《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 174

In no time, the fire covered everything, and with fire came nine loud sounds that resounded across the battlefield.
Even though the smaller vegetation took most of the damage, the three vegetation giants didn't come unscratched from the attack, as their bodies burned rapidly.
The jungle behind the battlefield began to shine with a green light that traveled through the ground to the three giants, helping their bodies to recover and reducing the damage they were receiving.
As if the current regeneration rate wasn't enough, the shine's intensity increased, making the trees and bushes that were creating it dry until they became nothing but dust. Even with that, only two giants managed to stay alive, and one was heavily damaged.
"What the hell was that?" Travis asked incredulously.
"It seems like the natives had lent us a hand, so let's not let their help fall to nothing," Jason said as he charged toward the remaining enemies.
"Finish them off before they recover completely!" Nathan shouted as he prepared another attack.
The conjoined army advanced toward the vegetation giants, following the instructions of the two leaders, while those proficient on longe range combat shot at them.
The damaged giant had problems moving around because of its wounds, making it easy prey as it became surrounded by enemies that attacked it simultaneously.
Meanwhile, the other was managing to give proper battle to the army. Because it had recovered from the damage caused by the bombs, the energy it was receiving from the jungle behind it was improving its performance, making it faster and stronger than before.
When the warriors tried to get near, the giant punched the ground, introducing part of its arm into it, which made vegetation grow at a visible pace. Bushes and small trees covered the area around the giant in just a few seconds, only to begin to move seconds later.

Even though these new plants weren't a real threat to any of the army's members, they could annoy them by trying to attrap them with their roots or by taking hits that would land on the giant otherwise.
When the army was a few dozen meters away from the giant, Travis began to sprint to position himself in the front of the group while he accumulated a large amount of fire-energy on his left hand, which he released in front of him.
The energy created a flame thrower that burnt all the vegetation a few meters ahead. Travis repeated the process twice before opening the path to reach the giant, a moment in which his right arm began to release large amounts of corruption.
The energy intensity was so high that the sleeve and the glove that covered his right arm became dust under the pressure of the energy, revealing a deep black arm that stopped at his elbow, where dozens of runes shined nonstop to prevent the corruption from extending to the rest of the body.
As more corruption left the arm, it grew in size and even changed its shape, becoming a large claw with sharp fingers.
As soon as he arrived before the giant, he stabbed his claws' fingers into its leg, making the corruption flow into the enemy's body. In no time, the shine released by the giant decreased while purple dots appeared on its leaves.
The giant's body began to rot as it tried to get rid of Travis, but as soon as it managed to make him retreat a few meters, a barrage of projectiles and spells hit it, dealing significant damage to the giant.
It did its best to stand up again as it recovered from the energy it was receiving from the jungle, but the giant could not defend himself when the rest of the army arrived at his side.

In less than a few minutes, the giant suffered the same fate as his companion and was massacred by the army after they surrounded it.
When they finished the last enemy, the army rearranged itself again to strengthen the side looking toward the military base.
"What is the plan right now?" Nathan asked.
"The best would be to try to communicate with the natives as it looks like they have decided to help us. If that's true, we can get information about what we are looking for from them." Jason suggested. "Angel boy, can you talk with them again."
"Yes, I'm already doing it," Azrael said as he stared at the military base.

The Head That Wears The Crown
It's a tale as old as time. Boy goes to funeral. Boy gets sucked into a different world. Boy has to lead a settlement. Boy has to lead a settlement? Boy has to lead a settlement. This is a story about that settlement, and some other stuff. Maybe. Disclaimer: Not sure if it qualifies enough for a gore tag. There is a description of someone's death somewhere in this, but I don't think it is descriptive enough to justify a gore tag. Disclaimer part deux: I initially started writing this as background for another story but got so into it I just ended fleshing it out a bit. Disclaimer part tres: People love reading disclaimers don't they? It's why I've included so many. They're just for you. Disclaimer part four: I know, this is getting egregious. You're starting to find it less funny. Just wait till the twentieth disclaimer, it will start being funny again. Disclaimer part five: I'm kidding, this is the last one. I don't promise I'll read every comment or message, but I certainly welcome your feedback. Disclaimer part six: I lied, it wasn't the last one. I wrote this story without breaking it down into chapters. It just goes, that means that the chapter ends when it ends, not when there is a convenient break in the story. That means that it's very annoying for you as a reader since chapters can end mid sentence. Hah! Sucker! Disclaimer part seven: Get ready for slow updates. Who knows when this will continue. Toss it on read later and come back in fifty years. Disclaimer part eight: Cover Photo by Arthur Ogleznev on Unsplash
