Sorry for the late update… and uhhh yea… its not because of IRL problems… I was just too lazy to write a new one…

Walking around the city, I realized that the city changed a lot when I was gone. Then there was one problem… “Where are the inns?”
“-If I’m not wrong there were inns near the adventurers guild-“
“Heeeh… then… where’s the adventurers guild”
Arcien made a sigh in my head and followed up with “-Its where you found me, Idiot-“
*sigh* ‘well, lets hope that the guild is still there.’ Then we set off on our way to the guild…
“Woot, Arc, Its still there!” in front of me is a building with a blue roof and a sign with a sword on top of a shield. Stepping inside, the adventurers turn to look at me then went back to doing their own thing. Though there were some whispers here and there.
“isn’t he too young to be an adventurer?” hah! I may look like a 15 year old but I’m older than your grandfather.
“Seriously, kids these days. Even dyeing their hair in weird ways” no, this is just how I look like…
“He has a nice ass though!” HUH! WHAT THE FUCK? Po-police! Arrest this man!
Walking over to the counter, receptionist-san stares at me with curiosity.
The receptionist girl has long golden hair and big blue eyes and pointed ears? Hou… an elf eh? She has a collar on her… that looks familiar… what was it?
“-It’s a slave collar-“ said the dragon that has been quiet all this time. OH! Slave collar… so she’s a slave? Are all the guild’s staff slaves?

“-I don’t think so… at least I hope they aren’t-“ the girl, finally done staring at me, start talking and asks a question.
“uhmm, mister? Are you here to issue a quest or register as an adventurer?”
“Uhh, neither, I’d just like to as a question… would you have any recommendations for a good but cheap inn around here?”
“uhm, yes. How much is your budget”
Ehh… how much should I say? I guess a few silver coins should be fine right? “uhh around 20 silver coins”
“there is the golden swan inn for 80 coppers a night, 90copper along with meals. From here, go left and you should find a sign with the inns name, should be obvious…”
Nodding to receptionist-san, I left the guild. But not before the usual guild encounter. Yes, the big bulky guy that will block your way before you leave.
“Hey new kid, if you want to leave peacfully, give us all your money~~” said the big bald burly asshole in front me…
An eerie smile floated on my face as I replied. “Try me”
Then a vein appeared on the man’s forehead. “you cocky brat.” He said as he raises his large hand in an attempt to punch me.
“Too slow” I said as I duck and plant my fist on his face. Naturally this garnered unwanted attention from the adventurers, they started whispering. Though it was a failed effort as my enhanced body had superior senses, I could hear them saying:
“He just beat up Kurt, a B-rank. Just how strong is he?”
“Uwaa, he’s so cool and strong~~”
“HouHou, nice ass and strong as well…Hehehehe”
What the fuck? That was the same guy from earlier… where’s the police when you need’em?
Making my way out the door and going left, I stumble upon the gold swan inn… it doesn’t look like much… anyway, we’re just here for a room…

Walking towards the inn lady, she gives me an unwavering professional smile. She looks quite young, short chestnut hair with similar brown eyes. “Welcome! Would you like a meal? Or perhaps a room to stay night?” she said
“Ah yeah, the guild directed me here.” Handing her 90coppers, she smiles at me. Seeing this, I also flashed my most charming smile… I think…
Why did I say ‘I think’? That’s because I don’t know if I actually did it right… her reaction to my smile was her, averting her eyes as she started fidgeting… ‘Arcien, was my smile really that scary?’
“-I don’t know… I can only see through your eyes-“
*sigh* well, I guess I should ask if they have a bath here… I haven’t bathed in… 1... 2…. Many years.
“Uhmm do you guys also have a bath here?”
“uwawawawa… AHNOWEDON’T!” she said in a panic… am I really that scary.. *sigh* I’ll just prepare my own bath in my room…
Heading over to my room, I prepare a tub and hot water using my C.E. (creators essence will be shortened to C.E. cuz author-kun is lazy). Now that I think about it… its getting pretty hard to manipulate and measure the amount of C.E. I need to use. Though, before I went to my room I heard some people talking about the next hero summoning.
After taking my bath… I sense a huge amount of mana being used up north. Isn’t that where the castle is? What are they doing?
“-Hou… it’s a large scale teleportation magic… in other words… summoning magic-“ after arcien finished talking, my surrounding immediately blurred as I found myself wearing only a towel, in front of the king and some other people dressed in a remodeled sailor uniform… Huh?
“-Tadaaa… I’m bored so I teleported us along with the next gen of heroes~-“

***Kimura POV***
*sigh* “Man, I’m so bored… nothing interesting ever happens here…”
Stepping inside our classroom, I hear some of the people talking about our new Teacher. Now that I think about it, didn’t Aisha-sensei tell us about our new Adviser? *sigh* well, I don’t care, I just hope some sort of magic circle would appear and put us in a different world…
As soon as the words were spoken the floor started shining a pale blue as my vision grew dim.

“Aughh.. what the hell was that?” slowly getting on my feet, I find myself in a big bricked room. In the middle is a golden throne with a man sitting on it..
Oi… is this really it? Were we summoned to another world? Am I the main character? I hope I am… the man stands from his throne as he spreads his arms wide.
“Welcome, heroes, to [The World]!” hahahaha! Yep! New world confirmed!
Then I hear a low voice, speaking in an annoyed tone..
“Man, couldn’t you wait ‘Till I got in my clothes first?” everyone’s eyes turned to look at the man with long black and white hair in a towel..
“Kyaaaa!!!” all the girls shouted…

The first thing I saw when I woke up was a group of people standing over me shouting "Happy Birthday!!!". Immediately after they start debating what type of world I came from and calling me 'William'. Later on I would learn that everyone here is reborn from another world and many children come with magic or superpowers or other gifts leftover from their old lives. I came from a world that was, to me, typical modernity. Once everyone started to clear out my mother took me up in her arms, explained how the world works, and then stabbed me in the neck with a knife. I got better. -------------------- This story was written from the central idea of a simple question: What if a videogame like world, with all the normal video-game staples and tropes, was actually a real world? How would that work? How would people understand the universe around them? What sort of weirdness would the world appear to have from the point of view of someone who recognizes the odd nature of the place? And finally, if left to its own devices, how would this type of world ultimately develop?

Sometimes believable gameplay elements give way for a more immersive story, but I hope to make that as balanced as possible rather than going for cheap thrills. Well, I guess we will just see how this goes.
