Lailah On Top

I closed my eyes as I leaned against the hospital wall. Tears started to gather in my eyes but I didn't let them fall.
Antonio had his emotionless face on while Gavino had his head on his hands. Lorenzo and Vito are on their way here.
"You knew, didn't you?" Antonio's voice says I opened my eyes and turned to Gavino who is silent but he nodded his head "And you didn't bother telling us?" Antonio clenched his jaw.
Gavino looked up with his tired eyes he opened his mouth but closed it he shook his head. Antonio ran a hand through his hair.
His jaw was still clenching but then I never knew I would see the day where Antonio had tears in his eyes.
We heard footsteps coming from the quiet hospital hallway. "How is she?" Was the first thing Vito asked we all kept quiet "Answer me, How is she?" Vito exclaimed.
"We don't know anything there not telling us shit" I sighed.
Please be okay, Sarafina. I'm not ready to lose you when I just got you back. Please. fight!
Tears formed in my eyes. How don't they know? My baby sister is on the hospital there supposed to know. I sat down at the seat.
I moved my legs anxiously and my fists are clenched. My brothers looked tired as hell they all had bags under their eyes.
My sister is black Rose.
Yeah, The same one that had an arrow pointed at your head.
Shut up! Just shut up.
Why? Because you know this is all your fault.
Not now. Please!
Why? No one cares about you and maybe the one person that did is now lying in a hospital bed probably going to die.
No!
I squeezed my eyes shut and I wanted to scream out loud. The silence was killing me and slowly my breathing became heavier
"I need some air" I quickly stood up and walked out. My breath quickened I didn't know where I was going but I needed to get out.
Somehow, I found my self at the top of the hospital roof. I went to the end and looked down at the cars passing by like a blur. The city lights reflecting on my eyes.
Jump down and everything will stop.
I shake my head aggressively.

End it.
"Your not planning on jumping down, are you?" A voice said from behind.
I turned around only to be met with the most angelic sight.
A soft smile formed in the girl's face. Her earthy green eyes showing nothing but innocence and humor.
I could stare at it for eternity.
She walked towards me her soft light brown hair moving everywhere which just makes it more angelic and beautiful.
"What's wrong? Never seen a girl?" She joked her voice full of humor just realizing how creepy I looked staring at a girl I barely know.
I shook my head and looked back down.
"I'm Lailah by the way" She introduced her self her name is angelic as her.
I looked at her curiously before speaking "I'm Vito" I say she looked at me with surprise but it was soon turned to happiness which made me want to smile.
"I know who you are" She says which now took me with surprise.
"Your brothers are quite known around here" She explained grinning I nodded my head.
Who is she? A small smile made it's way to my face.
Exhausted. Angry. Sad.
These were just the least of emotions that I felt right now. We've been in the hospital for hours now and I just want my baby sister in my arms safe and sound.
Suddenly, I saw the door to the emergency room open.
The doctor I assume came out.
All of us stood up he gave us a small sad smile.
"The patient is stable but the next few hours are going to be crucial" He started off
"Is she going to be okay?" The doctor turned to see Leonard and looked at him with sad eyes "There is a low chance for making it" I sucked in a breath at the new information
The doctor had to go back. Vito was no where in sight.
"She won't make it, Will she?" Lorenzo says I stayed silent
"She stronger than any of us, She's a fighter" Leonard says slightly glaring at his twin.
I wanted to believe him and that's what I did.
Hours have passed since the doctor came out by now I was beyond exhausted. Lorenzo went to the cafeteria with Gavino and Leonard.
I closed my eyes for a brief second "Mr. De Luca" I opened my eyes and stood up "How is she?" I asked quickly.

The doctor looked at me with sad eyes
"She's stable and out of danger" I sighed in relief "But I'm sorry to say she won't be able to wake up for quite some time" I took some deep breaths "Can I see her?" He nodded his head.
I made my way inside and I saw my baby sister hooked up with wires and machines. My eyes watered as I saw her pale small body.
A pipe was placed right in her mouth. I walked up to her side and sat down.
I took her hand in mine "Hi there" I whispered softly I got silence in reply.
A tear slipped from my eyes I quickly wiped it away I heard the door to the room open my eyes moved to the door.
I saw the boys all enter in quietly they had tears in their eyes as they saw their sister in a hospital bed.
The boys surrounded the bed. Gavino made it's way to her. He kissed her forehead softly and whispered "Wake up babygirl, We are waiting"
A week has pass since Sarafina fell to a coma. The house now doesn't feel like a house anymore. The boys stopped talking and went back to their old habits.
It's like when we lost her the first time. I'm either at the hospital or work.
Currently, I'm in the hospital playing with Sarafina's hair. I looked around the dark room the only thing that's being heard is the beeping sound from the monitor.
I looked at the time knowing I had to go home. I kissed her head softly
"Wake up bambina, We are falling apart" I whispered.
I got out of the hospital and I'm making my way home. I parked my car on the driveaway and go my stuff out heading inside.
As soon as I came in I looked around to see all the light on and the house looked lively but the atmosphere was tense and dull.
Voices were heard on the living room. I made my way there and that's when I saw him sitting on the couch with his cold eyes staring right into mine.
"Greetings Uncle"
He stood up and made his way to me he placed a firm hand on my shoulder.
"How's the girl?" He asked referring to my sister.
If he wasn't my father's brother he would be six feet under.
"She's your niece" Leonard says glaring at him I gave him a warning look in which he rolled his eyes on.
Uncle Angelo turned to look at him. His cold eyes meeting his but you could see the slight fear in Leonard's eyes.
"I think you forgot your manners Leonard" He says coldly stepping towards him.
I saw Leonard gulp by now he was standing right infront of him holding his arm tightly
"I think he get's it" I spoke emotionlessly he ignored me I was beyond mad.
"What? Have nothing to say now" He says
Leonard gritted his teeth together but before Leonard could open his mouth a slap sound echoed through the room Leonard's face went flying to the side and that's when I lost it.
He isn't going to treat us like shit anymore.
I made my way to him calmly and when I did I glared at him coldly
"You have five minutes to live this house or you wouldn't just be leaving the house but the face of the earth" I threatened his face held shock.
"How dare yo-" I cut him off "Five minutes. Times ticking" I said looking at my watch.
"You have no idea who your messing with boy" He spat and walked out.
I turned to see Leonard he had his face down. He was about to walk out but I took hold of his arm softly "Look up" I say he slowly looked up.
I saw blood trickling down his right cheek.
That bastard.
I took a cloth and placed it on his cheek. "We are having dinner together" They all looked shocked but nodded their head nonetheless.
And that's what we did we had dinner as family but was interrupted with a phone call
"What?" I say coldly
"She's awake, Capo" My eyes widened
"I'm on my way" I hung up the boys looked at me questioningly.
"She's awake"

Apocalypse King: Progression System LitRPG
Hail, Apocalypse King! A LitRPG where the MC fights the System Apocalypse Invaders with military training, dark magic, and a Humanity, Fuck Yeah attitude! Hounded by trauma from combat and his childhood upbringing, Sergeant DeSean Solomon left the U.S. Marines and attends college alone. While at a house party, the world as DeSean knows it ends. All of humanity receives a System notification. Do you wish to be saved from the taint of chaos? A countdown starts. Time is of the essence. To say yes will transform you into a monstrous zealot controlled by a genocidal eldritch invader. To say no is to be marked for the slaughter and forced into a high-stakes and vicious survival game. Even with the introduction of system progression stats, magical powers, and contracts with otherworldly creatures, all signs point toward the earth and its people getting subjugated. Or suffering a worse fate. Unless DeSean has a say in it. When the end of the world comes knocking, it's not a hero or someone with a special bloodline that rises to the occasion. It's a slightly demented Marine Veteran who storms the breach, summoning demons, evoking dark magic, and using all of his military skills and System Skills to bring down the enemy. For Grass and Glory
Being old is difficult. But losing the love of your life to natural selection and being left in the dirt is even harder. Join Walton in his final journey as he figures out if his principals are just as important when there is nothing left to lose. Combating hypocrisy, youth, bad diet practises and a general lack of respect towards humanity, Walton's struggles are the true adventure of the everyday man. A story about unlikely friendship, being old, unexpected beauty, and the obsession of kicking a round leather ball in the best way possible. A story about a new world, and its possibilities. A story about the grass, and let us hope, a small bit of glory? Author note: This is a project of mine I started in 2016 and recently been writing for again. Writing for me is something I love to do, but can't always find the time for. This is also the reason I have not finished (or come close to) Ethereal Space yet. I get distracted. I started this novel intending to create something else, to break a bit with the current go to's story wise in the litRPG or virtual reality communities. So, this is my attempt at "Something different" I would love feedback or just your general opinion. But most of all, I hope it entertains. Enjoy!
