when I hear beeps coming from behind me. John B presses buttons on a safe that was in the cupboard underneath the TV.
"JB, that's not gonna work. We don't have the time." I say. "Wait." I pull the piece of paper out of my pocket. "Here, try this."
John B punches in the numbers on the page. The lock releases and he opens the door. Inside is large stacks of cash and a gun.
"Holy shit." John B mumbles.
"Oh my god." I say at the same time.
JJ continues to mumble out nonsense.
"J, come look." I tell him.
JJ reaches for the gun. "This is a SIG Sauer." JJ announces.
"JJ put the gun back." John B demands.
"J, stop." I say.
JJ ignores us. "This is a fucking spendy gatt, man. Just... Bam! Bam!" JJ pretends to shoot the gun around the room.
"Hey, think about it. We are not stealing anything."
I reach out to JJ, grabbing his bicep to get him to stop playing. "JJ, stop. That's dangerous."
"Fine, just take a pic of me."
"Take a picture? JJ are you crazy? That makes us look bad."
"Make our own incriminating evidence? Is that what you're talking about?" John B asks annoyed.
A tapping on the window catches my attention. I move past the boys to look out the window. Pope and Kie are outside frantically waving their hands. Their mouths move but I can't decipher what they were saying.
"JB," I say urgently. "Come here."
John B looks out the window. "Shit."
"John B, what?" I say panicking.
My brother looks out the other window next to the door. "Cops!"
A knock sounds on the door. "Kildare County Sheriff's Department!"
"Shit, what the hell do we do?" I whisper yell.
John B opens the window looking outside. He looks back at us.
"Are you for real?"
"Kat, what other choice do we have?"
JJ grabs my hand, following John B out the window. JJ presses me against the wall, pressing his chest against mine so we are hidden from the view out the window.
"Well, this isn't the first time this has happened." JJ whispers.
"JJ, shut the fuck up." I whisper back. I feel something poke into my stomach. My eyes widen. "Stop doing that." I whisper furiously.
"Uh, that I can't control." JJ says with a smirk.
"Ugh."
John B and JJ look into the room. Due to my lack of space I couldn't look inside.
"What the f-"
"J, what is it?"
"Do you believ-" JJ is cut off when the gun falls out of his pocket, clattering down the building. He begins to slip down too. I reach out to catch him as fast as I can. I just so happened to grab his ass in the process.
I glance at him, a frustrated expression crossing my face. He presses me against the wall more as the blinds fly open. Eventually we hear the door to the room close. I release a breath of relief.

[Cody x Reader]
Hi I don't know if this is satire/ironic or not, all I know is that I've been on a Total Drama kick and I spent the last half hour sending crappy Cody fanart to my friend.
