Ivan frantically rotated his head, but sadly his attempt to find any chance to escape returned empty handed.

You just threw us in a situation we could hardly understand and now you demand our cooperation? Isn't it a bit too hasty? At least you should've given us some time to discuss this!"

Right! That girl was a genius! At present it was impossible be waived from interacting with that ominous orb. Stalling the time was the best decision for now.

Ivan took several steps ahead and spoke, "High Priestess, I seconded her opinion. Since this is matter of life and death, we need time to discuss this. We're just children and we have zero experience in war. Not only that, we all have our circumstances that make the return to Earth is a must."

Ivan regulated his breathing so as not to appear weak, "Mei has her cram school, others have parents awaiting for their return, and as for me... I have a mother I need to take care for. So, please, can you give us the chance?"

"HA!" suddenly someone snorted so loudly it echoed in the room.

Ivan turned on his heels to see Adit snickering at him.

"Something funny?"

We don't need any discussion," he stretched his arms wide, "and besides, isn't this world awesome? With magic you can get anything you want! Knees trembling, cheek and lips bruised, Adit slowly regained his footing and shouted back, with a quite shaky voice, "And what's wrong with it?! It's better than you who idolized your own mother like she's your girlfriend!"
