《History's Strongest Disciple Fanfiction》23 Aftermath

Unlike with Ryuto/Odin, Kano's situation resolved itself in a mere week, his body was insanely strong and in time he will fully recover his martial arts, although one of his hands has a broken bone, meaning that it will never be able to support martial arts in his life. Also he's unable to do Sei Dou Roar, unless he wants to completely lose an arm and walk around with a prosthetic.
It was good that he recovered fast, because now his rumbling stopped, he spends most of his time training, maybe I should do so myself, I can't even remember the last time I did any training, I only hope that when I fully recover time won't completely stop, It would be insane if that happened.
Just thinking about every time I use Sei Dou Roars as one, my time perception gets screwed even further, as one would expect from a forbidden technique.
As a second week passed something didn't seem right, Kitten hasn't come to see me once in this week and is this really a hospital, the windows are made of reinforced glass and are a bit too high to my liking, the door is made of reinforced steel, it feels more like a prison.
Suddenly we had a new visitor, it was the Elder and he looked rather serious at the moment as he looked at both of us.
-I will ask both of you to chose, you can either join the Life saving fist, or I will be forced to cripple you both, you will be unable to use martial arts, but will live a happy life as regular people(Elder)
-Is this how the life saving fist works?(Yashin)
-It won't kill you and honestly although I would love to see you grow and become stronger, you are too dangerous, right now is the only time I'll be able to stop you, since you still haven't recovered enough, but after this point there will be no person in the world that will be able to stop you, not even yourself(Elder)
-Sounds like Sophistry
-No it isn't, you might have already understood the danger of the speed at which you move, even you yourself is unable to control it anymore, as you will grow stronger and stronger, a mere move of a finger might cause a nurclear explosion, you're a ticking time bomb now
This revelation was out of my expectations, till now I had completely ignored the matter, I just thought that it would be bad if the world froze, but what about my impact on this frozen world, what would happen if I moved?
It would be scientificaly impossible to calculate, it would generate so much power that it would probably cause some sort of explosion.
I was seriously thinking about accepting to be crippled right now, until Kano whom was also there spoke up.
-Aren't you too cruel, not revealing to him that he can simply use some Ki circulation techniques to aleviate this problem?
-Yes he can, if he joined Yami and became the enemy of the world
I was having a headache now, so in the end all of this was so that I wouldn't fall into Yami's hands. It seems that at some stuff, one side is better than the other, one has the cure and the other hasn't so in order to not make a big enemy they decide to make me chose, it's sort of like a you will join us or Die situation, only here it's you will join us or live the rest of your life unable to join anyone else.

"Alright, but under conditions, I don't want to be a beggar on the streets or some sort of hermit living in a cave in the mountains, I want money!"
The elder was lost for words, and then he begun to laugh like crazy, Kano did the same, only I couldn't understand why they were laughing. Of course it was funny to them it's like seeing superman in front of you one day and he tells you "show me the money". He could have asked a private Island a whole nation in his name, but all he wants is money to not live as a beggar.
It's the same as asking for a job where you get payed, as if there are jobs that pay nothing.
-Alright, but until we get you a proper Ki circulation technique, you will be forbidden from using Ki
-Unless it's unavoidable, I won't use Ki, but you must also make it so that such a thing doesn't happen, no more I won't interfere with them because they are disciples bullshit
-That we cannot do, also here are the rules of the martial arts world, the tome of life saving fist, the tome of how to operate in society and special laws, your new identity and background and lastly this amulet, It should interfere with your Ki gathering ability, meaning that from the moment you wear it your abilities will stop recover, it's something special, originaly used for prisoners, it will absorb your Ki, at first we wanted to make it into an eyepatch, but we know that you wouldn't like it since it would impend your vision, there was also the option of surgicaly inserting it into your body, but since you agreed to join us such a thing would be unwise to do, after all there might be danger in the future
I was left a bit confused about the books he gave me, some of them larger than others, but why did I need to change my identity?
-What about you Kano, you're wellcome to join the Life saving fist and Ryozanpaku and you will also be training together with Kenichi and Miu
Ponytails didn't even think as he betrayed home and country for love. I really didn't have the elder as such a person, selling his own grand daughter to entice the enemy to join them, simply shameless.
The elder then took ponytail away and left me to read through the books, he told me that everything I wanted to know was stated inside. He wasn't wrong, anything I might have wanted to to know was there and more, stuff that were completely useless and rudimentary, added only to make the books bigger.
The most depressing however was the special laws for martial artists only, they were mostly laws for inequality, targeting every strong point a martial artist might have, demoting him to nothing more than a soldier if you want to live in a civilized world, the alternative was go live in a cave somewhere and don't bother people.
The reason for the false identity was one, I was to move from the city I resided so that Yami members wouldn't be able to find me, in other words I was now under a sort of protection program, this program would last for 1 whole year and this was unacceptable.
I had been had, now there is matter to attend to, ask Kitten if she's willing to come with me, but I know it will be a difficult decision for her, since all her friends are in this town, what if she refuses?

A man wearing a suit and glasses came to my room, he was holding a suitcase and looked quite plumpy, I could tell that he was no martial artist.
-We have created a contract here, since you are underaged, you will have to stay in hiding for 3 years before you can take on any legal obligations or military assignments, we hope you understand
-Wait I have a question, you see I have a girlfriend and she might not be willing to come with me what should I do?
-Well it's not as if she can't come visit you once or twice a year, as long as it's not too often we don't care, next matter, we have here a group of papers you have to sign, they absolve you from some laws, but at the same time apply limitations to your freedom, these were made in accordance with the martial artist laws, with these cases here...
Lots of legal terms and stuff later I was regretting not joining Yami, there I would be like a god, in this side I'm a prisoner. This is probably the difference between the two sides, of course there's another difference and that's the threatment of low and high level martial artists.
In life saving fist it's heaven for low level martial artists and hell for masters, while in Yami it's hell on earth being low level, it's a struggle for survival a jungle with no rules where the strong kill the weak, but it's a paradise for the strong. The thing however is that Medium level masters are threated comparably the same in both sides, they are but your average joe, lots in number and comparably the same when it comes to life and death ratios. The problem is how High Class Masters were threated and probably this was the main reason why Yami still exists, not everyone would want to be suppressed, they are telling you that your rights are the same as the rights of any other people, when in reality you're a walking death machine, a high Calibre martial artist can easily conquer a small nation by himself.
-So are we clear?
-On the laws and rules yes, but I wish to give you one warning, if my girlfriend dumps me because of your laws and rules, I will make the whole world regret this
-I'm not a specialist, but doesn't that depend on you yourself, whether you can keep that bond you have alive, you do know there are phones and internet and believe me the conditions made for you are much better than those of others, some even had to leave the country in order to escape Yami's assassins
-Who told you Yami wants to kill me?
-Isn't that the normal case as to why the protective program is in action?
-They want to make me their leader
-That...
The person was at a loss for words, but it kind of made sense as to why the conditions were so good, only now did he understand that he had kind of screwed up. Time however doesn't go back for anyone, but he didn't believe that a 14 years old boy could become a leader of Yami, it didn't make any sense.
The problem however wasn't the boy, but a girl, anybody knows that women are whimsical and complicated, they won't be satisfied until you gift them the moon and the sun, but even then they will begin asking for the stars in the sky as well.
"I will talk with my supperiors over this matter, please wait for a few days for a more specialized contract to be made, I hope that we will both be happy with this cooperation"
After saying these words I didn't see the man ever again in my life, not like I cared about it anyways.
I spend most of my time in my prison cell training the way Master Akisame had told me, he said it would be the most efficient training and since I had nothing better to do all I could do was train, train and more training.
The amulet was really wondrous, as it stopped the regeneration of my Ki, meaning that I could now live in a world where everything moved normaly again. Although my body could still accomodate extreme speeds and strength, but at least I could now tell when I'm overdoing it.
Days passed like hours, I spend most of the day training, sleep was the only other mean I was given. At some point I had lost track of how many days had passed, I had a bad feeling that I was forgotten, at least two weeks had passed since that man had come with the contracts, I really want to know what's taking them so long.
Without my knowledge two months had already gone by, Kitten hadn't visited me once, I had seen no person other than the two hands handing me food every so often. I have to say that the life saving fist sucks, but I did give the elder a promise to not use my Ki and without it, I'm unable to escape this prison and at the moment there is no threat to my life.
A whole year passed, I lost every major development as well as the defeat of Yami, as I was held in captivity in a location unknown to anyone involved, there were two reason for this, the first was that I was too dangerous and the second that I wasn't making a fuss about it.
In the command center of a hidden special facility, it wasn't even a prison or anything, just a facility with people walking around and seemed no different than a regular factory.
-Did you add enough tranquilizer into his food?
-Sir why do we have to increase the dosage every month?
-Because that brat becomes more and more agitated with each passing month, the experts say that he's a danger to society and the only man able to kill the brat refused to do so
-Can't we just poison him or something?
-Will you take responsibility is we fail to kill him?
-But what makes him so dangerous that we're detaining him for life?
-It's simple, we are waiting for him to break his promise, then we can ask the big guy to take him out
-Then why are we using the tranquilizers, wouldn't it be better to just let him become agitated?
-Do you wish to die?
That was the conversation of the people holding me captive, this was a plan made to mess up with my mind and I think that's the true ending to our story.

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image

My Failed Reincarnation as a Demon’s Prisoner
When Kayn opened his eyes in the empty void, he was met with a familiar voice and the knowledge that he was neither dead nor alive and about to be reincarnated. What he didn't expect was to reappear in the world of the living and immediately get captured by a clan of demons, now living as their prisoner. After a lucky encounter, Kayn stumbles upon a room that could possibly give him what he needs to free himself from their captivity. But, as he soon finds out, escaping from the demon queen herself isn't the easiest of tasks... **DISCLAIMER**This story attempts to be quite comedic (I don't know if I'm doing a great job at it) and will be more comedy heavy at the start than later on. As the situations Kayn finds himself in become more grave, the story will become serious and less comedy oriented. There will always be comedy throughout, but at some point I do plan on shifting the focus. I'd love to hear everyones opinion on whether the comedy should be kept in full, or dialed back a little so the plot can take centre stage more often. Happy reading!
