《Far cry: My life in a fantasy world as a gunslinger (Idea dump go to Far cry of an anti-hero for a more refine one)》chapter 7:...comes at a price for some reason. Anyway, moar sadistic Mitsuha time!

I wake up to see that I’m laying on Emily’s lap, the left side of my head bandaged while surrounded by some people I don’t really know. The situation feels somewhat like from an anime that I used to watch. The only thing is that this feels nice. Emily smells nice too, wait what the hell am I thinking?
“Oh hero, you’re finally awake?” The old man says.
“Hero-sama! I’m glad that you’re alive!” A young girl runs to my side with her plush bunny and in a lively manner, she thanks me.
“Oi! Chibi hero, thanks for the help, we would not have made it without you.” One of the wounded guards sounds out to me.
“Emily, who are these people, where am I?”
“Shh~ Rest now, you’re alright…the bandit’s attack wound you pretty badly but this old man somewhat saved you.” Emily explains.
“Let me introduce myself Hero-san, I’m Arthur, the butler of the Ischiron family, this little girl is Kirara Ischiron. We owe a great debt to you as you have saved our young lady here.”
“Hi hi…Thank you hero-sama.”She runs up to me and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
Either I’m lolicon without knowing it or because I’m being showered with tons of love by women that I never had once experienced when I was in school.
“Uh-huh… Emily, what happened to me?” I ask her.
“You see some bandit who possessed a gun like yours stealthily fired at you. He wasn’t able to control the recoil like me so his wrist was broken as soon as it kicks in.” She says.
“Wow... that’s overly smart of you, Emily.” I compliment her.
Her reaction is gold, to an amount it seems cliché enough to say that I’m in a comedy anime. She blushes uncontrollably and tries to hide it. To spare her the embarrassment, I switch the topic.

“Anyhow, is he still alive?” I ask about the gunman bandit.
“He’s alive and well considers what he did to you,” Arthur says.
“Good! I’ll need to ask him some questions about the weapon he had on him.”I say.
“Hero-san, if you are to ask him, please ask him about our masters’ whereabouts. We were a three chariot convoy until we were attacked by these bandits.” The old man plea to me.
“I’ll try to beat as much info out of him. However, please don’t judge me from what I’m about to do to gain it.” I warn them.
I then prepare my methods of interrogation based on the info in the PDA. Due to the lack of resources, many of these methods can’t be done. The only thing seems to be plausible is the waterboarding technique. I ask for some water, a cloth and some chairs to make an elevated position.
I wet the cloth and with the assistance of the guards, I was able to tie it around the bandit’s head.
“Hold him tight! This won’t be fun if he struggles much.” I direct them.
“Yes, sir.” The guard replies, holding tightly to the tied up bandit’s head, preventing him from squirming.
“MMHMH!” the bandits try to say something, but it was no use since the gag was tight.
“Ears wide or whatever you say here…I’ll just be blunt, tell us where your gang took the hostage, and where did you get the gun?”
I then pour half a canteen of river water in his face, starting my process of waterboarding.
The principle of good waterboarding is to make the prisoner not suffocate but to feel like they’re being drowned.
After a while, I take off the gag and the cloth, hoping to hear his confession, but as soon as I take off the cloth, the curses of this low life start to spout out and direct at me to be exact.

“Right! Let’s try something else.” I load up the m1911 and casually walk over to the guy.
With the gun drawn, I then point it to the bandit’s back of the head.
“Listen, I just had a very bad day, I had to kill my friend’s entourage since they were undead and all that…blarg… you know how it is, and pretty much I had it when you have to go and attack these people, like what’s with that you know? And in the end, I got shot…Right here, grazed off my face. You know, it baffles me how you got that weapon…mind telling me about that?”I casually talk to him with the gun pointed at his head.
Still keeping his stubbornness, he spits at my face.
“No? Well, let’s play a game.” Pulling out the revolver he shot me with, I then unload the rounds.
“Back where I came from we call this Russian Roulette. You load the gun with one round, spins the cylinder and takes shots until the bullet hits, do you want to try that?”I say as I prepare the gun.
“Now, let’s count to six alright? You tell me what I want to know, you won’t have your head blown off.” I then pull back the hammer, spin the cylinder and abruptly swing the gun to push it back in.
“One.”
*click*
“two”
*click*
“three”
*click*
Oh my god… I’m so badass right now.
“Last chance, I know this have the round inside, so I’ll give you ten seconds.”
Pulling the hammer once more, I then begin counting down.
“Oh and I’ll surely kill you so spill the beanies or your brain is going off to their faces,” I say with a joyfully sadistic tone.
Feeling like I’m forcing myself to be sadistic, it’s somewhat awkward from my perspective. However, I feel much of being a badass after these events. Maybe I can even write a book and sell it to the common mass. Yeah…yeah...yeah that would work.
“Uh, hero-san?” a voice sounds out to me.
“Eh?... What? What’s wrong?” I ask.
The old man then explains that the guy already gave up long ago, after the third click, but I got too absorbed into the action and somewhat scared the death out of him.
HAHA~ That’s nice, but also I should try to not be too absorbed at the moment so that I won’t scare away the girls.
The old man then gives me a brief version of his Intel. The bandit camp is 3 days of horse riding from here, which is about 2 hours of driving from here. Problem solved, so we just only need to find a way to save them and reduce the casualty as much as possible.
Seems like this ain’t that much of a bad day after all.

Dig a Little Deeper
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Being a dungeon isn't easy. Past memories just out of reach, not wanting to be a murder pit and trying to find a purpose are just the beginning. It takes time and several hiccups to transition from being a mobile being to being a stationary rock that changes the word with its mind. What is the miasma right outside the door? What monsters does it hide? Can the people that have found me really be trusted? Now planning to post a chapter every other week. I have added a volume for the maps so they are easy to find. There are spoilers on the maps. Cover art commissioned from Rachel Paizs through Upwork.com
