"I-I don't have one." You admitted.

"You're kidding me. How can someone like you be single. That's impossible."

"I-I don't know. And wait, how could me being single be impossible?"

"Um, for a human, you're actually pretty, and you're fun to talk to. You're also not scared of me and you somehow understand me." He said. But he muttered few words that you weren't supposed to hear. "But that's because there are bars separating us. You don't even know how scary I am at times."

"Can you give me my next question?" You twirled your hair around your finger absentmindedly as you waited.

"You first, I'm saving my chance." He replied.

"Suit yourself. How can you say that I understand you? We not even that close."

"Most people say I'm dangerous, and bipolar. Yet despite how I show you how extremely moody I am, you're still here." He responded.

Your face flushed once more, and this time your heart rate became faster too.

"So you're saying I'm uh.. special?"

"Special? Hah!" He laughed. "Stop being conceited, that ruins you."

"Well, sorry. I was out of words." You snapped him, but softened your voice. "But judging by what you told me, I take it that I'm the first one who doesn't want to run away from you?"

"Yeah, sort of like that." Kanato replied.
