《Beauty Perspective》Chapter 6

A couple hours later, the dwarves got down everything they wanted. Since it mostly has to be custom made, they had their measurements taken and tried a few things on. To get a feel for what they needed. Apparently, when you buy from a dwarf, they want to make sure it fits the individual the way they need it. Especially when you intend to go in dungeons. Nolan even realized he was over estimating what it was going to cost, by a lot. He made sure they got a couple casual outfits, can't always be in armor.
They sold Lina's armor for scrap, since it was so dented and rusted. Trashed Celine's outfit, it was cheap with lots of holes. Lina's new equipment cost the most. A shield that she felt more comfortable using. A big ax, two small axes, two spears, a mace, dagger and a sword. And what she called boar armor, which they would need to wait to be made. That cost about nine hundred gold. Apparently, boar demi humans are known for being great warriors, both men and women. Their armor is made for slashing, bashing and comfort in hot and cold climates. So it should be worth it.
Celine was getting a cloth and leather outfit, meant for a rogue. It was going to be form fitting. She got a pouch belt to hold a few things like smoke bombs, caltrops and poisons. Plus the antidotes to said poisons.
She even got a bow with a large number of arrows. Then she was shown a trench coat. It would hide her body and stuff. Don't want people to know what she's got, especially her body. It even had a hood. It was a must for her. She felt more comfortable being able to hide her face. She got a bunch of throwing daggers, several kinds. Apparently, a proper throwing dagger, depended on the target. Like a suit of armor, you want to aim for the eyes or joints. The goal is hitting with accuracy. But, if the target was unarmored, then you want some weight behind it, to do some decent damage.

She also ended up getting another set of leather armor, that was less form fitting and more long term comfort. Her stuff all cost seven hundred gold.
Nolan decided on two sets of a leather metal mix, not custom since he's been a berserker so far. No need to waste money on something he's going to tear up. A big ax, two small axes, a mace, ten spears, a short sword, three daggers and three hunting knives. He even got three fire starter kits, one for each of them.
While discussing stuff with Celine, he discovered a few things. Even though their rings don't completely stop time, keeping things as fresh as they were put in, the gold was somewhat the same. Thirty days outside equaled one day inside. Copper and silver did not have this effect.
Nolan then noticed something. A nice and enjoyable smell. He quickly discovered it coming from Celine. "Celine, you smell really nice. Are you wearing something?"
"Y-yes master, I got it from one of the women. Do you like it?" She asked nervously.
He then leaned close to her to get a strong whiff of it. "Yes. It smells very nice." She smiled at his comment. "We need to talk, while Lina discusses with the dwarves what she wants."
"Did I do something wrong master?" Celine looked scared now.
"No, you didn't do anything wrong. I just want to make sure things are clear. You understand that I intend to continue being with Lina, if she's wants to, right?"
"Yes."
"I know you've already expressed interest in helping with my urges as well, but is that what you want or what you think you should do?"
She paused to think for a moment, before speaking. "Master, you have been the kindest person I have met. You treated me like another person, instead of a slave, or even a demi human. You even trusted me after I told you that I was trying to use you. I realize that I've become attached to you, partly because I was desperate for the kindness and attention you gave me. But I don't want to be with you, because I think I owe you or because I'm your slave. I want to be with you, because it's what I want. I understand that you will likely find more female slaves, but I want to be by your side anyway. Will you accept me, master?"

Nolan smiled to her statement. 'Their both definitely worth it.' He leaned closer to her, with his hand on her cheek, and kissed her lips. "Of course."
She was stunned and blushed a little from the sudden kiss. She then held his arm to her chest and laid her head on his shoulder, while smiling. "Thank you, master."
Nolan closed his eyes, enjoying the moment. Suddenly, he felt something soft on his other arm. He looked to see it was Lina.
"If you are both done for today, we should go to the Howling Tavern. I haven't eaten anything decent in months." Nolan felt like he was in paradise.
"Yes, master. They said it would take two days to finish the custom work." The look in Lina's eyes were hungry.
"Then let's go." 'The sooner we get to the tavern, the sooner we can get a room. 'Wait.' Nolan froze, and the girls were confused. "Celine, can a human get a demi human pregnant?"
"Yes, it's only more difficult than with another of the same race. Demi humans can't get demi humans of a different race pregnant, but humans can get any demi human pregnant." She smiled, proud to be her master's source of information. "Also, if a human gets a demi human pregnant or vice versa, the baby will always be demi human."
'Shit. I didn't think about that, till now. We just spent most of our money on equipment. I'm not ready to be a father yet.' Nolan then pulled his arms free of the women. "I need to ask Sven something real quick. I'll be right back." He then quickly went to find the dwarven enchanter, almost running.
The girls were confused, until they started to talk. Celine and Lina started to panic. It was obvious to them that their master wanted nothing to do with children. When Lina and Nolan had that night together, there were no precautions taken. There was a small chance that Lina might be pregnant. It had only been a few days, so they didn't know yet. Lina started to cry.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.

I hope you enjoy reading my book as I enjoy writing it! It’s a side project of mine and I can currently only write in my free time, which is not a lot unfortunately. I do not know how many chapters a week I will be able to produce, however, the word count will be around 6000-7000 per week. If you like the story you can support me on patreon and read chapters ahead of current release. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: The story might not be for the faint hearted or for those seeking an over-powerd plot guarded golden cow of a mc. The story will start out slowly and will pick up a bit of pace later on on, however, the character/s will walk a long and full of despair road. No sugar-coating in this story. Another thing to have in mind is that I currently do not have a proofreader nor an editor, so some mistakes might slip through my fingers, if you notice any such, please do leave a comment so I can fix them for future readers. Do please enjoy the story and feel free to leave reviews and or comments, I am usually pretty open and would love to answer some of your questions!
