Chapter 21:Rank A Quest
Once I got online I got a message from Dong.
“I’ll sent someone to get the two weapons from you. Which city are you going to go too?”
“Confederate City I think.”
“Okay. His name is Big Boom. He will give you the money.” Dong messages me.
“Okay have him add me.”
As I said that, I ran toward Dark Mage Rabi’s house. When I went inside the toad or frog or whatever amphibian that he turned into was laying on a hammock snoozing away.
“Master I have returned,” I said to him.
“Well, done my disciple. I actually have new quest for and don't know if you are up for it.”
“Master I am ready for any quest you have,” saying it out loud felt kind of nerdy, and geeky to me. It felt so awkward. It felt like role playing and I am this horrid actor saying out my lines.
“Well, said young grasshopper. I like you so once you reach level fifteen I will give you the QuasiMage script. It contains 10 of the most powerful skills that I have created and learned over the years. Whether you can learn it in the future will depend on yourself, but first you much reach level fifteen.”
“Yes, master.”
“Have you decided on what city you would like to join?”
“I have not master. Do you have a suggestion for me?” I asked.
“I myself am part of the Blackmoon city but I should not influence your decision. You can join any city but the Royal Heaven City.”
I thought to myself for a while and decided that I would join the confederate city. Having all stats add by one percent is defiantly better than just one stat being added. You know what they say team synergy is better than a one man team. It might be two is better than one but its whatever.
“Confederate city.”
“Perfect. I did not have to per per-sway you after all. Your quest is to go to the Tomb stone of our great Ancestor the first Quasi Mage. Inside the tomb stone is the first five volumes of the our Quasi Mage profession. This tomb stone is guarded by a divine Guardian his first General. In the entire continent he has three tombstones with a total of fifteen skills. It is known that it is at the southern forest of the Confederate City.”

Accept/Decline
Of course I accept was that even a question? It is a rank A quest after all. After I accepted another screen appeared.
Ding!
System Announcement: Congratulation you have accepted Tomb Raider(Difficulty Rank A). Objectives:
Find The Tomb of the First Quasi Mage
Find Burial Chamber of The First Quasi Mage
Defeat Guardian Le Fe
Retrieve The First Volume
Bring It Back And Hand it Over to Dark Mage Rabi
“Before you leave you will need this clue to help you find the tomb,” Dark Mage Rabi said lethargically as he tosses me a picture.
Once I received it I thanked Dark Mage Rabi for the mission and left. I went directly to the city transportation circle. It turns out I am just on a little island and only after reaching level ten can I use the transportation circle to teleport to the main continent where a war is raging between the five Kingdoms.
After I got to the teleportation circle I meant three solders that were operating it.
“Hold!” one of the soldiers shout. “Who are you?”
“Hi I am Dark Bunny am I would like to use the teleportation circle.”
“That would be twenty-five silver.”
I reluctantly handed over the twenty-five silver. The magic circle began to shine with the luster of an aurora. The stone pillars surrounding it sent a beam of light into the air as I teleported away.
Swoosh!
I have arrived in the city. The legendary Dark Bunny has arrived. I ran toward the registration house to register my alliance to Confederate City. As I ran I saw many demon players, humans, elves, beastman and a couple undead and plantanoid players. It seems this city is pretty diverse.
There were also a couple sizzling, hot ladies when I was running by. If my dick wasn't so small I would defiantly hit them up. I mean if I wasn't in love with my beautifully gorgeous Wenxin I would defiantly hit them up.
When I arrived at the office I talked with the registrar and got my city badge. This time I read the guide first before talking. If not I would have had to fork over 5 silver.
As I walked out I felt pretty proud of myself. Furthermore all my stats went up my one percent which is pretty much nothing sadly. One percent of 50 is still only 0.5.
As I ran down the streets and to the street to the southern forest. My name is still red so I can’t help but be nervous.
Ding! Big Boom has added you as a friend.

Accept!
“Hi is this Dark Bunny? I’m Big Boom. Winter Wind sent me to trade with you. Where should we meet?”
“Come to the southern section of the Confederate City. I will wait for you there.”
“Oh cool I am coming there now. Will be there in a couple minutes.”
“Okay.”
As I waited I checked my skills and it turns out the update helped me improve my dark flower palm and Triple stab to level two. Now my flower palm increase my attack by fifty percent. Triple stab increase my attack damage by thirty percent now. Nice! At this rate when it reaches level ten I will have a triple stab that increase my attack by 120 percent and a Dark Flower Palm with attack increase percentage of 185 percent. It turns out my Dark Flower Palm can only take the base attack without the increase provided by a weapon.
I checked my dodging skill section and it is level two too.
“Hey Dark Bunny!” I heard a squeaky voice call out.
I looked over and saw Big Boom or should I say Quiet Squeak because he was skinny and introvert looking.
“Hey you ready?” I asked.
“Yeah.”
We initiated a trade and I was thirty silvers richer than what I was 30 seconds ago.
After that I ran to the southern forest to try and find the tomb they were talking about. Once I arrive in the forest I saw many players around but I still can’t find the tomb. I checked the map and there were no graveyards. I finally took out the picture clue. It was picture of a house on a lake.
I opened my map and began to look for a place that had water. What I saw kinda scared the hell out of me. It was in the level 20 to 25 monster area.
Not to mention I am currently only level eleven. It is basically suicide going against monsters nine levels higher than you. No wonder it was rank A quest. Wait that makes no sense at all since if I level myself up to twenty then it be easy to pass this test. Their must be some kind of twist to this test.
Ding! An idea just popped into my head. Dong was actually pretty high leveled. I opened up my friends list and I saw Winter Wind, Moomooo, Quatu, and Big Boom. Winter Wind level was 15 and ranked 5039 on the Nations list. Moomooo and Quatu were about sixteen and rank as 2033 and 2085 on the Nations list. Big Boom on the other had was very far behind. Only one level higher than me actually.
I decided to message to Dong.
“Hey Dong! :D” I messaged with a smiley face.
“-_- what do you want?”
“Just saying hi and how is your leveling coming along.”
“A lot better than you…”
“Wanna do me a solid favor?”
“What is it? :/“
“I need to go into the swamp forest and was wondering if you can help me get there :3”
“TF! Thats the level 20 to 25 but yeah I can lol.”
“Thanks bro can we meet up right now and go? Its for a quest.”
“Yeah give me half an hour and I will teleport over. I am just coming back to Confederate city. Sent me the location and I will meet you there. What rank is the quest?”
“A.”
“How are you so dam lucky? Oh and I you’re gonna have to do my physics homework ^^”
“Sure.”
After that I began to kill the level 12 and 13 goblins around me. They were defiantly not that hard and the experience they gave were defiantly not that bad. 0.2 percent per kill. I just need to kill 500 hundred of these to reach my next level. Who am I kidding this sucks ass. I don’t have the time to grind like a dog with my dad breathing down my neck.
I killed about 40 of these goblins before a dashingly handsome prince came jogging over. He had a light bronze set of armors on with a wooden kneepad and everything. His sword behind his back. He looked like a very poor prince. Behind him were two identically gorgeous girls. They were level thirteen and fourteen. From the looks of it they were at least eighteen.
“Who are the babes behind you? ;)” I quickly messaged him.
“Hey Bunny!” Dong shouts. “This is Sara, and this is Susu. Susu is a healer and and Sara is a mage they are twins. This is Dark Bunny my friend.”
“Hi Susu and Sara.”
“Hi Dark Bunny,” they giggle in unison. “Do you need a hair stylus? My mom can give you a hair cut.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Your hair looks like it got in a fight with a weed whacker and lost,” they continue to giggle.
I was speechless. We chatted some more as were went toward Barimoon lake. This was the level 20 to 25 monsters are.

8 274The Rig Mechanist’s Maintenance Report
More than a generation had passed since the creation of a new type of weapon, one that outclassed anything else, but the creator put limits on the technology to prevent it from being used in aggressive combat. With the powerful humanoid weapons, rigs, there to stop battles from breaking out, new ways of taking land had to be developed. That led to the sport of rig combat; powerful weapons pitted against each other with countries betting land and resources on the outcome. But it wasn't just the machines and pilots that competed; the workers that ensured the rigs were able to fight had battles of their own. A mechanist's fight begins before the first shot is fired and their minds are their best weapons.
8 108The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

8 213Directorate: Nationbuilding in Apocalypse
A nation is just a means of survival. Metro Manila fell within 5 months of the first report of cannibalism. Once a hyperurbanized region of 15 million inhabitants, it's been reduced to a dead, greenless shell. Most of the infected had since left to ravage the countryside. The central government was nowhere to be found. Among the survivors who clung to the few gardens and humble plots of arable land left, one of them finds evidence that the slaughter wasn't going to just end with the first wave. Without a nation and a wall of guns, everyone will die. Directorate is an original nationbuilding webnovel that focuses on the gradual rise to power of a select few individuals, and the subsequent unification of the survivors of a devastated Metro Manila. Releases targeted at every 1 to 3 weeks. If there are no chapter updates after 3 weeks, there will be a progress update. Number of releases targeted at a maximum of 100 chapters. Every 10-15 chapters, there will be a 1-month hiatus to let me plan for the next 10-15 chapters. Double releases have a not-insignificant-but-still-small chance of occurring. Original cover edited on GIMP. Destroyed city original photo "apocalypse" from Camila Rodrigues on Pixabay.
