《Two dead men for a bloody coin》Chapter 12: Leaving

POV: Kykvendi and Reivi
... Again? Still I saw almost only complete bright light except this time there were some extremely small details.
"nire semea hil duzu!" It was one of the parents.
"Bai." That was me.
"justizia nahi dugu!" It was different voice from the first one.
"Isiltasuna! zuen erbesteratu egingo da." That was the chieftain. Even though I was deadly and had nobody who would care for me, he still stood up for me.
"Munstro bat izan dezake zuen baina ezin dugu utzi zion guraso gabe." That man was the only person I considered my father, he taught me everything outside my home.
"orduan harekin erbesteratu egingo dira, seme." The chieftain sounded sad.
"Gure txapeldun irten da baita!?"
"Bai."
I saw a faint form quickly moving towards me, and some hands on my neck.
"zergatik ez dut hiltzeko besterik ez duzu orain?" Then I heard screaming, but not from me. the man was screaming in pain.
I just pressed harder and harder until I heard snapping.
POV: Seicig
My previous attempt to coerce him to talk by creeping around his walls had worked. hopefully I could extract his point of view from his subconscious so I could get a better understanding of what happened. I slowly pushed my presence against his mind, to see if it could recognize me, as minds often did. His eyes opened, but his eyes were moving rapidly. His eyes made me uncomfortable, so I moved slightly back.
Instantly, his eyes fixated on me, boring holes into me. His mind was still closed. I snuck through his walls and tugged at his mind. Nothing. Again. Still noth-
Something was pushing. Clearly it came from him, but it harboured no hostile emotions. Kykvandi's eyelids closed, and he resumed his deep slumber. I felt drained completely. He couldn't be learning so quickly, no one could. It took years of discipline to learn to use your psyche like that, and more to control it. had He been taught Fasnach before?
I need rest.
POV: Kykvandi
I instantly woke up and scared Seicig. "Sorry about that, I get nightmares." She was looking a bit angry. "You scared me! I thought something had happened to you!" She had dark lines beneath her eyes and was standing a meter from me. I was covered in bandages. I tried to move, but the pain was unbearable on my chest, Seicig tried to hold me down. "Please calm down." I just continued to struggle to put my arm on my chest, but I was too weak to overpower her.

"What happened?"
"You transformed into a monster and killed the demon terrorizing the town."
"Why am I covered in bandages?"
"A lot of your skin was burned off, so we got you into a bed and bandaged you to make sure you didn't get infected."
"Take the bandages off."
"The doctor said-
"NOW!"
Seicig walked out of the room and slammed the door closed, I could hear her call me insufferable behind the door. I slowly moved my arm up only to see that my hands and fingers were mostly broken or gone and the muscles weren't too well either.
Great.
-Hopefully she'll forgive you, you're much stronger than her..-
Just shut up, I don't need your stupid fucking jokes that make absolutely no sense.
-Do you remember what happened while we were in full rage form?-
I just remember you telling me there was a power to protect them.
-Well you killed the demon and almost hurt Seicig.-
Why would you let me do that!?
-I wasn't in control.-
You said you were the manifestation of my wrath! How can you not control it!
-You forgot.-
Just shut up!
-There, all healed up, though the bed might be a bit burnt.-
What do you mean?
I looked at my surroundings, and then my arm. It was better than before, but not completely healed. My wrath seemed to speed up my regeneration. I lifted my arm and finally removed the bandages. They came undone. My black mark was bigger than before. It looked like a small sun.
I got out of bed, only to fall on my shins still broken from the clash. Milder ran in after hearing me slam into the floor. "Are you alright?" He ran to me and held me up. Milder wasn't wearing his great helm. His hair was brown at his crown and got progressively lighter the further away it was from the top of his head. He had mutton chops along with short kempt hair, and he had an overall square face with a tall flat nose that had been hit a few too many times.

"I'm not completely healed. Please get me some clothes and a lot of gauze bandages."
"No, you need to rest." I bit my teeth down and pressed hard, I felt my shins going back to their original positions. I tried to stand and found that it was now possible, only slightly painful. I walked with Milder to the medic. At least I thought I did. I fell over, knocked myself out, and Milder picked me up again. He helped me open the door. The doctor was close to the inn.
"Largest roll of gauze you have and some large clothes."
"Excuse me, I am a physician. Speak with some more respect." He looked a bit offended by what I said.
"Sorry about my friend, he is the one who saved the town." The physician's jaw dropped and he looked at me, fear in his eyes.
"You're welcome. Gauze and clothes." The physician ran to a different room and came back with a meter thick roll of gauze and a leather coat.
"How much for this?" He shook his head. It was sickening. I felt my skin itch.
"Let's leave." Milder pulled me out.
"Where is everyone?"
"Seicig went to the library, Djarfr is helping rebuild the town, Varr was going to the market and I told Saethwyr to hunt some animals for food, and he hasn't come back yet."
"If you see Seicig, tell her I'm deeply sorry for screaming at her." That was a shitty thing to do.
"You can't blame yourself. We're all stressed out after what happened with you and that demon." I did notice that Milder had dark lines under his eyes even though it was hours ago. We walked to the library to try to find Seicig, but she wasn't there. I asked around and they all said that she was going with a dark skinned woman and an archer to the stables. I felt that my legs were healing faster as my body felt that they were being used the most. When we got there, a giant warhound charged at us with mouth open and slobbering like mad.
I pulled Milder's mace out of its holster and slammed it against the hound, making the thing fall over, only for it to quickly get up, lunge at Milder and proceed to lick him a lot.
"Whoa! I missed you too, Daufi!" He quickly patted the hound and scratched its neck, the thing then got off him and looked at me like he wanted to play even though I slammed him with a mace with enough strength to break an arm. Indeed giant warhounds were tough, and concerningly stubborn.
-I bet dog lovers would absolutely worship a mountain sized dog.-
Milder's mace still in hand, I threw it in a direction with the least amount of people and Daufi chased after it, scaring a ton of people. He came back after a few minutes, mace in mouth and dropped it gently on Milder's feet, which made him wince. I heard hoof steps, and I turned to the source and saw Saethwyr.
Just then, Djarfr and Varr came from the market with metal greaves and vambraces.
"Good. Now that everyone except Seicig is here, I have something to say. We are leaving tomorrow." Everyone looked at Milder in disbelief.
"What about Seicig?" I asked.
"What about me?" She had sneaked behind Milder.
"I'm so sorry for shouting at you." She looked at me indifferently.
"I'm not angry at you. It's just so much happened and maybe we both got a bit too frustrated. Look, how about we go eat something together?" I stood up and hugged her in gratitude.
"Thank you. And yes."

This is Kevin's adventure, and that of the friends he meets. Kevin has the soul of a real musician. He loves music, specifically rhythm and drumming, and would give his left nut if it would help him drum better. He's a rock drummer, and his language is that of a rock drummer: slanged, duded, and frequently laced with profanity. He focuses on music, and makes decisions that even the author doesn't approve of. However, that means all his decisions are Kevin's decisions, not those of a system-optimizing power-gamer. There's points (All of Arc 2) where he wanders aimlessly. Goals seem foreign to him at points. What would you do if you were a musician, and the world fell apart and you no longer had an audience or band-mates. You'd be kinda lost. Kevin is. Arc 2 is a lot of Kevin not knowing what to do, going with the flow, and not being articulate enough to know that he doesn't know what to do. 1.
