Vlad placed his whole attention on this book, he read every part clearly and tried to understand each section before moving on to the next, after reading the whole book for an hour Vlad was fascinated, he understood a lot of things about cultivation.

Cultivation was the process of absorbing energy from the surroundings to stimulate your body, the start of your cultivation journey starts with creating a body in which energy can be stored, this level is called body forging, and it is divided into 5 parts, first is the muscle tempering level, second is the bone tempering level, third is the mind tempering level, fourth is the soul tempering level and finally, it is the blood tempering level.

After breaking through the body forging level your body is now ready to absorb the surrounding energy and you reach the core creation level, which is divided into 3 levels, in each level you try to store more energy inside your body and form your core where you can store huge amounts of energy and access it without any delay.

Although you can directly use the energy in the surrounding, it is extremely slow to gather the energy and it also requires a lot of attention which makes this method extremely inefficient.

This book only went up till the core creation rank, but Vlad knew there were ranks beyond that as Ria had previously told him.

The book also provided a list of martial arts, at the body forging level you can't yet use energy so you can't use magical arts.

Magical arts were just martial arts in nature but they also used energy, which made them extremely powerful compared to normal martial arts.

Vlad went through the list, there were 12 total martial arts, 7 were sword martial arts, 2 were spear martial arts, 2 were fist martial arts and the last one was a 1 was a halberd martial arts.

'Seems like sword martial arts are the most dominant in the empire, same should be the case with magical arts.' Vlad quickly thought although he liked the spear more because of its long-range, so he was a little hesitant even though he knew the sword martial arts would be of greater quality, he didn't even consider the fist or halberd.

'Why can't I use both.' Vlad thought, even though he knew it would be harder to master both of them, Vlad still wanted to give it a try.

"Now it was time to chose the one I want," Vlad said as he looked at the list.

Vlad was rather quick to decide on his spear martial arts, it was named wrathful spear arts, it was a fast-paced spear technique with rapid spear thrusts and a fast body movement, it was perfect for Vlad.

But Vlad was having a hard time deciding his sword technique, there were 7 total sword arts, each had its pros and cons, Vlad was attracted by 3 of them

The first one was eagle sword arts, this technique was entirely focused on decapitating the enemy quickly, attacking the enemy's weak spots with a quick movement to quickly kill them but was lacking when it came to defense.

The second one was bull rush sword arts, this technique was focused on attacking the enemy with hard attacks, so even if the enemy had a good defense it could easily break that but it was also lacking when it came to defense, plus its movements were rather slow.

The last one was rather special, it was called basic sword arts, but what caught Vlad's attention was a small description at the end quoting it was a technique created by the sword emperor when he was young.

This sword art was specialized in predicting the enemy's next move and taking action, it was divided into 3 stances, one was counter-attacking, the second was blocking the attack and the last one was dodging the attack.
