《Cursed child》Cursed child: chapter 5

The rest of the school day was quite uneventful, although I was quite unsurprised to see that the rumors about me had already spread to the entire school. However even I had to admit they'd gotten quite a bit out of hand, according to many of the students of my school I was now either possessed by a demon, an actual demon, or secretly a necromancer.
How do I know all this you might ask? Well that's because of Shin's extraordinary hearing, after hearing all the rumors about me going round the cafeteria he told me what they were saying and had been laughing ever still hidden in my bag ever since.
But despite all this the school day drew to a close and finally I was allowed to leave, stopping once I was out of sight of the school I opened my bag to let Shin out. "Thanks for putting up with that all day Shin I'll take you to my home now and we'll figure out what we're doing then."
Shin nodded but rather than walking, leaped up agiliy and sat down on my shoulder "OK I'll sit up here though it makes it easier for me to talk to you without being found out." "thanks Shin." picking up the pace I started to run home, after running for about twenty minutes I finally came to a stop in front of the old care home.
"Shin is it possible for you to go into your spirit form so people don't see you?" Shin nodded and once again turned to his gigantic form "thanks Shin we're not meant to have pets and it'd be a pain if they found out." I whisperd I didn't want to look like anymore of a weirdo than I already did by supposedly talking to myself.

As I was about to walk into the house the door slammed open and one of the older boys, Hiiro stormed out "watch it freak." he said scowling at me with the same dislike as Akira had had this morning "Who was that boy?" Shin asked as soon as he had left our line of sight "one of the care home kids he's away a lot of the time now though with a part time job, why'd you ask?"
Shin frowned as he gazed at the direction Hiiro had come from "he couldn't see me but his aura was undoubtedly similar to the exorcists who sealed me." I looked at Shin in surprise "let's head to my room and talk there." I said realising how odd I must look supposedly alone on the front step talking to myself.
Nodding in agreement Shin nodded and followed me into the house and up the stairs to the dusty old attic I had claimed as my room. "So what does it mean that Hiiro's aura was similar to the exorcists who sealed you?" "well it was not the same exactly but very similar if I was to guess I'd say he was a descendant of the exorcists or possibly a disciple of one of them, do you know if he has any family who visits him or who he goes to see?"
Thinking for a minute I was reminded about all the strange occurrences around Hiiro growing up that had never quite made sense but had never been seen as significant enough to bother looking into "I'm not sure about family but he did get a part time job last year that no one seems to know what it is. He also goes on trips with his boss and his family sometimes and I think there's been talk of the boss adopting him."

Shin was silent considering it, "Rai is there a temple nearby or a big shrine of any sorts?" I nodded there was one that had been there since ancient times "yes it's a temple school that's about ten minutes away from here on the way to school, I try to avoid it though because the place has youkai as it's watchmen it never made sense to me before but I guess they must have a contract with the exorcists living there."
Shin nodded "Rai tomorrow I want to try walking past the temple school to see if any of my friends were enslaved after I was sealed." I looked at Shin in disbelief "Shin isn't that really dangerous considering they may have been the ones who sealed you, what if they seal you again?"
"don't worry I'll be in my dog disguise and with you walking next to me we'll look like a kid taking his dog for a walk I'll also protect you from the spirits on route." I sighed but nodded nonetheless at least the route was shorter and with Shin's help I may be able to avoid having to go past Akira's house again "fine but while I'm in school what are you going to do?"
"Look for my friends and see what's happened to them, I'll meet you at the school gate when you leave though." "ok," I said "but promise me you'll be careful." Shin just laughed, I really hope nothing bad happens tomorrow.

The Gamer Is Japanese
Izumi Kyoku, a young teenager who enjoyed stargazing, found himself thinking that his life was boring and repetitive. He didn't lack anything, and he certainly didn't suffer from any particular problems, but he felt suffocated by society. Expectations, results, disappointment. He had to fight day and night to stop those words from affecting his life. One night, while stargazing as he usually did before sleeping, he saw a shooting star fly away in the sky. Knowing how childish it was, he made a wish. A wish for a freer life with his family. One in which dreaming was more than just dreaming. One where every day felt like an adventure of it's own. Be it because of a cosmic accident, a random God's will or simple coincidence, his dream was heard. How will Kyoku react when he suddenly wakes up to a world hidden in plain sight?--------------------------------------------- This is a spin-off of the Korean Manhwa series called "The Gamer". Colossus of Catastrophe
A world where he's stuck in a game like setting. Sign him up! Except that Lazarus found himself stuck in a cave with nothing but glowing crystals and the skittering of rats. And according to the glowing blue box he'd been affected by unforeseen circumstances and transported to the world of Zara. What the hell was that?! He didn't like caves at all! He didn't get any powers! Only this blue box fixed in front of him... Hello this book will be a lit-rpg in a fantasy world. It will be primarily action and adventure. I dislike characters who get tied down and suckered, so if your looking for kingdom building or large interpersonal relations this isn't it. There will be some but it won't be the focus. He will be somewhat of an antihero but more in the sense that Lazarus will be free. I'm not the most experienced writer, but I would love feedback to improve. Thank you for reading!

Hush | on hold
"Your name?"When I stayed silent, he repeated himself. "Your name?""Jeyri." I let out quietly."And last name?""Rae...""Jeyri Rae..." He crouched down next to me and moved the hair from in front of my face, "I dislike when things get difficult, I end up doing things I'd much rather not do. Do you want to know what happened to the last person who made things difficult for me, hmm?" He asked, leaning into me. Is he talking about me calling the cops? He pressed his gun against my head and frowned, "You get it don't you?"I nodded quickly. "Good... And if you tell anyone what you saw today, I'll know." He pressed his finger against my lips and smiled, "So hush."

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
