Well, life is not getting better with all the responsibilities to make meals on table.
Totally getting too busy and as much as I dislike myself being in hiatus...
Just share some updates and some design art works so far:
Aethon
The alpha stallion that is well trained and specially selected to be on the battlefield. As in the story, he is not getting well with the herd and a bit snobbish.
Peggy
He was named Pegasus and was previously owned by Heracle. A very beautiful pearl white horse breed for just the look and beauty. Heracle kept him away from other horses to avoid injury and disease. Causing him to develop some anxiety since horse are social animal, they need companions! Pryne adopted him and re-named him Peggy, since Pegasus sounds too pretentious.
Black
A standard horse selected by Lord Vitellius, well trained for long journey. He was bought together with his brother Brown.
Brown
Black's younger brother which is more energetic and likes to groom the herd. Because of that he tend to annoy Aethon and got pecked by him.
So that's it for the character design... the horses might not have enough "screen time" but they are some important characters indeed. I hope to write more about them in future. But most of the time, their narrative are just imagination of Matea. And I do wish to clarify about her preference towards Black and Brown. It's not racism
oh gawd! some accused me of racism for writing about Black and Brown being her favourite because they are lower maintenance due to the colour of their coats. I will carefully rephrase that part in the story. Due to the background of Black and Brown, being brothers and grown up in a better environment, they groom mutually and behave better compared to Aethon and Peggy. Aethon was overly trained and aggressive, while Peggy was formerly tortured and suffer with anxiety. Black and Brown played an important role to led the two back to their normal herd life.
