"GRRRRR" A snarl is heard, stopping them in their tracks. Aishe's mother fired a fireball towards the direction only for it to be slashed apart by a metal claw. She fires more, some hitting the trees behind the beast illuminating for Aishe to see the wolf from earlier. A sharp grin appears on the wolf's face as if saying 'found you' frightening Aishe. His mother slowly backing away with Aishe from the wolf while launching fireballs in an attempt to ward it off. The wolf didn't care as it's body was already covered in metal, the fireballs only leaving slight burns as it prowled towards them.
"DEAR!" Aishe's father catches sight of both of them relieved to see their alive, but notices the metal wolf. Launching his other fist forward towards it. The wolf in the shadows taking its opportunity, leaps out slashing his back. Proceeding to carve into the man.
"DAD!" "HUN!" Aishe and his mother cries out. She launched fireballs towards the shadow wolf causing it to jump back. The metal wolf smashes apart the earth fist and knocks Aishe's mother aside into a tree as she was casting. A stream of blood falls from her head as she lays there. Aishe lands near his father, hoping for him to be alive.
"Dad! Dad! Dad!"
"Son....." The shadow wolf runs towards them trying to end the father's last breath.
"NO!" A force resonates in Aishe's mana heart before being expelled into the surrounding. A lava pool engulfing the shadow wolf and creating a moat around Aishe and his father.
Huffing in exasperation from the first time casting his element, Aishe looks at his father's face.
"Aishe...... I'm.......proud......of.....you....." His father's last words ring through his head as tears stream down his face.

"Dad....no..." Aishe brings his head onto his father's body as he cries out. The metal wolf not knowing subtlety growls out towards Aishe, prowling around the outskirts of the moat. Rage in Aishe's eyes as he turns towards the metal wolf. He raises his hand towards the wolf causing the lava from the moat to shoot at it. The wolf leaps out the way, but the stream burns off it's tail. Anger rising in it, from the prey fighting back. Howling to the sky loudly, then waiting, watching Aishe on the brink of passing out.
Aishe no longer having the ability to move due to the overtaxing of his element, he lays there eyes open, waiting for his life to end. Hoping, maybe that mysterious man would come save him once again.
The howling was heard by the pack. They tried to disengage but the man gave chase. Cutting down the wolves from the back. Three, four, five, six. The wolves yelping their last as they fall to the ground.
The metal wolf hears this and runs over to the pack to see the metal warrior slaughtering them. Giving another howl, the wolves at the front turned around and started summoning elements. Fire, water, and earth bolts formed in the air before flying towards the warrior. After cutting down the seventh wolf, he sees the raining elements and picks up the severed half of the wolf. Using it as a shield as he walks forward. The wolves near him weren't so lucky as they got hit with the elements in the crossfire. Two were killed, while 6 were injured. Tossing aside the used wolf body, he unfurls the wings at his back and bounds forward. Slicing wolves while he flies towards the metal wolf. Ten, eleven, twelve,.....23. A wolf erupts a wall of earth infront of the man only for him to jump into the sky before impaling the wolf into the ground. Twisting his sword in a sharp motion, confirming its death, 24. He looks dead on at the metal wolf as it growls in frustration.

Saga of the Soul Dungeon
When Caden dies in an accidental fall, he is merged with a dungeon core in another world. The problem with that? The dungeon core wasn't dead, and he has share mind-space with it. And that doesn't take into account mastering his new abilities well enough to escape from the powerful wizard that is, understandably, leery about allowing a dungeon to escape. Even after he manages to escape he needs to found and manage a dungeon. Of course the location he chose might have a few issues of its own. He is on the border of two human nations who are not particularly pleased to share. A sentient plant race claims the dungeon as sacred ground. And, amidst the chaos, teams of adventurers just want to make a living and figure out how to deal with the latest challenge. Just so readers know, Caden is not a murder-hobo. He is a genuinely nice person trying to make the best of his situation. If you want a main character that revels in killing people, this is not the book for you. This is a reworking, and continuation, of my original novel into first person. And it is going great! The writing is well past where my original novel got to. This work will never be dropped. Hiatuses may happen due to life, but I will never abandon this fiction. Currently 20+ chapters on Patreon

The Lay of the Black Doors
Nikha von Kranssov awakens one sunny morning to find that things have gone all wrong: Her maid has been murdered, her father is missing, and her house, Eldergrave Manor, is far larger and less familiar than it should be. She decides to grab her trusty rifle and set out into a home made strange and sinister, determined to find her father and confront whoever is responsible. The Lay of the Black Doors is a horror/adventure story that takes place in a secondary world. It is mainly inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, China Miéville’s Bas-Lag books, M.T. Anderson’s The Game of Sunken Places, and Shea and Wilson’s The Illuminatus! Trilogy. Be warned that the story involves frightening situations and occasional dark themes, as well as some violence and gore. Weekly updates. No longer on hiatus! The cover image is not mine. It is "The Drawbridge," a 1761 engraving by Giovanni Battista Piranesi.
