《Arden's place》Chapter 32

Arden straightened up after shaping the last bricks of the road. He wiped his sweat with his hand and took a deep breath. He was in front of the eastern gate of Petra.
The road construction was finally finished. The construction, which took a total of 3 weeks, offered Arden an incredible practice and learning opportunity for controlling mana. In fact, this improvement had become visible in the last week in construction. Because he had done about a kilometer long road on last week, half of the total. If Arden started construction again with his current abilities, it would probably take less than 2 weeks to finish. Of course, the levels and Skills he gained took up an important part in this speed increase.
Seeing the gate guards watching him, he recognized familiar faces and raised his hand and greet them. These guards came to his inn from time to time for his meals and beer.
The inn was quiet as the white lions and Matt's team left for the missions. The white lions had left the inn after accepting the mission to capture the camps and leaders of the bandits who had kidnapped Emily and Roberth.
Matt and the others were on a mission to hunt down the packs of wolves that had descended on the surrounding villages due to the winter.
But inn didn't look like it would stay silent for long. Although Arden lived outside the City, he was not completely unaware of the rumors spreading in the city.
The rumor about the lost temples had already spread all over Askarta, the inns in Petra were slowly filling up. Arden was sure that adventurers who couldn't find a place in the inns in petra in a few weeks would flock to his inn.
Just as he was about to turn around and start walking back to the inn, he heard the sound of a carriage. When he turned around, he realized that he was coming toward him and stepped aside. But instead of going past, the carriage stopped right in front of him.

Through the carriage window, he saw a middle-aged elf sitting inside. Even though he couldn't see all of his clothes, they were quite luxurious. In addition, it was obvious that the horse carriage was made of expensive wood, This Elf poked its head into the carriage window and spoke to Arden.
“I suppose you are Mr. Arden?”
"Do we know each other?" ' Arden asked. He couldn't remember meeting this elf before.
“Not face to face, but my Son Zeke has talked a lot about you. I'm Vessi -Zeke's father."
“Oh, nice to meet you. What are you looking for here?”
“Actually, I was going to come to your inn to meet you, and I was hoping to check the construction of the road. But I see that the road is already over"
"You're just in time, I finished the last brick a few minutes ago."
“ Would you like to go to your famous inn together then? I look forward to trying the dishes. According to Zeke, the best food in Petra is at your inn.” He said And opened the carriage door.
“Of course, I hope I don't let Zeke down,” he said and got into the open door of the carriage.
After Arden got in his carriage, the carriage began to move. Although there has been no heavy snow for the last few weeks, there were still puddles of snow on the side of the roads and in the surrounding fields.
The ride by horse-drawn carriage had been quick and comfortable. When the carriage stopped in front of the inn door, Arden and Vessi got out of the carriage and made their way to the inn's door.
Arden opened the door and invited Vessi in, found a table for him to sit at, then headed towards the kitchen. Halfway through the lobby, he saw Emily leaning against the serving counter that connects the kitchen to the lobby, chatting with Dora.

Emily gathered herself when she saw Arden approaching them. Then she saw the elf sitting in the lobby.
“Mr. Arden, When did you come? Are you finished your job?" he asked.
“Yes, the road is completely over. Dora, can you prepare a pizza and a hamburger and french fries?” ' Arden asked Dora in the kitchen.
"Sure, right away," said Dora.
"Can you take it to the table when it's ready, Emily," he said, nodding at Vessi.
Emily nodded.
Just as Arden was about to leave to pour Vessi a beer, he remembered that he hadn't eaten since morning. This realization made his stomach growl.
“Dora, made it two hamburgers.” said
After hearing Dora's approving voice, he went to the bar section of the inn, poured 2 glasses of beer, and headed towards the table where Vess was sitting.
While Vessi was examining the inn, Arden came up to him with two glasses of beer in his hand.
“I hope you enjoy my own brewed beer.” ' Arden said after placing one of his glasses on the table.
“Mr. Arden, will you join me for a moment?” said Vessi.
Arden was a little taken aback when he heard this request. But he complied and sat across from Vessi.
Vessi took a piece of paper from his magic pouch and held it out.
Arden picked up the paper, a 3-gold guild bank check, and looked at Vess.
“Part of the reason I wanted to come to the inn and talk to you was to give you the money for the road. But my main goal is that we need this talent in some streets of Petra, if it is suitable for you, we want to leave some streets of Petra in your hands.”
"Oh, I wasn't expecting that?" said Ardan.
After some thought, he began to speak.
"I'm sorry to say that right now is not the right time. The idea of shaping the soil has given me a lot of new ideas popping up in my mind. I was thinking of working on some of these."
"Oh, I see, but there's no rush to do this anyway, it's better if you start after winter has passed," said Vessi.
Arden was about to answer when Emily came in with a large tray and began serving the food to the table.
As their conversation entered the lunch break, they both focused on the meal in front of them.
Dora did a great job as usual. The pizza edges looked crispy and crunchy. Potato chips and burgers had vibrant colors.
After Arden gave Vessi a brief introduction to the way they were eaten, they began to eat the food.
Vessi's eyes widened when he took the first bite of pizza.
"I suppose Zeke wasn't exaggerating what he said about the food?" he said and smiled.
After the meals were finished, Vessi stood up to leave the inn.
“Offer valid until spring Mr. Arden, you can think through it? Also, can you tell Zeke to stop by the house when he gets back from the mission? After he started his career as an adventurer, he started visiting the house very scarcely.” said and smiled.
Arden led Vessi to the door. He returned to the lobby of the inn as Vessi got in his Carriage and started heading towards Petra. Sitting at the table and sipping the rest of the beer, he began to think about Vessi's offer.
Just then, the door of the inn opened and six strangers entered.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons.
