P.O.V.: Ofol
As a holy knight, Ofol found his job easy, killing any demons like it was nothing, proving his unequalled power to his superiors as he rose through the ranks.
Sitting at his desk going through reports, as boring as it was, showed him where he would find his next prey, and now he had found something interesting.
"Tell me the full details." Ofol said with a bit of glee in his voice to the courier.
"A demon of wrath was spotted by a burned down cottage, when a patrol went there. The only survivors were the captain and a marksman, but what is weird is the way it killed the guards." the fool said. It was no wonder he was beneath him, he had no eye for the simple things in life.
"Does it matter? A demon is a stain upon this beautiful world, I don't see why we just kill the demons down south." because the others were weak, unlike him.
"It attacked them like a skilled warrior, no burns on the survivors, which means it was a warrior, but it also pounced on them, like a grief demon." This was going to be interesting.
"So it's a grief wrath demon?" This sounded too good to be true.
"Yes. The council wants you to do it along with Milder and his squad." Them? The anticipation was swiftly turned into regret. Those weaklings were lazy, unmotivated, and had more in common with freeloaders.
"Tell those gaffers I accept the mission if Milder and his fivesome go."
"You have no say in this matter."
Who knew spineless children could ruin such good fun? "Just let me be for a moment. To get dressed."
"Once you are ready come to the stable where your transport will be waiting." the fool then left his office, leaving Ofol to contemplate the situation.
such prey would be delicious.
Ofol thought as he recalled methods to kill wrath and grief demons. Wrath demons are strong, fiery beasts, while grief demons are limber, deadly assassins. He picked up his blessed full plate mail, designed with fluted metal sheets for greater sturdiness, and his greatsword. Damn, his greatsword was being repaired. His iron training sword would have to do. He started licking his lips ready to find, hunt and play with his new prey.
"Boy!"
Walking to the stables in his armor he saw the filth that was Milder standing and petting the stomach a behemoth of a dog that just lied on it's back with it's tongue unceremoniously sticking out.

"Who's a good girl, that's right you are!" The bastard said with a baby voice to the mutt.
"Stop playing with your bitch, we're in public." hopefully that would shut the cheerful idiot up.
Ignoring Ofol he said to the mongrel "Daufi, when you see an opening, bite him between his legs." this elicited a loud laughter from the group, but Ofol was furious.
"If you can hit, you can be hit." Milder said between laughs.
That was it, Ofol would slaughter that mongrel for humilliating him so.
And I'll kill Milder too. Perhaps when no one is looking.
His transport was more majestic and beautiful, a large tiger with a spiked metal collar, truly a beast worthy as a hunter.
"heel." He said to the beast, not bothering to name it, as it laid down to his feet.
He took a step on the beasts head and onto the back where he sat down.
"Rise." the beast rose mechanically.
"Let us carry out our holy work." The whole group then prepared their mounts and travelled to the forest where the demon surfaced.
On the way, THe foolish Milder made the mistake of opening his mouth and blowing air out. "Do you think the demons can be cured?"
"They shouldn't have become demons in the first place. Demons are born from a powerful surge of emotion. And then they become killers."
"But they're still people."
"People with no morals or value of human life."
"Neither do you."
"I have no use for childish quarrels. If you wish to join the demons on the battlefield, I'd be obliged to have the honors of slicing you in two."
"With that thing? The best you could do is break my bones."
"This is more than I need to get the job done."
"Right, because you're amazing at keeping your weapons intact."
"it's here!"
"Where?!"
"Stupid child. Just continue following my orders and you won't die."
P.O.V.: Kyn and Reivi
-First we need somewhere to go, and we can't stay here.-
I know that.
walking down the road surrounded by trees, he felt... watched, hunted. he heard hushed breathing and slow walking
"So which one of you 6 people is the leader?" instantly he felt the air tense.
suddenly a white tiger with a man in full plate and a greatsword lunged at him from behind a tree. Jumping back, he set his arm on fire and punched the knight, but the warrior blocked his hit with his greatsword.

the knight sneered and said loudly "HA! IT ACTUALLY THINKS IT HAS A CHANCE AGAINST ME! I'll have fun with this one." jumping back, Kyn reevaluated his methods.
-Perhaps we can use the enviroment to our advantage.-
No, we are surrounded.
the knight then stabbed him in his left shoulder, but Kyn let it slide right through him, snarling all the while. The knight didn't look surprised until Kyn twisted his body so quickly he bent the sword, forcing the knight to retreat.
"I seriously underestimated you, please accept my deepest apologies for offending you." Instantly Kyn lunged at the knight, burning through the man's chest with his heart in his hand. "Apology accepted" Kyn whispered as the knight slowly falled to the ground. The sword was a nightmare to remove. Maybe bending it wasn't such a good idea. But it came out, though not without damaging his shoulder to the point of limpness.
He then squatted down to the tiger and removed the metal collar around the poor thing before shooing it away which it happily did.
"Anyone else wants to join him?"
He heard whispering. Quiet. "He was better than all of us, we stand no chance."
"If you let me go, i'll spare your lives."
another voice shouted "We'll take you o- Hey! Fine."
It was the first voice again. "We'll leave peacefully. Just don't attack us."
My arm was burning. I couldn't take them on with those animals.
-The luck of the devil.-
P.O.V.: Milder
He didn't want to be in this order anymore. The strongest knight in this outpost just got killed effortlessly by a grief wrath demon and then the demon spared them only because he let his superior officer die alone. Surely the Warrant officer wouldn't see right through his lie. Maybe he should use this opportunity to leave the order.
Arriving after a few hours to the base of operations Milder walked up to the guard standing in front of the captain's office and showed his token. "What business do you have with the captain?" the guard said not moving. "I need to speak to him about a promotion." that was all he needed to say to make the guard move to the side and open the door to a man sitting behind a wooden desk reading a book.
the guard walked in with Milder and stood in front of the door inside. "Hmm? what is it?" the captain said not averting his eyes from the book in his hands. "I wish to join the diplomat's wing" The words were almost inaudible in his mouth but the captain heard him loud and clear. "And why is that?" He said, putting the book down and looking at Milder.
"Ofol was killed by a grief wrath demon and it threatened to kill anyone else who thought they could stand a chance against him, so I think we need to stop snuffing out conflicts with violence and instead work together to promote peace and drastically reduce demon attacks" Milder hoped this was enough to get unlisted. the cheerful look on the captain gone and now replaced with an indifferent look. "Just because Ofol was killed doesn't mean you can avoid protecting the land, we are all responsible for what happens to the people." Milder looked right into the eyes of the captain. Milder then said. "I never wanted to be a part of this order. They just said I had to, nothing else. I dont want to provoke something that could kill me without batting an eyelid, so please, grant me and my comrades this relief. we all worked hard in the years we served here." Hopefully the captain would understand.
Then the captain stared into his soul for some minutes until he said. "I understand the fear you are feeling, and I will let your squad join the wing along with you. I just asked that to see if you were willing to tell me the truth."
Relieved, Milder walked out of the office, no holy order linen tunic on armor anymore and walked to his group and pulled the badges off the surprised group's chests. "Are we walking to our doom now, boss?"
"No, we are going to travel with the demon." Milder said. "It was nice knowing you." the archer varr said again, this time laughing.
Hopefully this would not be a foolish idea.
