At Dedius's smithy

"Myka have you finished your gear and mana vein engraving" Ded

"yeah it's done took a week but i didn't but i didn't know what effects you wanted me to engrave into Laz's gear." Myka

"You can ask him yourself. I got in touch with him today." Ded

Ded brings out a small map.

"this is where you'll meet him it's about a two miles away in a small clearing. there is nothing of value in that area so adventurers should not be a problem. Be there tomorrow at dawn. Remember to bring your food and your gear. Don't let the guards at the gate notice you leaving too regularly lest they get suspicious." Dedius

"I got it Ded i'll be there tomorrow with my gear." Myka

"then go get a good nights sleep brat." Ded

The next morning at the forest clearing

"Hey anybody here?" Myka

I feel a blade on my neck

"Myka i'm telling you that you need to be stealthier when going to a secret meeting." Laz

"I missed you too laz." Myka

removing the blade from Myka throat in his right hand Laz started messing up Myka's hair with his left.

"kid Dedius told me about that you've become very devious recently, I approve." Laz

"Thanks Laz whos the guy in the robe behind you?" Myka

"I almost forgot about you Richards, Myka this is a mage i know who owes me a favor he was going help me escort you and Dedius to the next town in exchange i'd help him solve some of the problems he had with some people." Laz

" Hi Myka, Laz now i know why you wanted an aura crystal so badly." Richards

"aura crystal?" Myka

"that i actually did forget" pulls a a crystal on a string out of his pocket. " this is an aura crystal it's used by mages to hide their magic aura so others can't tell what affinity they have, and have it used against them.this one will make it seem like you have a wind affinity."

Grabing the crystal and putting on the necklace. "thanks Laz." Myka

"Myka don't wear the crystal when training it's some what fragile. Now got get your gear " Laz

"Alright i'll get ready now." Myka

While changing into my adventure gear i notice a few wooden cages with rabbits in them.

"Whats with the rabbits?" Myka

"that comes later but for now we need to make sure you properly know about your magic skills." Laz

The main points are

drains mana from around me or a specific target.

it restores my mana and heals minor injuries to major injuries depending on amount of mana.

If i absorb more mana then my limit i have to use it or it will risk hurting me or worse

it temporarily strengthens my other spells

Mana berserk neutral magic

turns my mana into pure fighting power

no pain but causes damage over time

use too long can cripple or kill me

Increases strength, speed, reaction time

Death touch necrotic affinity

Stronger version of mana drain only high lv mages can use it without touching the subject

life force gets drained so quickly the subject literaly turns to dust or just about

needs more practice before it can be used safely in battle
