---Lyle POV---
I'm currently having breakfast with grandfather. Cecilica is not here with us because she's still asleep.
The topic of our conversation is something that surprise me quite a lot.
“What!? Father, and brother have run away?”
“I'm afraid so Lyle, but not to worry in stead of your father I will be the one to take care of you, and Cecilica.”
“That.. Thank you grandfather. But can you tell me the reason why they have run away?”
“Well that's..” He stopped for a second and continue speaking he next moment.
“It's because the kingdom has order the execution of your brother.”
“Execution? For my brother? Why? Why did the kingdom order this!?” I slammed the table as I shout.
Grandfather kept silent, he kept silent until a minute has passed. When he open his mouth, and said
“Because he's a monster, that's why.”
“Monster”, that's the word that grandpa said from his mouth. Monster.. I lost myself in rage the moment I heard that, and punch throw a knife at grandfather.
He dodge it easily. I snap back, after i look what I've done my rage quickly reside.
“Forgive me, grandfather.”i quickly bow slightly as I said that.
I don't know what came to me. Why did I suddenly got furious when I heard that? Is it because my own grandfather is calling my brother a monster?
“No, it's alright. That aside I bet you wish to know why I called him that right?”
“Well that's.. Yes. Why did grandfather, call him that?”
“That's because he really is one. As much as I hate to say it, from all of the people I've met without a doubt he's the monstrous of them all.”
How can he say that so easily? Does he not think Allen as a human, and part of the family anymore?

“I know what you're thinking but it's not like I don't treat him as a family anymore. In fact I still treasure him, like your mom, and the rest of you.”
“I see.. So grandfather, why did the kingdom order the execution for Allen?”
“I don't know the real reason, but I think it had to do what happened at the party.”
“At the party? You mean when the black men suddenly appear.”
“Yes, I suppose the other nobles demand his execution because they're terrified at him so they want to make sure he's dead before anything hapoens.”
“Terrified? Why? He only kill them to protect them. So why did they demand him to be executed? “
“Not sure if you're going to understand what I mean but, imagine that everyone near you was killed by some men, and then a boy came in and kill them like they were ants without showing any mercy, nor any regrets.”
Imagining those things as reality.. I can see why that grandfather called him a monster, and why the nobles demand to execute him.
“For a boy to kill that many with ease would be terrifying, but that doesn't mean-”
“Before we discuss this any further, tell me honestly. What do you think of Allen when he kill those guys?”
Recalling the day of the party. When Allen kill all of those men, when he showed no mercy to them, when he was covered in blood, and approach me what I felt was..
.. Fear. Fear that he would kill me like he did to them, fear that he will become my enemy, fear that he will kill everyone I love.. Something that i haven’t felt before
“It seems that you have your answer. So what is it?”

“I felt… fear. Fear like I was facing a monster..”
“See? Then it's only natural that those nobles want to kill that monster right? “
“Right..”
He's right, it's only natural that people want to kill something that threaten them, a monster.
“Now,now you don't need to think about that. He's fine as long as your father is with him. Beside, if he did get caught, and are about to be executed we can always charge in, and stop it now can't we?”
“Yes, You're right. If he ever find himself in need of a help, then I'll help him even if it's dangerous. “
“That's the spirit, now then how about you help me on these documents? There's so much of them, that it makes me nausea just seeing it “
So this is his true intention huh? To help him, I can see why mom told me not to talk to grandfather so much. Oh well, no matter.
“Yes, grandfather.”
“Really? Great! I'll treat you something nice later.”
We finished eating, left the dining room, and head to grandpa's studies to help him finish all of those documents he told me about.

The novel is divided in two parts, the first focusing on uncovering the well-hidden secrets the city of Arkanoth hides, be it concerning its making or its inhabitants. As for the second part, it will be an expedition into the unknown, we could, in a way, say the true start of the journey our three heroes will undertake! I won't say anything more about the second part or else I might tell you an important detail without realizing... As for magic, because yes, there is magic! Although you might not see the shadow of a spell in the first chapters, it will appear in later chapters and will be one of the main subjects of volume 2. There are three heroes, yes, but they will not appear directly. While the first two protagonists appear in quite the beginning, the third will take his time, taking some stroll in the Districts of Arkanoth while we focus on the story of the hunter. But that does not lessen his importance in the story a bit, trust me. What about these three heroes, you say? Well, they all have their own issues, from their character to their torments, and as the story progresses they will have to come clean with their past (character development is to be expected) and will find their reason for fighting, braving all odds. I draw my inspiration from mythology, more precisely Aztec mythology. I want to stay true to a certain extent about it and all the relations between the gods and their role, however I will still change some things to my liking, so do not expect for all of the mythology to be respected to the letter. Finally! I have to say English is a foreign langage for me, so I might not choose the best words or straight-up miswrite something, if it bothers your experience, just tell me in the comments and I'll look into it! It is also my first time writing a book, so some parts might seem sloppy, but I hope I will be able to improve throughout this journey so as to give the most enjoyable reading experience to you. // Who might enjoy this story: Firstly, if you like deep lore and stories in which past plays a big role, you will like how everything unravels to show the hidden truths of the world. However if you do not appreciate not instantly understanding what's happening or who - or even what - this person might be, then you might not appreciate the story. There will be disturbing and gore descriptions, so if you're sensitive, don't like reading about someone being beheaded and such, you should probably pass this one. There is strong langage, although I won't abuse it, I won't be lying saying no insults will appear. Finally, the heroes will not always win, they will sometime lose battles, be it important ones or unimportant, and they will, most of the time, not come out unscathed from those. // Time Schedule : once every two sundays at 7:pm Ps : feel free to tell me if something is bad, or feel wrong with the book, it really helps me. I've written till' chapter 4 (in my mother tongue, so I'll still have to translate), however I'll make some minor and major changes, thus it will take some time to post them.
