I am the dryad queen Bernage Flaxia Zinnia.
Leader of the weavers of the ancient forests, the greatest tamer of our kind, from the lowliest of slimes to the great Dragons of the iron mountains all monsters should bow before me, so why on this planet is this happening.
my people are burning, our thousands of slaves are unbound to us, and the fools who weren't under my control are dropping like flies by a single gigantic wyvern with a simple flick of its claws the bones of the undead kings legions are shattered and scattered damaging all the living soldiers either by impaling or sliced in half by the whirlwind generated by its claws. as the creature surveys its surroundings what's left of my royal guard calls my name the creature's body glows an ominous red then becomes a sinister violet its eyes no longer like opal shine the same shade of purple as its aura. releasing another cry unlike the last this one contaminated with the purest hatred I have ever felt in my short three thousand year life.
like a Harold of death, it descends towards me quicker than any creature should be able to, consumed by fear I bound all of those surviving to the ground using my superior might in earth magic hoping, no praying to our glorious earth goddess that it takes them alone.
alas, it sucked them into a dark space from which I fear it the abyss where none shall escape and my future home if I can't escape.
after what feels like hours I can no longer run the madness of its eye bore into me like the darkest of cursed spears feeling like there's no hope I stop and turn and shout the loudest I have ever.
''creature why do you plage me, what have I done to earn your ire'''

the titanic creature's expression turned into a sneer as it landed barely two feet from, looking closer it looks closer to a bat than any dragonkin, but no bat-like creature I know of can breath fire nor grow this large, feeling my last hope lost the beast begins to move its jaws before the whole world feels like its screaming, like the sound of a thousand vase's shattered at once I could feel the space around me become twisted and like glass space seemed fracture before being reassembled, what once where the cries are now the sounds of laughter, the like which an arrogant king would throw at a beaten beggar one of absolute superiority that I was so accustomed to that once came from my very mouth.
'' you bare the name of the creature I hate most what other reason is there to exterminate you filthy weed''
losing what little strength within my legs I collapse with a look of disbelief, to think it was my name that doomed me. as I stare at the currently wet ground from my own tears the creature begins to shrink it's from covered in flames till it blew away by a strong gust of wind, what stood before me now was the largest and strangest lizardman I have seen standing at 5 meters tall if tail included with six arms and eyes red as blood, to think the creatures my kind only just enslaved a few decades ago had a subspecies like this.
'' now, now lets not dilly dally I am a busy little devil so ill be taking you with me''
as one of its arms grab my face contorts I try to use my magic to kill my self but find I can't muster any strength as another of its arms waves that dark abyss re-appears.
using what little of my strength I begged and pleaded to be released but alas he threw me into the darkness. as I feel I could hear the last words he spoke to me replay endlessly ''see you soon'' and could only cry as I slowly fell to a dark slumber

Hello potential readers, I hope you will enjoy this story. This story focus on Alicia Berg, a young woman with big ambitions of taking virtual reality by storm. The world has developed much, so much in fact it offers people a life of complacent leisure should they want it. This option is less than ideal for our protagonist who aspire to become a virtual reality football coach. Follow her journey through a brave new world fraught with strangeness to find the purpose she craves. Note: This is a slice of life/drama/comedy kind of story. Slow pace with an emphasis on characters. Warning: Bad language (if you consider swearing bad because Alicia sure doesn’t).

8 202HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
8 429The Periplus of Hanno
Considered to be Ancient Carthage’s Odyssey, the original Periplus of Hanno was copied from a Carthaginian temple and taken back to Greece. For two thousand years, it existed only as a copy of a copy, a brief, broken story that only hinted at a larger tale… until now. Hanno, King of Carthage, has just lost his queen, and the Council of Elders threatens to take his throne. In order to preserve his dynasty, Hanno must take the Libyan citizens of over-crowded Carthage on a journey West, beyond the fabled Pillars of Hercules, and to the uncharted African continent below. There, he will encounter terrible beasts, hidden magic, and legendary titans. But the Council of Elders refuses to just let him succeed, and threatens to unite with the powerful forces of this unknown land, and halt the Periplus of Hanno.
