Putting Bast in his shirt to protect her, Rellik opens the door and attaches a frost chain to the boss' right arm. He then freezes the ground underneath the goblin and waits for it to fall. When the lord hits the floor, Rellik dismisses his chain and summons a new one tthat goes across the boss, blocking both his hands. Approaching the goblin, he stabs it in the face, that seems to be a signal, as the lord rips free of the constraints and knocks Rellik on the ground. The boss raises his greatsword and he raises his hands to protect his companion. Rellik feels a small nose nudge him and he looks down to see Bast with a glowing mouth. She launches a fireball at the goblin's face and he crumples on the floor, apparently weak to fire.
-Good job Bast. Rellik says to the furball as a screen appears in front of him.
Your familiar has learned a spell:
Small fireball
The most basic of fire atttacks, every pyromancer needs to start somewhere
He dismisses the message and looks to his familiar.
-We need to get you trained so that you can help me fight agains the evil elves.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rellik lets out a sight, he and Bast had been training for about an hour and had decided to take a break. The man takes a moment to look at his notifications.
Your familiar has learned a spell:
Fireball
A step up from a small fireball, this version is more powerful but costs more
Your familiar has learned a spell:
Earth spike
Based on the fearsome earthspike scorpion's attack, a similar spell is rare for such a low level caster
Your familiar has learned a spell:
Tremor
While not damaging, this spell might distract a mage from concentrating enough to cast a spell

Your familiar has learned a spell:
Air blade
Launch a concentrated blade of wind, this spell can cut skin and flesh
You have learned a spell:
Comet
Based on the fireball spell, this spell has the added bonus of casting more light
You have learned a spell:
Shadow cloak
Create a shadow cloak to raise evasiveness and stealth
You have learned a spell:
Shadow chain
Based on the frost chain spell, this spell was modified to be resistant to physical force
Rellik looks at his companion who was lying near a torch, he tells Bast to go and receives a stink eye for his troubles.
-Fine, you win, we can rest here. He tells her while chuckling. But after that, we need to get ready.
After the break, they move back up to the surface and look around for an apex predator, Rellik wanting to get a better weapon. Looking around, he sees a path of broken leaves through the forest.
-Come on Bast, let's get going.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
