《The Strongest Hero VS The Weakest World?》Chapter 12 - Weird Parents

"The young master spoked!?" (Everyone)
All of the staff near me begin yelling and exclaiming after hearing me speak for the first time. This is to be expected. I mean, 11-month olds are unable to speak as well as I did. Really, all they can say is 'dada' or 'momma.'
Now, you may be wondering why I decided to start speaking now instead of in the past. Well, it's honesty just a pain. I was planning to do what children my age but I got bored of that garbage. I mean, crawling around is so inefficient and somewhat gross. Also, speaking helps me communicate with others a lot easier than not speaking at all.
Anyway, the entire staff begins freaking out. Some of them are holding their heads, trying to come up with rational answers to why I can talk, while others are cursing at me, saying that I'm a cursed child or something.
Then, the doors to my father's office, which is across the room, slam open. With the doors open, a figure is revealed, my father...
"What in the world is with all of this commotion?! Didn't I give an order to find my son! Now stop this farse and start..."
In the middle of his sentence, he spots me in the crowd of all of the staff. All of his anger vanishes, and he rushes towards me. He then begins to hug me while shedding tears.
"Son! Thank the Gods that you were found!"
Geez, I guess I worried my father too much. That said, he did give me his permission before I left.
Feeling sorry, I relax my appearance and put on puppy eyes. I also start crying, but only a little.
"I-I'm sorry, dad! Please forgive my actions. I didn't realize the consequences would be so harsh. That being so, you were the one which permitted me, so I didn't leave without notifying anyone. You even said that I don't require any permissions since I was a man."
"..."
My father stops crying and backs away while looking at me with his head cocked.
As I read his mind, it seems that his surprise is about to arrive. I wonder how he will act due to me talking?
"H... H... Honey! Get in here quickly! Our son, Yemon, has called me Dad!"
Huh?! That's your reaction?! I called you daddy before but I didn't get this reaction before!
The kitchen door bangs open from downstairs, and a figure starts zooming up the stairs. It was my mom, who is somewhat sweating from running this far.
"Is what you say true?!"
"Yes, but not once... But twice!"
"What?! No fair! Yemon, please call my name!"
"Uh... Hello, Mom! I, I love you.
I try acting like a shy, care-loving child. I take a peek at my mother's face after I say this. Everything on her face stopped moving. Then, out of nowhere, she takes me away from my father and begins clinging to me.

"Ah! Ah! Aha! Did you hear that! Beat that! He said he loves me!"
"Hey! That's unfair! He didn't say that to me..."
To help my dejected father, I say similar words to him.
"Again, I'm sorry, dad... I love you too, though!
Father begins screaming like people who are watching an idol and clings to me with mother. Their affection is so showy that it feels like you can physically see it coming off of us.
Geez, I thought they were dumb and clueless, but this is somewhat worst. Well, I guess this is for the better. I mean, they're not going to dissect me or anything, so everything worked out...
Well, almost everything...
"Dukes, I object to your clueless's! Can you not see that the boy was standing on his two front legs AND spoke words that an 11-month old wouldn't be able to say. Please, on the Gods' behalf, explain how these things are possible?!" (Bodyguard 1)
"He's right! a demon! That must possess the boy, or he himself is one!" (Bodyguard 2)
Both of my parents stop and stare at one another and then at me. Their eyes widen with surprise.
"Y-your right..." (Father)
"How c-could we miss such a thing..." (Mother)
"Great, you both understand..." (Bodyguard 1) "Mhmm." (Bodyguard 2)
"YEMON CAN WALK! THIS MUST BE A BLESSING OF THE GODS!" (Father & Mother)
"Wha!?" (Bodyguard 1 & 2)
Both of my parents begin clinging to me even harder while shouting their excitement.
"We shall host a feast for these two milestones!" (Father)
"Yes, I agree. With this, it proves that Yemon is going to live a good life with many successes!"
"I couldn't agree with you more! You! Go inform the chefs immediately."
Father begins shouting instructions to the maids around us. They all stopped their foolishness and got back to work. It seems my parents influence the maids and butlers, so they stopped acting surprised. That said, the guards are still worried and began shouting their frustrations.
"Sir, with all due respect, I must inform you that a demon possesses this child! We must eliminate him as fast..."
A dark aura begins releasing from my father's body. All that is around, except for my mother and me, are on their knees.
"What was that? I thought that I overheard someone who was going to harm my son."
"Ack! No, I think you misheard!"
The aura vanishes instantly.
"Good. Now, let us prepare!" (Father)
"Yes!" (Mother)
In their happy attitudes, they both leave the area, preparing for tonight's feast. This, of course, left me with the guards who dislike me. The main guard stares at me. I do the same. Our staring contest lasted 20 seconds. Afterward, he gets up off the ground and unsheaths his sword.
"Y-you, Demon! You must be controlling the dukes with some demonic powers. To save them, I must kill the root cause!"

The guard then charges at me alone. He swings his sword downward. That said, I do nothing. It felt that he was moving in slow motion. Also, as soon as he unsheaths his sword, my father noticed instantly.
Within seconds, he returned to the room and held a sword over the guard's neck.
"I think we should have a little chat before the celebration... How about you follow me to my office. Yemon, I'll get a maid to take care of you until the food is ready. Please stay in your room for now."
I nod to the man as I watch him escort the guard to his office. On the guard's face, true terror could be seen. The other guards saluted to Father while also taking pity on their fellow guardsmen.
Hehe, I guess that'll happen if the owners or masters are world-renowned heroes and one of the strongest in the world...
It's true that the people of this world are weak, but my parents seem to be on the stronger side. I mean, I peeked at their statuses when I came into this world. To me, their statuses were so weak, but I could flick them to death, but comparing theirs with the people in this world, they are hella strong.

These are the abnormal statuses that I have seen or heard of throughout the world. When I went on my travels, I noticed that these two names pop up many times. Not as Dukes, but as adventurers.
Out of them all, these two stand within the top ten. For Reo, he's known as the most powerful swordsman. That said, he only stands within the 5th strongest in the world while Itsumi is ranked at the 6th strongest and known as the world's greatest healer.
As you saw, they both exceed level 100. This reason is due to them having [Demonic Blood], which is the same thing that causes the monsters to exceed level 100. By the way, most of the citizens of this world have Demonic Blood. I don't know how they got it, but it seems that most, if not all, beings have this blood, allowing them to go beyond normal levels. For regular citizens, however, will never be able to use their blood due to their weakness.
Also, you may have noticed their [Hero] statuses. During my training, I learned that some worlds contain their own heroes that are created at birth. They can't summon heroes, but a new batch of heroes are born every certain amount of years.
Typically, five heroes can be born: Sword Hero, Healing Hero, Magic Hero, Tool Hero, Intelligent Hero. These heroes have more power than typical citizens, which means they get a little boost to their power. That said, they differ from the God's heroes by a lot. I mean, if this world was a normal one, the level cap of 100 still applies to them.
Anyway, these two are strong. I'm guessing that their heroism and strength gained them the noble rank of Duke.
I bowed to the guards and returned to my room. I started acting like one at my age and waited for someone to come and get me. When they did, I was brought to the dining hall and had a feast for my ability to talk and walk. After the feast, my father declared that I'd walk and normally talk (Within the level they believe I'm at). Although I'm happy about this, there is some sadness for not being carried around anymore.
Under the Duke's mansion, there exists a dungeon for noble criminals. So far, no criminals were being held inside until today...
"Wha?! But Sir! You are being misled! That child is a demon. He needs to be..."
Lord Reo kicked his guard in the face, backing him into a cell. The reason for doing so is obvious. It's heresy to attempt to kill any member of the Duke's family, no matter the reason unless the king instructed so.
That said, Reo is giving the guard mercy. This type of behavior should result in death, but Reo is giving the man a chance for redemption, something that is rare nowadays.
There is another reason, though. Reo noticed something different about the guard. Something within him that might be controlling him. For this reason, he decided to get help from an outside perspective. They might need the guard, so that's the main reason he didn't kill him. If they can fix the cause, then redemption can occur. If not, death will befall the man.
After seeing that the culprit is chained up within his cell, Reo leaves the dungeon, assigning four guards, two inside two outside, to guard the man.
During all of this, Yemon, who was thought to be asleep, listened and watched everything that occurred.
"Man, what a pain."
It was true that the Gods told me not to do anything for a while, but in this case, I might have no other chance but to take action.
I watched and listened to everything, including the culprit and the controller's thoughts. Well, controller might not be the right word.
I mean, he has already been fully possessed...

Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
