《Arden's place》Chapter 33

“We are looking for information about a caravan that stayed here about 2 months ago?”
Innkeeper Gordon looked at the man in front of him and continued wiping his glasses.
“You and everyone else in this inn are looking for them?” he said and smiled.
Gordon had spent the past few weeks quite happily.
The winter months were difficult for those who were innkeepers in Petra. When adventurers wandering from city to city became the main source of income for innkeepers, things slowed down because adventurers chose to rest during the winter.
But this winter was a little different, at least for the innkeepers in Petra. Almost all inns were filled to the brim due to a rumor.
Marko took 2 gold coins from his enchanted pouch and shoved them on the bar counter towards Gordon.
“Do you remember anything?” he asked.
Gordon glanced at the man in his 30s in front of him, then at his teammates at the table behind him, who was listening to the two of them talk.
"You're not bad people, are you?" he said, eyeing Marko.
Marko smiled, realizing he had caught something, and leaned over and spoke to the innkeeper in the most respectful tone.
“Actually, we are Gem-level adventurers. You can rest assured that we are not dealing with any ill-gotten business.” said
Gordon froze at the answer he got. Gem level. in Petra. He hadn't taken the rumors seriously before. Every few years, a madman would throw a piece of information saying he had found the lost shrines. But if gem levels were involved, it could be real.
It took Gordon a while to recover from the shock, but he finally succeeded. Not wanting others to hear what he had to say, he leaned forward and spoke in a low voice.

“They only stayed one night so I don't know much about it, but there were two people who left the caravan and stayed in petra. Maybe they know something.”
After listening carefully to what the innkeeper had to say, Marko asked.
“And where can we find these friends?”
“As one of them was an adventurer, I do not know the exact location, but the other opened an inn by the lake to the east of Petra. Crazy boy huh, Ah well you can find him there anyway. Also, I doubt you can find a place to stay in Petra, you might consider staying at his inn while you're at it.” said
"OK, thanks."
Marko returned to his teammates with the clue he found.
“So, did you find anything?” ' Chai asked.
"I guess we'll just have to take a little walk?" said Marko
—--------------
Chai and his team had left the eastern gate of the Petra and started walking towards this lakeside inn.
“Hey, what is this road? Who makes such a good road in the middle of nowhere?" said Ashley.
“It looks like it was made by magic,” said Donna.
“It felt that way to me too,” said John. The two wizards of the team examined the path they walked.
Just as he was talking about this, a horse carriage appeared ahead. After waiting by the roadside for the carriage to pass, they continued their journey.
Not long after, they arrived at the aforementioned inn.
The inn was a two-story building. A water tank was visible at the back of the building. It was easy to see from the condition of the walls that they had just been built. Above the entrance door was a sign saying 'Arden's Place'.
“At least we got the name of the person to talk to,” said Marko.

They pushed the door and entered the inn. The warm air of the inn's lobby hit their faces. The lobby was empty except for one table.
They sat at a table by the fireplace.
Not long after, a young girl came to take care of the table.
“Are you going to stay or just want to eat? How can I help you?" she asked.
“As a matter of fact… Wouldn't it be nice to have a meal first? What's you got?" she said
“We have two new recipe dishes if you want my recommendation. I can recommend both.”
“Oh, it's been a while since I tried something new?” said Donna.
They could talk about the clue after dinner. The team's interest turned to the new recipes the waitress was talking about.
“What kind of food are these?” Edgar.
“Pizza and hamburger Pizza is made of tomato and cheese…”
Chai froze when he heard the names of their dishes. Those names were things she hadn't heard for a long time, He suddenly felt like he was sitting in a restaurant in New York.
“Who invented these dishes?” he asked. His hands were sweaty with excitement.
“Oh, Mr. Arden. He said it was quite popular dishes in his hometown?”
"Can we talk to him?" said Chai.
“T. Okay,” she said and walked away from the table to Arden, who was sitting alone in the lobby.
"What's going on Chai?" ' Marko asked.
The team members were watching Chai with curious eyes. He was starting to behave strangely.
"Just wait."
Arden stood up when Emily told Arden they wanted to talk to him. He was considering Vessi's offer, but customers came first.
She started walking slowly towards the table where the six people were sitting.
“How can I help you?” he said when he came to the table.
Chai studied the man standing in front of him. He looked like he was in his early 20s.
“The waiter said the food came from your hometown, right?”
Arden tried to understand where the man in front of him was trying to get. But not knowing where the conversation was going, he decided to answer the question.
"Yes,"
“Did America win the war at all?”,
“War?…” Arden's eyes widened as he realized what this man's question meant. He knew America.
"Who are you?" ' he said involuntarily, taking a few steps back.
Chai stood up, holding out his hand to Arden, who was watching him, frightened and curious.
“I think we come from the same place.” said.

The Devil's Bride
"I am not sleepy so why don't we tell each other a story?" Her voice was low and raspy and fuck, I'd been lying if I say I wasn't turned the fuck on. "Like what?" I ask swallowing my pride and probably my sense of direction. Her skin was on top of mine, in contact, burning. "I don't know." She says taking her time to adjust herself on my lap. I had to grip the chair for support feeling all my breath vanish from my lungs. "Maybe a short bio about yourself." She advocates placing one of her hands on my chest. I feel the contact through my shirt, my eyes trained on every movement of hers. The worst of it all was that she is unaware of what she was doing to me. "Uh-" I feel my words shorten. On impulse, I grab her by her waist for support instead. Leaning back painfully on the single chair. "You're so cute when you're confused!" She giggles going ahead to move slightly on my lap. I blow out a groan feeling my erection harden.
