《The [God] Machine》Progress Report: Part 14 Waiting Room
Advertisement
This chapter, if you could even call it that, serves to document my progress on upcoming parts as well as other things I may be working on or planning. Entries will be listed by date (mm/dd/yyyy) with the most recent entries being towards the top of this page.
8/19/2022: Damn, its been a while. Don't think I've forgotten about you yet though, because believe me, I haven't. I'm about to wrap up undergrad and have begun the job hunting process. Needless to say, I haven't had much time to dedicate to this. In an effort to get myself back into this, I've taken to rewriting the first couple parts to make the narrative style more consistent and address a few holes, among other things. We'll probably ended up with less total chapters but at a similar word count. Part 1—now a combination of 1 and 2—is done, so it'll end up on here sooner or later. The older, legacy parts will remain accessible as a means to transparently catalogue my progress. I think that's all I have to say for now, so expect something soon-ish and have a good rest of your summer.
2/16/2022: This year's gonna be a bitch. I'll continue to write of course, even if it isn't much.
12/25/2021: Happy Holidays, P.15 14 begins with some brief, preliminary notes.
12/25/2021: PART 14 POSTED
12/1/2031: Definitely not dead, I swear. The P.14 outline is more or less completed and the actual chapter is about 3-4 pages right now. Slowly but surely.
9/20/2021: Don't worry, I'm still alive. I've had some important revelations recently, largely on things that don't matter yet, but important ones nonetheless. The P.14 outline is six pages as of now and my guess is it'll be about 12 pages completed, with the actual chapter clocking in at a similar page count.

7/11/2021: Our favorite document returns, now with more lines. The progress on each chapter will be separated by a page break like below. Anyway, I've begun some preliminary planning for Part 14. I have this event calendar that needs some more detail before I move on.
7/6/2021: PART 13 POSTED
6/27/2021: Provied I remember, P.13 will be posted later today. A handful of minor chnages to parts 3, 4, 6, and 10 have been posted already.
6/21/2021: P.13 is approaching the home stretch.
5/21/2021: P.13 is now 12 pages.
5/6/2021: I've posted that short story I mentioned previously on my fictions page. It is titled "Who Fixes Books Anyway?" go and check it out if ya want. On another note, I've finally become of drinking age recently, too bad I can't drink away finals.
4/23/2021: Still alive, though I resemble a corpse. With the semester wrapping up I have had no time to work on P.13. What I have had time to do, however, was to work on a short story as a final project for one of my classes. I'll likely end up posting it here when I'm done so I can say I did something.
4/5/2021: Midterms are over, thank god. Now to start preparing for finals, kill me. P.13 is now 10 pages.
3/22/2021: God, I hate midterms. P.13 goin' on 9 pages now.
3/7/2021: Seven pages now. This part goes a lot faster, the only bottleneck is finding the time.
3/4/2021: Part 13: Mystery of the Colored Wood is now five pages. I'd wager it'll be slightly longer than its outline, somewhere between 15 to 20 pages. I tend to add/change a lot of dialogue when actually writing a part.
2/23/2021: Just pulled an all nighter, did I ever mention I'm back at school? Because I am now. Work still continues on the next part whose writing has officially begun after the aforemention outline's completion.

2/1/2021: Outline is complete at 15 pages. Actual writing will begin soon.
1/26/2021: P.13 outline is now 13 pages. I estimate It'll be done by about 15 pages.
12/27/2020: Even if its a bit late, happy holidays everyone. Writing continues at a very slow, but steady pace. A common theme you've surely noticed.
12/4/2020: P.13 outline now 11 pages.
11/27/2020: Finals are over, the writing continues. Slowly.
11/18/2020: Finals are almost over, work will resume soon.
11/12/2020: P.13 now 10 pages. The classic worm, now with legs and wings. Ruler of the skies, eater of melons.
11/6/2020: Working on part 13 outline, currently going on 9 pages. Slow-going thanks to semester coming to a close. You know, finals and all that.

Project G00
|Nanopunk |Crafting | Detailed Science and experiments | Inner thoughts | Bio-Robots | Evolution | Infodumps | Tell not Show | Insane to Sane | Slow and Detailed Pace | Puddle to Unknown | Artificial Intelligence | Trans-humanism | Bad Jokes | Moving 'Dungeon' Core | Hi! I am G00. I am a project made by some weirdo. Some may refer to me as the wobbly thing in the fridge or the slimy thing in the ceiling. Others might tell you about that sticky thing inside your nose. In the end, they called me the Seed of Life, yet didn’t tell me what I was supposed to become. Furthermore, it just happens that this stage was the most miserable place to reincarnate... Reincarnate as in… What the hell did I become?! (Whispers) You are a puddle. A puddle? (Whispers) Yes. C’mon little guy, say your lines! You’re live right now! Welcome to puddle-springs aka the afterlife of a puddle. CUT! Eh? Why?! No edition or photoshop needed?! We’re short on puddle-staff. The camera is broken, I am broken, and you are broken. Wait! How can a puddle be broken? You are not a puddle, you are frozen yogurt. NOOOOOOOOOO! Additional summary: Spoiler: Spoiler Humanity has finally made the second step towards space. Many developments were taking place at the time this happened. All of them accomplished thanks to nanotechnology. Inventions regarding Artificial Intelligence and nanorobotics created the opportunity, a way to terraform planets by sending nanorobots to space. Their orders? Colonizing and preparing the new worlds before humanity's arrival, aka terraforming. Meet G00, a weird agglomeration of nanomachines. A bit stupid, but it's not because he was like that. The little guy... 'He' is really broken. The hardest start of a story is when language is oddly misunderstood, when you know nothing of the place you just arrived; when your companion is a buggy system, and when you have to repair yourself with whatever trash you can scavenge from your surroundings. All of this while you fight your worst enemy: potatoes? What will you do in an unfamiliar circumstance where nothing is what it seems and where you won't even understand the boring ramblings of a confused main character? Well, patience will... probably have a reward? Additional tags and disclaimers: Read before starting the story: Harem: Not included for the moment, depends on characters added, votes by readers, and things that happen on the go. Magic: Far away chapters maybe... as part of high level or non-understandable things by science. Slice of life: Probably some parts will include it. Disclaimer #1: Crazy amount of content about high-tech info-dumps, slow pace, starts with biology and nanotechnology. Might have some weird jokes and puns. Game bugs are also possible. Disclaimer #2: No puddles were harmed during the making of this story. No character is real, no real puddle was used as part of the cast. Character is stupid at the start on purpose but he will get beta and beta. All written content follows a logical approach no matter how stupid it appears to be, maybe… Because it’s just a raccoon splashing some cotton-candy over a puddle after it was thrown. Yup, a bully raccoon with rabies or so it seems.

Break Neck Alley
We are who we choose to be. Regardless of circumstances. Break Neck Ally is a story about friendship, love and kindness... except its not. Azizi, our protagonist, will go through hell as he searches for himself. Find out more in this sick story. Also, those who read my other fiction, One Step At A Time, will be quite familiar with some of the world building in Break Neck Alley. They are both set in a sci fi universe where mankind somehow managed to create an entire continent! Note: This is a work of fiction and all of its characters, places, scenes and themes are completely imaginary.

Touhou - Journey to the East
If you knew there was a world different from ours, what would you do? [a.] Try to go there. This was the choice on the application form of the so-called "Sealing Club" at my university. I did not know that this marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey. One on which I would experience unimaginable things, see magical places and meet mysterious beings. A journey that would change me forever. This is a fan fiction based on the Touhou Project bullet hell game series created by ZUN. It employs the many colorful and varied characters of these games (who are predominantly female), with some of them having canon personalities, while others are original interpretations. The story is written in first-person, as you may gather from the description above, and has a rather slow pacing - please bear with it. Warning: If you don't like to see your Touhou characters get hurt, emotionally or physically, this is not for you. There will be bloody conflicts.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
