Chapter 27:Daring Escape!
All of them stood there unmoving. As I could see their murderous looking eyes.
They didn't attack but I knew they were not going to let me go.
“Hand over the Bear King’s loot!” Mango demands.
He was a medium built man. Looks to be in his early twenties.
“Why don’t we just kill him and camp his body!” The level 20 berserker suggests with his gravelly voice. His name is Vera and he looks to be in his late thirties and a biker’s gang.
“I don’t think you want to do that,” my voice suddenly squeaks out as my brain worked like a super computer.
“Why,” Mango asks with his squinty eyes.
My brain was working on logging out of the system and when I mentally press the log out button a warning screen appears.
System Warning: Force quit while in battle will cause your body to be in a temporary status for five minute. During these five minutes it will be considered you are still in game. In order to remove the status you not deal or take any damage for 5 minute.
Time: 4 minutes and 54 seconds
While this took a while to explain it took me less than a breath or two to read.
Basically I had to stall another 4 minutes and 54 seconds.
“Uh why?” I stuttered. “Because…”
I was still thinking of an excuse and then an epiphany stuck my mind. It was like a lightbulb moment in those cartoon shows.
Then I continued as they all glared down on me hatefully, “because right now I have killed a couple people on the field and my name is red. Which is a good thing for you guys. Which means right now I have chance of dropping fifty percent of my loot. Is that correct?”
“Yes that is correct. Wouldn’t that be a reason for us to kill you?” Vera sneers.
“Yes, it would but there is a problem,” I suddenly shouted. “Not only did I killed I picked up quite a few equipments, potions and etc. At least to the point where my inventory was almost full.”
I could see their killing intent slowly increasing the more I talk.

“Why are you giving us a reason to kill you?” Nukpana asks like I was mentally disabled or something.
“Let me get to my point,” I said forcefully. “While its true that my inventory is pretty full I made out with quite a bit of loot.”
I saw them raise the hand getting ready to attack.
“Wait!” I shouted in fear, “but do you want to take a chance and not get the boss loot? The black bear king dropped two iron tier weapons and a bronze tier weapon along with 2 gold coins and other stuff. Do you want to take a chance on all the useless stuff I looted or do you want the iron and bronze tier weapon!”
I shouted out that out in a hurry to prevent myself from getting killed. While I pretended to squint in fear as I raised my hand for self protection.
All of this took about a minute and six-seconds to say.
“Then what are you proposing?” Vera growls viciously.
I answered immediately because I did not want them to think I was stalling for time, “It is simple! I give you guys the iron tier weapons, and the bronze tier weapon in exchange for letting me out of here alive. I just wanted the experience points. If I remember correctly since the world open there has only been 5 iron tier weapons release right?”
I honestly don’t know how many iron tier weapons has been release and just pulled that out of my ass.
“Eight iron tier weapons has been release and the two you have would make it ten,” Nukpana chimes in.
“Right, right, right. So whoever controls these two iron tier weapon would have the advantage in the game. So do we have a deal?” I asked meekly.
The eleven players look at each other and then looks back at me.
“Tell us why don’t we just kill you and then camp your body?” Vera suggested with an evil grin.
I love this guy. He is helping me stall.
“Simple. Iron tier weapons may be important right now but time is money. In three days real world time I predict that iron tier weapons would be a second tier weapon and useless to elites like you. Right now with these weapons you can challenge monsters higher level than yourselves. For example this iron tier saber adds an additional 100 to 125 damage and increases attack speed by 10%. If you kill me now and don’t get this saber than in 3 days time it becomes obsolete to you guys and basically what could have been would dissolve into an illusion.”

So far two minutes and twenty-two-seconds has passed.
“He does sound reasonable,” one of the twelve players hear said rubbing his chin.
“We agree to your suggestion,” Nukpana said loudly for everyone to hear.
“Yes we also agree,” One sword said. I could see he really wants this saber since he only has a bronze sword in his hand.
“Alright then let me record it down on my video recorder. This way if you guys do kill me I will post it on the forum. Is that okay?” I asked.
They look uneasily at each other but finally agrees. I could tell they wanted to kill me right off the moment I give them the weapons but I am not stupid. My father is a business man and has taught me the art of negotiation and while this one wasn't perfect it did strike at their soft part.
“Fine!”
I turn on the camera to record everything.
“Okay. I Dark Bunny promises that if I give these twelve players here the iron tier weapons in my possession and the bronze tier weapon from the boss kill then these twelve players here would grant me safe passage out of this area and won’t try to kill me for twenty four hours in game time!” I shouted loud enough for everyone here to hear.
“Yes we agree!” they all shout in unison. That was a little unexpected. I was expecting more time wasted than this.
Three minutes and twenty-six seconds.
This is actually going to be my favor part.
“Okay I just have one teensy tiny question,” I humbly asked.
“What!” they roared out in unison again. Did they join a chorus or something?
“Who do I give these two iron tier weapons too?” I asked helplessly.
Three minutes and thirty-seven seconds.
“Huh?”
Clearly in the heat of the moment they did not think up to this point since they were so focus on killing me.
“I asked who do I give the weapons to?”
“You can give the saber to me!” One sword arrogantly commands.
“Who made you fucking leader?” Nukpana whose also a swordsman roars. Wow what a 180 degree turn I thought to myself.
“You think your wanna be guild can get out of here alive?” One Sword sneers.
“Hey what makes you guys think only you have the rights to the sword we all agreed to the same deal with this guy,” another person who was a level lower than them shouts out bravely.
“Fuck you dip shit! Shut the hell up and sit back down,” One Sword shouts as launches a sword skill at him that nearly killed the little guy.
“Guys why don’t we get the iron tier weapon first before we argue like idiots here?” Vera interrupted.
I actually hate this guy.
Fourth minutes and eight-seconds.
“You want me to leave it on the ground here?” I asked.
“Nooo we won’t you to keep it!” Vera answers sarcastically while he did an eye roll.
“Geesh calm down. How about you guys just do rock paper scissor shoot or something?” I suggested.
Four minutes and twenty-one seconds.
“Thats the dumbass fucking idea I heard all day,” Mango said. “Why don’t we roll dices and whoever has the highest number wins?”
“I like that idea,” Nukpana agrees and so did all the other ten players except One Sword but in they end he also agrees.
Four Minutes and thirty-three seconds.
“What are the iron tier weapons and the bronze tier weapon?” Mango asks.
“Black iron saber and black bear robe. The bronze item is the black bear leg fur.” I said without putting up resistance at all because I am so close to my time.
Four minutes and forty-five seconds.

Dream of the Abyss
Elisa Mary Grant died in a hospital bed after being stuck in it for six months, and like any other, her soul drifted away from her husk when she passed. For her, death was a release. It merely meant that she no longer have to wake up in pain, breathing through tubes and have doctors flood her veins with dubious chemicals for “experimental treatment”. Free from her mortal constraints and useless body, she felt… at peace, serene, even. Death is bliss, after all, when objectively living sucked to the point of extreme. Therefore, there was no reason to mourn at all and she knew she definitely didn't. ... That was until, on her way for a proper reincarnation, she found herself rudely interrupted and left stranded in the great NoWhere. “Wonderful,” she remarked as she floated in the [Beyond], “Just when I thought that suicide is the answer.” Author's note: Updates every Tuesday-Wednesday, probably some time in between. ... P.S Notes: Contains existential questions and nihilistic themes, rather philosophical. Will be rather sluggish until the MC gets her shit together. P.SS Notes: Story takes time to develop. And maybe uncomfortable. It's not gonna be action-packed or filled with battles, I think. Anyway, it is kinda unusual. P. SSS Notes: It is not LitRpg. Don't be fooled.

In the world of Valeria, The capital of The Kingdom of Albert is besieged and yet our story dose not begin in a stronghold or castle. Our protagonist is not strong or powerful, quite the opposite in fact, she is a ex-slave. An ex-slave that got "lucky" in a way that some fear and despise while others enjoy and like her. This is the story of the quite Ash the slave turned personal servant of the daemon princess Lucy Darkheart. This is very much a work in progress so please understand if there's any mistakes or errors. Not only that but I am a novice so that kind of thing is to be expected. Thank you! Edit: Updates are whenever I make one or two new chapters so expect them to be as inconstant as a dragons fire breath. *Tags and Genres may be added as the story progresses. I have a Twitter now cause it would not stop bugging me when I wanted to look at news for a game, the link is here, https://twitter.com/JustAPhoenix2 . I don't know if it works or not on the edit screen, but you can copy/paste it anyway. I may do stuff there like give insight to some of the more trivial parts of the characters lives. (That refers to ALL character, not just Ash.)
