Andrew shook his head as he looked at the pile in front of him after everyone had gatherd up they had split off in to groups to do a head count and to check what they all had in their bags. There were five hundred people gatherd and each of them had joined one of fifty, ten man groups it wasn't well organized but they had managed to pool their resources together. All together they had managed to scrounge up a disturbingly high pile of knives, a disturbingly small pile of canned and preserved foods, a bunch of matches and lighters, a lot of rope, books about a ton of subjects, water bottles, medical supplies, finaly the pièce de résistance, and the pile he was currently looking. He could only laugh bitterly 'WHO NEEDS THIS MUCH DUCT TAPE!' venting his fustration were no one could hear it Andrew considerd their supplies and he wasn't the only one.
"We probobly only have enough to last us a few days at most" Jace said breaking Andrew from his thoughts "Right, if we break down our problems and needs right now it comes down to the three basic necessities food, shelter, and water" Don another of Andrews friends and guild mates spoke up as a small group of the fifty "Team" leaders nodded with his statement. "Ok so our plan for right now is to find running water right? a river or large stream would do" Lee said. The other noded again at Lees words everyone knew that were there was water food could also be found "Lee's right if we find water we have a good chance of finding fish and fruits and we could also find usefull materials like clay then we could make things like primitive bricks and shingles so with some luck we should be good on shellter as well" Chris added with his customary chessy grin if Andrew had to guess he would say Chris was pretty excited about their current predicament but when he considerd Chris was one of the ones that gave in to the whole apocalypse survival craze it made sense. As for Lee well Lee was Lee he frowned at Chris for using his hated nickname his realy name was Stanly but since he was asin instead of the normal nickname of Stan he got the nickname Lee for what it was worth he didn't realy care what his nickname was he just didn't like having one.

"Well I hate to play devil's advocate here but before we go galivanting through the forest we should consider the fact that we don't know if anything here is eddible for us" Andrews words sent a sour note through an other wise lively discussion "We have a week we should take things slow, first off if were going in to the forest we should come up with a plan so we don't get lost, fist we'll need a group to stay behind to watch out for our stuff it won't do to have some animle come and eat our stuff while were exploring" Andrew started talking more rapidly the others quieted down to listen they all knew Andrew and knew he liked to think and consider things before speaking and when he did he would go in to detail about whatever he was talking about this made him a pretty good stratigest but a terrible talker and leader. Undisturbed by the attention he was getting Andrew continued "We'll leave twenty teams behind and have thirty teams go out in to the forest each team will have a mark or sign we'll use the alphabet and numbers to make groups so well have groups A 1-10, groups B1-10, and group C1-10 if we use the knives and the duct tape we should be able to mark our paths it would help us avoid getting lost and walking in circles, and everyone should make some kind of spear or something we don't know what kind of predators are out there so better safe than sorry." As Andrew finished up his part of the discussion the other picked right back up no one hated his idea but they did add details to it planing out diffrent areas each group would explore and giving diffrent teams diffrent things to look for. Some would forage looking for materials or plants that could be tested others were suppoesd to look for animal tracks and other were just suposed to patrol looking for teams that might be lost, hurt, or otherwise in trouble after everything was done and they were getting ready to head off, one of the team leaders spoke up.

"Hey... uh are we gona tell the others what were doing they might like to know?"
'Others?' everyone turned to were the speaker was pointing and indeed there was another group. People could recognize them as others from their school they also had a group that was about the same size as their own. Andrew felt a sudden push on his back "Ok go tell them what were doing and ask if they'll help" Jace said as he pushed Andrew forward "What why me you know I suck at this stuff" Andrews objections fell on deaf ears "yeah we know but we have to distribute what supplies were going to bring and you arn't realy need for that" Don said with a slight smirk "Yeah i've seen your desk you suck at organizing so you'd be pretty usless here" Chris said obviously enjoying a chance to rib him "Try not to embarrass yourself to much" Lee said dismissively. Turning back to face the other group Andrew couldn't help but mutter under his breath "Well fuck my life."
