《The Blood Mage》1 - When a frog flies (Almost Useless Chapter!)

First of all, this chapter doesn't relate to the later fiction at all. It's like a pilot episode really, where it gives the main idea about what the fiction is about. You are totally fine if you didn't read this. Also, the quality sucks. Adios~!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm hmm hmmm, hm, hmm hmm hmm.
Ah, you've must been wondering what song is this? Well, I forgot about the name, but it's about a mother banished from her home with her baby child. The song was about her lullaby. Telling her son about the hardships of the world, to always be strong, to never cry and whatnot.
It was such a sad song. I cried the first time I heard it. In fact, I can hear it right now, playing it's tune. Oh god Im tearing up.
Well, lets assess the situation, you see, I died recently. It's because I drowned, well, not purposely, some people had a slight grudge on me. But the world can be cruel sometimes, so I'll just let it slide
*sniff*, ah, the song isnt stopping. I wish I had a mother like that. Lets have a bit backstory, shall we?
My mother wasnt lucky in her office work. She had this, revering beauty that would catch any man's gaze. Several men couldnt take it, and at one night, they ganged up on her. She conceived me that night. After that, they blackmailed her to stay shut. My mother complied, but her sanity got, blurry? Yes, a bit blurry. She brought me with her to another country. And we lived happily ever after.
Haha, actually, no
As her mind was a bit broke, when she got back home after her new job, she would sometimes imagine me as one of those men, and injured me. It wasnt frequent, but it wasnt seldom. I stayed with her though, I felt somehow responsible for her. Like it was my duty to heal her.

Isnt the song going to stop? *sniff*
At school it wasnt any better. As I disliked the people who forced themselves upon others, I stood up against bullies, naturally, I had no one to aid me, but that was fine. I got better at fighting after a couple of years. Eventually, no bullies were present. Or, they were just good at hiding. When it was time for my graduation, they sized up against me, brought me to a nearby river, took turns in beating me into an unrecognizable pulp, and pushed me into the river. Since I couldnt feel my arms to struggle, I let the cold embrace of Death comfort me.
I felt no attachment towards the world by then, as my causes towards my mother lessened day by day. It was partly her fault, partly, if she stopped hitting me everyday after work, perhaps I would still love her. But now, its just annoyance.
And that was the end of my life.
I know my backstory was a tad short, but I cant remember much, as it wasnt a pleasant experience.
And now we're here. In a pitch black space, kinda reminds me of some light novels where the protagonist got reincarnated into a baby, or the other web fiction where a powerful divine being reincarnated the protagonist to become it's champion and whatnot.
I dont see any light, so perhaps this is life after death. If so, this is boring. Ah wait, the song stopped playing. I want another tune.
*tune plays*
Nice. It's a sad tune, but its slightly happier than the previous.
-Time Skip-
Dont know how many years have gone by, but Im still the same, stuck at 18. Its nice here, you could practice swimming, singing, dancing, walking, runnning, pretty much anything. I can feel my body, which is comforting.

Various songs played in my head, I didnt turned insane because of that.
-Time Skip?-
I would probably have a beard by now, but it seems Im unaging here. I want a beard to stroke, it makes me feel.....wise.
-Probably a Time Skip-
Oh god, the songs are the best. Normally you would feel bored listening to them for several dozen years, but I dont, they're my only friends here.
-Skipping Time-
Im doing my daily jog, when something happens, its.... the next song!
-Time Dash-
Hmm....I just noticed this after so many years, I didnt needed sleep. Strange.
-Piks Emit-
I ponder through mankind's advancement, humans are fascinating. Some of them anyway.
-A Marathon of Time-
I remember one day, at my birthday, my mother brought me a cake. It looked lovely from the box, but surprise surprise, there were worms inside. I got admitted to the hospital after that, my mother proclaimed she was innocent. And the case was dropped. Such a perk to be a beauty
-Yup, a Time Skip-
I have a knack for intuition, if I guessed something, theres a seventy-five percent chance that my guess is correct. And now Im using it to guess how much time Ive spent here. About a thousand years perhaps? Give or take a few hundreds.
-Almost there-
I feel something is coming, and its gonna be awesome. My sense are tingling. Im sorry.
-Shame on you-
The songs are still playing. And Im running out of thoughts. Great.
-Almost almost there-
I feel...sleepy...agh...its a sign.....Im gonna..nap for a.....while..
-We're here-
