"Hmm. I guess that's the end of our little talk, here we are, the inn."
"It will take a while to get used to the name but, woaw, it is appropiate isn't it?"
After walking so much we had finally arrived to the center of the city, to the inn and did it live up to it's name, the building was like a mid 20th century office building with the letters 'I.N.N.' in bright neon red at the top, completely contrasting the simple surrounding buildings it was 20 floors tall and made of what looked like some kind of bright pink wood with a graffiti of a fully robed imp looking at a leather book and the phrase 'If you're sitting there in your silly little thrones, with all your silly little armies, and you've got any plans on taking the city tonight, just remember who are standing in your way. Remember every single attemp you have made, and then, do the smart thing, let someone else try first.'
"No fucking way..."
"What can i say? There are a surprisingly high number of universes with that show, in fact, there is the suspicion among many of us that that fact is no mere coincidence. Alas, to my knowledge, it's never been proven so... for now we are content to use it as a logo, besides, it is nothing if not true."
"Neutral faction my ugly ass..."
"Oh but we are, we just don't like those idiots trying to destroy the city with their stupidity."
When we entered i discovered the building looked like some giant medieval bar filled with other imps, and just after entering a little waiting room from a side passage i was left alone.
"Wait here for a moment and i will fetch someone to introduce you, soon enough you will be the newest innkeeper and be given some work to do for the inn."

"What about quarters? A room? Or..."
"Or."
"Alright. Thanks, i guess..."
"You're welcome, welcome home."
After some time a different imp entered the room and brought me to an office in the fourth floor, after going there i had to fill out some kind of employee form with what i had experience with and what i wanted to work as, i just wanted some time to adjust to actually living in hell so i just wrote 'I have no idea what an innkeeper is supposed to do but i can take orders and like travelling wherever no one else wants to.'
When i finished the imp took the form somewhere else, after coming back he told me that in lieu of me being a champion and teach's recommendation i would be put in probation in the summoning response team.
"Your job will be to follow your superior to answer summonings from the clients of the inn, there are not a lot of willing staff so a single squad will be comprised of five base soldiers and a sergeant."
"Yeah, i can see why you whould be short of soldiers in an organization comprised basically of prideful people..."
"Armies function by respecting hierarchy and following orders after all. But thanks to that the squads are quite busy so it should allow you to get some dust quickly if you are as willing to put up with it as you seem."
I go to hell and everything turns crazy and yet, nothing really changes, i am starting to think they were right... i am a fucking addict.
"Count me in, then."
But i will be the best fucking addict this shithole has ever seen.

Beyond?
Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur) ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— My world faced its end, but I refused to perish with it! So I intercepted a summoning ceremony from another world. One moment!? My summoner tried to summon a demon? Fuck it, I think it's better to break the contract and do my own thing... or not? Why is Mrs. Sacrifice hugging me? And why am I suddenly a child!? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am not entirely sure how this fiction will turn out. And I am not sure on the tags either. They may change. Bear with it. As always, how chapters turn out is up to my mood.

Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Jerry tries to settle down, wanting nothing but a peaceful life for him and his undead—and, when that doesn't quite work out, he sets out to adventure. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.

The Navigator
I'm a navigator. This essentially means it's my job to ferry goods and/or people from point A to point B. I know, shocking, but here's the thing. I don't navigate the seas or stars. Hell, I don't even have a ship, craft, vessel or vehicle of any description. 'What is it you navigate, then?' you may ask. The chaotic nonsensical void between neighboring realities. That's what.
