While different metals can be tempered to be harder, this study is made to understand and spread the knowledge of metals beyond skilled blacksmiths and jewellers.

Iron

The most common metal for building training weapons. It has an average melting point, is semi hard and generally not a desirable metal. The only redeeming factor for this is the fact that it is an excellent catalyst metal and that it's used for creating steel.

Steel

Technically this would be considered earthen steel. This metal is used for almost any weapons such as rifles, swords, halberds, etc and can be hardened or have variations such as being low in carbon or high in carbon. Other metals can be smelted with it to give it different properties.

Titania

This metal is light, monstrously strong and is corrosion proof, however it lacks the burning effects on demons. it is used for high quality weapons but it is extremely rare as It can only be found on giants' backs in small crystals.

Wolfram / tungsten

Iron infused with fire through extreme heat. It can resist much higer temperatures without warping or changing colors.

Blessed steel

This is iron that is infused with the right amount of every element. It is heat resistant, cold proof, flexible but hard, sharp, causes pain to demons and is the humans' version of mithril. It is imperative to balance the elements correctly or it will go horribly wrong. For this reason it's recipe is allowed only to state approved blacksmiths.

Mithril

The metal of the angels, a light purple metal. It possesses all of the benefits of blessed steel, only much greater. It is a great magic conductor and only angels know how to make it, although it is rumored that it is made from clouds. It is usually sold on spools as that is the maximum size for public distribution of mithril to only the highest class of nobles. Part of the reason it can cut through flesh with ease is that it vibrates constantly.

Infusion elements.

These are elements that can be infused into iron to give it different properties.

Carbon

Earth catalyst. Adds durability and strength to the iron, making it earthen steel or just very commonly referred as steel. Carbon and any variations are very common in nature.

Extreme heat

Though it is not known which part of the process of heating makes infernal steel, it is known that it must be incredibly hot. Adds better heat resistance and higher melting point, however other features remain the same.
