### It all start when Taka was about to walk deep into Meridien forest ###

--- Noon at Acamar Village's Chief House - Goblin Settlement ---

"Chief, have you heard the news?"

The one asking me is Karm, a goblin shaman, who can be called my assistant.

"Hmm? What is it, Karm?"

"It's about the ogre! Our scout has spotted an ogre surveying the forest."

"Hoh.. So the ogre has finally started moving to the forest. Just like what we have predicted, they are planning to increase their territory in search for food. But, since we are far from the mountain, we should be fine for now."

"How can you stay calm, Chief! We can't possibly win if they attack us!"

"Kuhaha.. Don't worry, there is practically nothing around here, they should go toward the lake first. Anyway, we already have prepared to move, right? Since we thought about this long ago."

"Well, it's true we have planned to move, but, aren't they moving to early?"

"It's fine, in the worst scenario, I will fend them off while you guys run away. They have a big body, right? Fighting in the forest will favor us."

Just while we chatting casually, suddenly Priogs, a goblin and one of our messenger, come to us.

"Excuse me, Chief! Ther- - There are - -"

"Slow down, calm yourself first."

"Serpent!! There are a group of serpent getting close to our village!"

Serpent, they are the other race who live in this forest. We have fight so many times before, but we always end up in a draw, and finally we make a rule to not breach the other territory. But, why are they coming here right now?

. . . . . Ah, it's the ogre. Their village is closer to the mountain after all, they must have been attacked by the ogre.

"Priogs, tell everyone to take a deffensive formation, we will beat them near the gate. And tell the drummer to sound the drum, we need everyone to join the fight."

"Yes, Chief!"

Then, Priogs go out and started running around the village.

"Are you sure, Chief? If they come at us seriously, we might lose."

"Don't worry, Karm. We will win, for sure. Now, let us take our position too."

--- Acamar Village's North Gate ---

"Karm, you focus on weakening them. The offensive magic you learned up to now are only area-magic, it will be bad if we got caught in it."

"Heh, I'm not so stupid that I'm willing to hurt my own race."

"Chief! The serpent is already close! There are about 30 of them!"

"Well then, let's prepare for battle!"

From the looks of my men, some of them show fear in their face. Well, it seems they come at us with their full force, but, if what I thought was true, then we should be able to win this fight easily. In this condition, I need to increase their confidence, well, the usual war cry should suffice.

"Gogobs Kii!"

It's the usual war cry we use, I remember using it since I was a goblin, I don't really now what it means, but this simple war cry always give us strength. And, just like usual, everyone start shouting after me.

"[GOGOBS KII!!]"

Right in front of us, we can clearly see the serpent right now. Just from how they look, I know that I was right, they rushing here is not because they want to take our territory nor to fight us seriously, but they are running away from the ogre.

"Follow me!!"

I walk slowly leading my men to fight the serpent. In the past, we have fought them before, their fighting style are different than us, using their claw to aim at our eyes, using their fang to aim at our neck, and the most annoying attack is when they use their tail to wrap and throw us around.

"I will strike them when they come! You guys join in once you are ready!"

"Chief! We are all born ready."

"That's right, Chief!"

In contrast to my concern, it seems they are still their usual self, prepared to fight for the tribe.

"Heh, if you guys say so. Then, let's go!"

"[Uwoooh!]"
