After selling my items at the auction house, I headed towards the Awakened HQ near the Cardinal District.

People wearing armor made of light metal came in and out of the building as if it was a cosplay centre.

"I would like to register as an awakened."

"Registration fee will be $500."

"Here."

"Certainly, it has been recieved, please follow our representative to the examination room."

Saying so, a woman came out of nowhere and lightly bowed.

"Please follow me."

She lead me towards the Examination room, it isn't really much, it has a single machine in it and it reads a person's mana.

Once the mana's been analyzed the person they will be recognized as an awakened, however if the person has not been awakened yet, then the machine will not recognize the person as an awakened.

I don't really know how it works, I only know what normal people would normally know.

Anyway, the process seemed to have progressed smoothly and nothing much happened.

"Welcome, Mr. June. This will be your identification, you are welcome to use any services that is exclusive for the use of members, you are hereby conferred the Rank [F] and thus have limited exclusive rights of use to services, ranking up means you'll be granted more previliges. Requests are posted on our servers and can be accepted at any given time online, you may also accept request directly here at the HQ. Though, you may only get your rewards directly here, thus after the request's completion, you are to report within the next 72 hours or else your rewards will be forfiet, Understood?"

"Yes"

"Also, this... your [Certification of Awakening], it doesn't really have any use though. As long as you have your identification that is enough."

"So the certificate is just..."

"Yes, it's just for formality."

"Got it, thank you."

After that I was given a pamphlet about the rules and regulations of the HQ, and then I was left on my own.

I went to the bank afterwards and opened mom's bank account and deposited $30,000 in her account.

Her face that day was really funny I can't help but laugh loudly without holding back.

"Bro..."

"Hm?"

"You're an awakened now yet, all you do is sleep all day."

"Hey, I don't just sleep all day okay! I do actual work as well!"

"Like what? Surf the net? Oogle at your sister?"

"Hey! That last one was uncalled for!"

Two days has passed since I sold the rings and registered as an awakened.

I go out at night to sell equipment and buy items that would qualify as an armor and enchant it.

I've bought about fifteen armors, each of them had been stacked with low quality enchantments and had been enhanced to half of its maximum level.

I've bought them at a dirt cheap price yet when I enchanted them their prices skyrockets! (only sold one of the said armors)

I saw the ones using my rings at the television, they were awakened and they were newcomers to boot.

They rose through Rank F to Rank E in only a few days because they helped with the monster parade.

"Anyways, Nino you've got classes starting tomorrow! Don't use the rings alright, just keep it with you at all times and only use it when necessary."

"I promise I won't use it unless it is necessary! You happy?"

"Keep an eye on Nina's as well, those things are dangerously strong enchantments after all... should I just take it and give you another?"

"What!? No!!! I won't give it up!"

Nino ran with all her might causing her to disappear in an instant. Those dash shoes are really a cheat, huh?

Because she has the bangle of wind resistance she won't feel the wind's pressure too much, should I also give Nina a wind resistance enchantment ring as well?

Nino didn't have any problem with the enchantments but Nina, I haven't seen her use the items at all.

Except for the Ring of Light and Terror Bangle, she likes it a lot.

"Haa..."

Anyway, I gave Nino enchanted items for her safety so I think they'll be fine even if something happens.

"Alright, I should go and do a request once every two days, that way I'm seen as an active member."

I bought equipments with me that had been enchanted thoroughly, and enhanced to its maximum, I even made a fake inscription within the armor, so that it'll at least look like a legit armor that's been imbued and enhanced by an imbuer and a blacksmith. If an imbuer were to see it for themselves they'll be able to see through it immediately though, as my knowledge of inscription only came from a simple google search.

"This shouldn't attract much attention."
