《Transcending》Chapter 11 : One Stone, Two Birds

Mia cleaned up and came out to find Sun lazily yawning next to Lin, to the side was a giant freshly killed mountain ram.

"This is frustrating, my clothes are still dirty even though I tried to wash them twice."

Mia wringed her dress to drip the remaining water and felt her smooth thigh through the tears, feeling bitter and lamenting how this dress used to be one of her mother's future gifts when she grows up, despite being more than happy to be able to survive this life tribulation with Lin and Sun's help Mia was disgruntled because if she had her spirit powers then this dress could've been perfectly intact.

Using spirit energy to coat your body or something else gives it a layer of protection, without that protection this normal dress which was her mom's gift for Mia when she reached the 20th year old was ruined.

"How could I forget to change my dress too, I was too distracted by my spirit tools and now it's torn almost to shreds. Sigh, sorry mom."

That was a cause of grief for Mia because she felt like her mom was displeased as she watched over her from heavens, Mia slapped her face lightly as she remembered how her mother used to be sickly all the time yet didn't forget to arrange Mia's clothes until she fully matured into one charming woman just like her late mother used to be.

"Well, you can wear this for now, I converted one of the bed sheets to this cloak. Hope you like the colors."

Lin offered the distracted Mia the turquoise cloak and she smiled sweetly when she discovered that Lin didn't get bothered when their hands touched.

She didn't feel the previous chilly feeling on her back of the neck whenever she was close to Lin, the previous dangerous vibe from Lin was a lot fainter now.

It didn't fade at all entirely, but it stayed there like a beacon in the darkness.

It was calm and quiet, like the observant sleepless eye eternally looking over the whole world.

"Thanks."

Mia donned the cloak and got on top of Sun's back and hugged his thick neck intimately, but Mia's eyes were pointed at Lin's body and waited for him to tell them what to do.

"After You and Sun deliver this ram to the dead end, wait on the other side of this mountain pathway and stay low and hide from the eyes of the vultures. Buddy, go incognito mode alright. When you hear the sound of falling rocks return and occupy the high terrain, i'll find you."

Lin summoned his wings and flew top speed towards the vulture's nest, while Sun ran around in the mountain path until he reached the dead end dragging the ram's body with him and let go of it there then started to agilely scale the mountain wall blocking his path while carrying both Mia and the supply box on his back.

Once Sun reached the top he let go of the supply box as well and started descending with only Mia on his back, chattering non-stop about a "Xiaoxi" and how much she misses her own pet.

"As I thought, last time you really did notice me. You're a sharp fellow, ain't ya?"

The vulture king glared at Lin with infuriated eyes because Lin had suddenly crossed the 2km distance separating them, it was angry because Lin had stopped in a higher level with his tiny wings and fluttered them slowly.

"Xiiiii....."

With it's screechy sound the vulture king pushed strongly with it's talon on the branch underneath it and took to the sky aiming to impale Lin's tiny body with it's blood-red beak.

"Whoosh...."

"Sorry but not this sage, this sage is planning to live a long and a happy life this time. Be a good leader and bring your friends over, it's time you eat. The harder you work for it the more you'll eat. Now follow me."

Lin used his hands to block the wind effect of the vulture king passing by, a single flutter and Lin had changed place and shifted 30m to the right.

The wind still affected Lin at that distance and he didn't stay in place after it happened because the earlier sound from the vulture king had awakened the rest of the vulture committee and all eyes were focused on his tiny body, they all did like their king and started to try and impale Lin with their beaks or try uselessly to use their talons to catch him

Lin said that after he evaded the threatening vultures left and right then flew back towards the mountain ram's dead body, the fastest vulture at his tail was the black feathered king who was able to suddenly accelerate by strongly and repeatedly pushing down with it's wings.

Still Lin was keeping watch over it's location all the time with his soul sense, whenever the vulture king tried to suddenly accelerate Lin would speed up in turn to keep it within a safe distance yet not too far for the vultures to give up the chase.

"Don't get too full of yourself birdie, yet I doubt you'll understand me. Here is where we both say our goodbyes, oh I like your feathers by the way."

Lin turned to look at the flock of vultures and landed on top of the dead ram's body, the vultures circled the skies and glared at this little prey which dared to intrude into their territory and their king was the closest to Lin as he tried to find an opportunity to launch a devastating attack to catch Lin or hurt him to the degree where he wouldn't be able to fly faster than the vulture king again.

The vulture king glared at this cocky little stranger who dared to come provoke them in his own nest, he needs to squeeze him beneath him and step all over him to teach him a lesson before eating him.

When the black vulture king heard Lin words rang in his soul through the soul link technique which Lin just used, it felt like this strange creature was provoking it with whatever it said.

"Xiii...."

The vulture king found that it's talons had dug deep into the mountain ram instead of the yellow winged pipsqueak, it's sneak attack was a failure and the little one was nowhere to be found.

The black vulture king found shock in the eyes of it's brethren when it looked around, the spurting blood from the dead ram made the other vultures more interested in this easy meal than looking for the one who led them here in the fist place.

"Don't bother looking for me, enjoy your meal."

Again Lin's voice rang inside the vulture king's head and the hot blood on it's talons and the fresh smell made the king compare the size of Lin's body and this ram, the sour feeling of missing it's chase made the vulture king take to the sky and the committee was forced to ignore this snack and follow it in a tour in the area looking for Lin.

"Don't make me force you to stay there."

Lin said to himself as he hid nearby and watched the flock of vultures as they circled the area, he didn't want them to leave until the Assassins arrive.

When the king of vultures failed to find Lin it returned to the ram and started to feed, but it wasn't in the mood to eat and left the body and perched on the highest rock of the dead end and looked around with it's bloodshot eyes.

The strongest few of the vulture committee were the first to step forward and the rest waited obediently behind.

"Now it's my turn, the only suitable position to block the way back on the Assassins is this place let's see which of these two walls is prone to collapsing hrmmm.... They're here, perfect timing."

Lin discreetly arrived in place and felt the walls with his arms, he was studying the cracks of the rocks with his soul sense and discovered the oncoming assassins exactly 2km away one riding the scorpion tailed cerberus and the other running next to it.

Both of the cloaked assassins stopped at the entrance of the dead end pathway, vigilantly the two people looked at the two sides of the high rocky walls then again at the only easy road forward between them.

They had to go forward in that direction at their fastest speed, otherwise Mia will be given more time to rest if they delayed their chase any longer.

She already got time to eat and rest a day ago and the latest traces indicated that she cleaned up and showered, anymore and the saintess might get spare time to lay a trap for them.

What if she was already aiming to ambush them in this narrow pathway? But, what if she is only baiting them into being too vigilant into choosing to scale the higher terrain while she escapes further?.

Both men looked at each other once without any of them seeing the eyes of the other before Xiangming jumped from the back of his tamed cerberus, they choose to venture through the pathway while keeping a close look at the sides of the rocky walls.

A very alert mode was turned on between the two assassins.

'quite vigilant indeed, they placed themselves closer to the cerberus's body to shelter beneath it if there's a case of the rocks falling from above' Lin smiled widely when he saw how these assassins half understood what his plan was but they missed the hidden factor of their incoming event of intrusion on the vultures as they feast on the free meal.

'hrmmm what kind of intuition is that? But since you started to enter I know that you'll continue even if you feel like there's something wrong' Lin thought that when he noticed that the assassins had stopped 700m underneath where he stood and looked up after hesitating whither or not to go forward on the pathway which snaked about in this rocky terrain.

As he predicted Lin watched through his soul sense how the two assassins and cerberus continued to go through the pathway towards the vultures but one of them looked back up towards the general angle where Lin stood!

"Pointless."

Lin said faintly and watched until they reach the certain point where they enter the range of the vulture king's senses, the dark bird seemed to be quite irritated because Lin had escaped it's range of senses despite being under it's nose and kept looking everywhere trying to find where he hid.

That time would be when he use the technique which he used in his earlier trials to demolish some of these rocks, once Lin returned to his room after first flight attempt almost killed him and looked at the hole in it's ceiling Lin started to use his wings to experiment how could it evaporate the hard formula of concrete which he created their palace from.

There wasn't any broken or demolished parts from the ceiling, it was as if Lin had originally created the ceiling with this hole in it in the shape of half folded wings.

First he started with glass after wearing armor he'll use his wings and try to make it happen again by passing through it, the phenomenon of evaporating the matter which Lin passes from at high speed happened only when he used his wings to face the glass and his body wouldn't be in the area of the collision.

Lin kept on thickening the glass to test how far can he take this ability, he can escape using them or to use these wings to access behind obstacles.

The thicker the glass board the harder it was to breach them without having to break at the end, and Lin had to release his cap on the control of his wings inorder to slow them down otherwise Lin would be thrusted to god knows where with his insanely fast wings of light.

Right now Lin was forcefully integrating his soul energy in his control of the martial spirit which he calls them "Wings of Light" if he didn't stop the wings from moving beyond what his soul sense range is capable of perceiving and what is his brain is capable of translating and judging then Lin is possibly gonna smash face first into some obstacle with his body.

If it was his body taking the hit then no matter how strong his protection or how strong is his body then all that will remain will be the buddle of gooey innards and a splatter of blood, the same couldn't be said if his wings were embracing his body and covering it.

He'll end up passing through like a hot knife in butter if his speed was equalising the mass of the obstacle or breaking the obstacle with brute force if Lin's speed was lacking, too slow would mean Lin stopped by the obstacle and his body will receive the impact.

Lin ended up calling this technique Wings of Freedom, by propelling himself with his wings covering his body from any obstacle in it's course Lin can pass through it safely as long as he correctly judges the thickness and sturdiness of the object's materials.

At the right speed and through the perfectly calculated mass of the obstacle in his way Lin can leave a hole in a mountain if he liked, as long as his wings were shading his body from the moment of impact then he'll end up leaving a wings shaped hole in his wake.

The whole matter wouldn't make Lin experience anything other than flying in clear sky, no aftershocks or vibrations happens.

The wings would make all disappear in it's way at that time, Lin would try with different obstacles everyday seeking to see the differences in their resistance to his wing's penetration.

These stones wouldn't be a problem to Lin if he wanted to make a few weak points for this side of the mountain wall to collapse entirely, he stuck his back to the rocks at an angle aiming to exit seemingly diagonally to the other side from the pathway.

"Xiiii...."

"Now."

Once the vulture king noticed the slowly approaching assassins and their three headed three tailed cerberus it made a loud shriek with it's blood-red beak and shot towards old Weisheng and Xiangming at top speed aiming to scoop one of them and crunch him with it's talons.

"Careful.... Arghhh! Quick retreat...."

"Crack.... Crack.... BOOM."

Despite being unable to catch-up to Lin in their short chase, that vulture king was really extremely fast.

Lin was able to evade it only by removing his soul sense control over his spirit wings, doing that would make him move at an incomprehensible speed way beyond his current capability to measure and that enabled him to escape the range of the vulture king's senses.

These assassins and their cerberus felt the threat heading their way and old Weisheng tried to warn Xiangming as he hid underneath the scorpion tailed cerberus for protection, but, the vulture king was heading for him at breakneck speed and latched on to his left arm.

End result was that old Weisheng got his left arm torn from the shoulder, after gritting his teeth he tried to warn Xiangming to retreat.

Yet, Lin was never going to give them a chance to just leave that easily, like a cannonball he went in and out from the mountain side leaving one hole after another behind him and the heavy stones couldn't hold their place after those underneath them collapsed.

Landslide covered the only path of retreat with more than one km high rocks to deprive the two assassins from the ability to leave at a hurry, not to mention that these two assassins Xiangming and Weisheng found themselves surrounded by hundreds of vultures plus their king right after the dust cloud covering their sight partially dispersed.

"Fuck, we're trapped. Old Man Weisheng how's your hand? Can you fight?"

Xiangming pulled out two gleaming daggers one cyan colored and the other purple and asked as he tried to look around at a suitable position nearby to help them defend the attacks from these vultures, during his swift escape underneath the cerberus Xiangming noticed that the black bird aimed at Weisheng instead of him and saw his partner cover the stump of his left arm with his right hand to stop the bleeding after managing to take cover.

"Don't mind me and focus on killing whomever comes near us, I still have a few poison vials on me. Smear them on your daggers the lightest wounds will make these birds paralyzed for at least a day, we need to dwindle their numbers as much as we can otherwise there will be no chance for us to survive this trap."

Weisheng said before stuffing his remaining hand inside his cloak and brought out three small glass vials containing faint yellowish liquid and handed them to Xiangming with bloodied fingers, then Weisheng tore a piece of his clothes and tied it around his bleeding shoulder with gritted teeth and sweating forehead.

Xiangming nodded then used the poison on both of his daggers and watched from the safety underneath his cerberus's belly as the minion vultures harassed his tamed beast.

Despite the cerberus having three heads and three dangerous tails to defend itself, the vultures were too many and their attacks were constantly leaving wounds on it's body.

Those elite vultures and their king were observing the ongoing fight between the cerberus and his brethren like a general overseeing the battlefield, everytime one of the vultures got stung with the cerberus's stinger or bitten by it's green fangs it will either lose it's ability to move entirely and bleed purple-black blood from the sting wound or wobble left and right for a while before falling asleep.

After Weisheng tended to his wound he unsheathed his short sword and used it to attack any vulture that he can hit from the safe place underneath the cerberus, Xiangming was more daring and suicidal.

He refused to be bested by these vultures in a contest of speed and would venture out from the safety to try and stab or graze a few vultures with his daggers before he returned to safety once a lot of vultures targeted him at once, while the main target of the vultures attacks would be the cerberus itself, ten seconds after the attack of the flock started and it's body is covered in light wounds and one of it's three heads lost an eye!

"Xiii...."

The vulture king was a ruthless commander as it seems because it didn't go easy on their enemies, it's already bloodshot eyes started to darken after it made that loud sound angrily.

Once it saw more than a dozen of it's followers fall in the first clash either dead or paralyzed, it commanded it's elite vultures to aim for the cerberus while the vulture king itself aimed for the most annoying one of the enemies.

Xiangming.

Having the vulture king fleet in and out from his range of sight, the younger assassin was forced to ignore the vultures in his surroundings and focus on preventing the black vulture king from sneak attacking him.

At once the cerberus was befallen with all the pressure especially since Weisheng was already struggling and couldn't hurt any of the vultures with his slow movements, while Xiangming was passively unable to deal any further damage to the vulture flock because of the vulture king.

Lin snuck around the ongoing fight and met up with Sun and Mia as they halfway climbed back up.

"How did it go?"

Mia expectantly asked Lin once he appeared suddenly next to them, her eyes were full of excitement as she imagined the end of her pursuers.

"I blocked their path of retreat and currently they're fighting the vultures, the vulture king crippled one hand and their cerberus lost one eye and got inflicted with countless shallow wounds. Right now it's a stalemate, if the assassins overcame the vultures and managed to push them into leaving somehow then the cerberus is going to be unable to join any fights from now on, that's only if it managed to keep it's life by then. If the vultures won at the end then you wouldn't need to do anything and my job will be done here, are you going to leave with us or are you going to stay here for a while before you leave? I can point you to the location of my village if you want but whither or not you'll get permission to stay will be entirely up to Lily."

Lin briefed Mia on his accomplishments then asked about her future plans, shrugging he told her that Lily is currently the judge, jury and executioner of his birthplace and it's current inhabitants.

"I would like to meet Lily someday but I can't delay my breakthrough to the tyrant realm anymore, delaying any further than these two years which I spent on the land of forgetfulness will be useless. When you plan on returning here someday take me with you, or do you think of this big sister as a burden which you plan on ditching after giving her a hand once."

Mia crossed her arms around her developed chest cutely and said that while giving Lin a mischievous smile as she replied, her attitude differed very much once she heard from Lin that he didn't mind sending her to his home alone to live there for a while.

That meant that Lin doesn't fear that she might harm his family, unaware that there in their midst is one personnel which is thousands of time scarier than our kind-hearted Lin.

Lily that walking miracle which duplicated Lin's scary potential before shedding herself from his soul at their birth, she alone has in her bag more than a dozen ways to get rid of Mia if she felt like it.

Pouting her lips slightly with obviously faked disgruntlement Mia asked Lin if he didn't want her to accompany him in his journey outside the land of forgetfulness, while pushing her chest upwards and making it sway and vibrate to tempt Lin.

Looking at Mia's green eyes and her sight as her fluttering turquoise cloak moved with the wind as she mounted his tiger, Lin shook his head slightly and didn't answer her playful line because there was no need to answer at all.

After accompanying this young beautiful woman for more than a day Lin already gave his verdict on her personality, airhead, lazy, mischievous, spoilt, honest and kind.

She wasn't your typical next door big sister but, she deserved his help otherwise Lin would've left her after helping her to a meal and a chance to rest.

Especially the shadow of longing that appeared in the depth of her green eyes whenever Mia mentioned her sect or her father.

Lin had the same buried feeling whenever he remembered his previous life.

"Here is fine, when the fight is over between the assassins and the vultures end i'll notify you. Like we agreed me and Sun will not join the fight, that's your matter to deal with...."

Lin suddenly stopped talking and looked down towards the direction of the fight, which made Mia frown and ask : "What happened." As she squeezed the handle of the sword in her hand.

"Growl...."

Sun's sudden growl stopped Lin from explaining the situation to Mia and both of them looked at the tiger waiting to see what is causing him to object.

"You want to fight? We don't know what these assassins are capable of doing, no buddy, it is too risky."

"Grrr...."

"Lower your voice idiot! What if you attract the vultures towards us instead? You can join under one condition, I be the one to give commands, only what I tells you to do can be done. If you defy my orders once then i'll add shifting shapes into your daily training and lower your portions by more than half. If you're okay with starving in the future then by all means ignore my orders or drag your feet as you execute them."

"Whine...."

Sun's fur stood at end when he heard the threat from Lin and repeatedly nodded his head to accept the terms of his agreement.

"Good that you know obedience still, if you behave then you might get your share of the action."

"That cerberus took a vital wound and one of it's heads is almost decapitated, from the amount of blood loss I reckon it doesn't have enough time left to live. These vultures as well had lost many of their members in this fight with the cerberus, both sides has their fair share of casualties among their ranks. I wonder if that vulture king will beat the drums of retreat anytime now, it's elites has only half of them alive and the rest of the flock lost two thirds of their members."

Lin gave Sun a look that told him to quiet for now and narrated to Mia what she expectantly waited for him to update her on the ongoing fight.

"Serves them right, bully me for two years! Humph. One crippled in the hand and the cerberus decommissioned from the fight huh, even if the vultures retreated I'm not planning on letting them ever leave here alive."

Mia smiled and squinted her eyes trying to see downwards through the cotton mist 100m at the end of her sight's range, hoping if she could see these two assassins struggle for their lives.

Lin again decided to be helpful to Mia and give her this satisfaction, he transmitted to her what his soul sense was able to see.

"Hrmmm.... Yes, sever the second head arghhh dummy don't aim for the front when dealing with a scorpion tailed cerberus, his back is wide open poke him in the butt or something. The assassin is behind you, idiot could've left a wound on his armor. Useless!"

Mia started commentating on the fight excitedly after Lin sent her the live feed of the fight with his soul link technique, waving her fist in the air and covering her face on every wasted opportunity the vultures could've used.

"It's dead, hahahahaha. You see? They're retreating! No they can still win, come back idiots one of them lost an arm and about to fall from exhaustion after receiving more wounds and the other has nothing more to protect himself. Sigh, guess i'll have to do the rest myself then."

Mia was ecstatic when the scorpion tailed cerberus fell in a blood pool of it's own making, then she stared up at the white mist covering her view and watched with Lin's soul sense how the vulture king the only one who didn't get wounded at all ordered his minions to retreat and left many paralyzed vultures and more dead behind and flew away.

She noticed that the vulture king seemed to look at their direction twice as it left and remembered how Lin warned her that this king can sense others from a distance, sighing Mia understood that this intelligent creature knew that she and Lin had used it and it's flock to attack these three and might drag even him into their trap and kill him and the rest of his family.

"That's why I said before that they might retreat, the vulture king didn't forget about my existence during the fight and long before these assassins were discovered by it. Now that it lost the majority of it's flock and avenged it's fallen brethren by killing the scorpion tailed cerberus it can maintain it's strong image amongst it's kind, but if it stayed longer and subjected itself to possible harm if we happened to catch it and the assassins with their pants down as they wrestle in the mud. Even if it managed to escape then, the surviving vultures might feel unsecure under it's command if their numbers dwindled any further and abandon the nest."

Lin contemplated for a second then told Mia his conclusions as he looked at the leaving vulture king with an apologetic gaze, he wasn't happy that he used this animal to weaken Mia's enemies but he didn't have any other means to solve it.

"Hey assholes, this saintess is right here if you want to keep track of my location then you better hurry up I don't have any more time to waste playing tag with your sorry bums. One minute is generously left by me, don't you ever say this saintess isn't merciful."

"Ugly bitch, you caused the death of my cerberus."

Once Mia shouted that downwards at the top of her lungs, the answer from the handsome Xiangming was heard as he bolted forward towards the mountain wall and agilely jumped on the stones like a monkey or used his daggers to help him latch on the rocks and propel himself upwards.

Despite his speed which surpassed the best mountain climbers of Lin's previous life by at least the double, the height of this mountain would take Xiangming at least 5 minutes to reach them.

"She's baiting us, wait, Xiangming!.... Sigh, he's lost it. Fucking youth."

Weisheng tried to call for Xiangming to calm down but the suicidal assassin didn't look back once and continued to climb higher until he disappeared from his range of sight, looking at his missing arm Weisheng followed after him but at a much slower rate as he singlehandedly climbed.

Their mission vitally relied on the cerberus's godly senses and abilities to keep track of it's target's location no matter the separating distance, now that it is dead them Weisheng and Xiangming has to keep Mia under their close sight all the time if they wanted to finish their mission.

Despite being riled up Xiangming did the right thing by going after their prey -Mia- without hesitation, and Weisheng hated how much the situation turned upside down in so little time.

"Oh you mean that mutt, I guess you can say that it was because of me. Don't be sad, this saintess will make sure to cut your handsome face off before I send you to hell to join your friend. Hurry up doggy, kekekeke."

Mia heard everything the calmer crippled senior said and smirked evilly as she antagonized the handsome Xiangming further to enjoy driving him insane.

"Cut off my face! I'll rape you until you love me then i'll skin your face slowly as I cum inside your cunt. You bitch dare to have thoughts about this celestial being's face. Hateful."

Xiangming flared up and his eyes glowed with rage when he heard Mia, his climbing speed upped another notch and the assassin climbed 50m every 10 seconds despite how rough the terrain was.

Lin frowned upon the string of profanities which Xiangming gave Mia and gave Sun the sign to convert his body to a kitten, Sun didn't whimper once then jumped at Lin's shoulder and excitedly urged him to move it and go after their target.

Sun didn't stop using his kitten paws to pat gently on Lin's shoulder excitedly and shake his little fluffy tail.

Both tiger and boy tailed the crippled assassin who slowly climbed upwards and left Mia alone on top waiting for the handsome assassin called Xiangming to reach her, Mia was standing in a relaxed stance with her sword tip facing the ground.

"Heh, very confident as always you little bitch. Don't think that your sword intent will affect me, i'll make you suffer for what you said about my face earlier."

"Big words, let's see whither or not you have the backbone to back them up. This sword of mine can be heavy you know, the reputation of your assassin guild rests upon your hands. Foul mouthed and ugly to the extreme, as expected from one of these group of snakes hidden in the grass. Come, this lady will teach you some manners today at the cost of your life of course. Tehehehe, fair isn't it?"

Mia smiled as she replied the assassin whom she could've killed before he stepped foot on her level, yet she wanted to vent these negative emotions which clouded her heart and kept interrupting the flow of her sword comprehension.

"Thrice today, you bitch has offended me by killing my cerberus...."

"Clang...."

"Saying something that you shouldn't have said about my perfect face....."

"Crack...."

"Calling me ugly...."

"Ka...."

Veins popped up on Xiangming's face when he heard Mia's words, it seemed like something has snapped inside him and the assassin wildly swung both of his daggers after each line he said.

Mia's sword blocked the first strike coming from the cyan dagger in his left hand and her sword was pushed back by a faint cyan halo covering the dagger, the second attack from the purple dagger in Xiangming's right hand caused her dilapidated sword to crack once more after a few electric sparks resulted when she parried the second backstabbing swing when Xiangming twisted his torso and aimed to pierce her side.

The third attack caused the upper third of her sword to fall after breaking and Mia saw Xiangming smirking in despise then he unleashed his killing intent without abandon in attempt to scare Mia and disrupt her momentum, Mia on the other hand didn't seem to be phased by Xiangming's tricks and looked back at him apathetically with cold eyes.

"Idiot."

Single word was all what Mia said before a sudden burst of violet halo covered her broken sword, like thick violet jelly waving with the slightest movement she swung her sword downwards at Xiangming.

This time taking the offensive, she aimed at his cyan dagger.

"Screech...."

Sparks flew when both blades met and the faint cyan halo covering the dagger dimmed considerably, not only that but Xiangming took half a step back and seemed to be on the losing side of this exchange.

He had to use both daggers to stop Mia's slash, if Xiangming didn't swiftly react then he might've been pushed back and lost his balance momentarily.

Losing his balance while facing such an expert sword wielder like Mia would mean his end.

'how could she be this different? Her sword wasn't this heavy last time we cornered her, what caused her to change this much.... Oh no, where's the beast and the little boy?' Xiangming tried to stop his shivering hands as he thought that then his eyes widened and he looked around fleetingly searching for Lin and Sun then he opened his mouth to shout while taking a defensive pose.

"Old Weisheng watch out...."

"Not so fast now, I can't have you ruining the surprise for our dear one armed fellow."

Mia smiled when she noticed that Xiangming had noticed that Lin's plan from the very beginning was to separate the assassins for her to take her revenge, and Lin turned out to do a darn good job as he got rid of the cerberus without Mia breaking a sweat and gave her the chance to enjoy venting her stifled frustrations on these senior cultivators to her heart content before sending them to their grave.

She lunged at Xiangming and thrusted her broken sword towards his throat and the assassin had to shut up and focus on stopping Mia's attacks while hoping that Weisheng understood his intentions with the previous warning, every swing from Mia was both fast and heavy which caused Xiangming to retreat one step after another while feeling humiliation well deep inside his chest because he couldn't keep up with the tricky angles of Mia's strikes.

She's a lower ranked junior cultivator who's a genius when it comes to swordsmanship, while he's the senior cultivator armed with a set of spirit tools.

Yet, Xiangming struggled with his defense in this considerably narrow area and regretted losing his composure when his tamed beast died, he tried to buy time until Weisheng arrives hoping that the ugly fuck would hurry up.

He's barely able to hold Mia at bay but that won't happen for long, this bitch was toying with him and seems to be holding back her sword intent.

Weisheng heard Xiangming's words and thought he meant a sneak attack from a falling boulder and stuck his body in a narrow crack in the mountain wall, vigilantly looking up he waited for a while only to end up finding nothing falling.

While Lin and Sun fluttered silently at the exact distance of 102m with Sun looking at Lin waiting for him to give the command, both watched Weisheng as he came out from the crack and continued to climb at slower pace as he cautiously expected something to fall from above.

"Sun i'll appear behind him in three seconds, you get only one chance to attack him understand?"

Lin asked Sun through his soul link technique and got an excited nod in return and the tiger in kitten form stood up from his crouching position, hearing Lin's countdown Sun dug his tiny claws in his friend's shoulder to stabilize his body.

"Now."

Lin gave the signal for Sun to attack and perfectly stopped 7m behind Weisheng, exactly where the assassin's blind spot lies.

"Roar...."

Sun changed form once his hind-limbs left Lin's shoulder and his left forelimb slashed with four long white claws at Weisheng's midsection aiming to bisect him in two, but, when Lin appeared behind Weisheng the assassin's sixth sense warned him of the sudden incoming danger and his lone hand let go of it's grip on the rock.

Free-falling was his only quick way to escape this crisis, the deafening sound of Sun's mighty roar had froze him after he let go.

If Weisheng hadn't let go beforehand then his body would've held on instead and that tiger could've succeeded in severing his body in two!

Before the assassin sighed, he felt pain from the stump of his right hand and blood splattered on his eyes!

"Arrgghh....."

Sun changed the angle of his swipe with his claws and severed the assassin's remaining hand from the shoulder.

"Kitten form NOW!"

Lin's voice rang inside Sun's brain before the tiger got to celebrate his success, once Sun's tiger body shrunk into a cat the assassin currently free-falling twisted his neck upwards and puffed up his cheeks then blew hard.

"Vzzzzt...."

The sound of crackling electricity covered one bluish green needle as it flew towards the place Sun's head was supposed to be then stuck in the rocks behind him, these rocks melted like butter and that needle entered 30m deep in the mountain rocks before shattering into countless tiny pieces then evaporating in a blue cloud of mist.

The area 50m in this needle's surrounding turned from solid rocks into sand and toppled down, Lin caught Sun and watched from a distance as that cluster of sand followed after Weisheng and fell.

"Meow...."

"Noooo...."

Sun shivered in Lin's embrace when he saw the aftermath that needle shot by Weisheng caused, he bared his kitten canines at the falling assassin and Sun reminded himself again to obey Lin's every command without delay or hesitation.

Flipping in the air with no way to find his balance the older assassin uttered his final shout of unwillingness.

"Bang.... Crack.... Creak.... Bffft...."

The man called Weisheng hit the bottom a few seconds later after he couldn't find his footing no matter how much he tried to stop his body from slamming hard against the hard surface, first contact made a small cloud of dust to fly around his body and the sound of his bones breaking god knows how many times was totally audible to Lin who felt his stomach twisting and his feeling of nausea made him want to vomit.

The sight of the assassin spurting blood from his mouth which flew 5m high before all vital signs went out from his body and the blood coming out from countless wounds before the sand covered his dead body, were the last straw that broke the camel's back and Lin flew to a rock nearby and started to vomit.

"Huff.... Huff.... This sickening feeling? We caused the death of a fellow human buddy, we've sinned today."

Lin sat down to watch the sand cloud settle on top of the assassin called Weisheng's motionless body, then he remembered how the first killer in his previous life felt after killing his brother.

Hugging Sun's body to his shivering arms Lin muttered faintly as he regretted accepting to let Sun join the attack, this matter of dispute had nothing to do with Lin yet here he is.

"This world of mine is like an endless swath of mud, anywhere you go you'll still end up with some on your shoes."

Jin Bao's voice rang inside Lin's head, full of wisdom and tinged with a touch of fascination.

"These two caused the death of at least a thousand others, nobody knows how much more would've suffered if they were left alive."

Again with the calm voice Jin Bao seemed to try and calm Lin's agitated emotions.

"Don't think too much about the mud at your feet, Karma threads have us all entangled one way or another. Those who harm will suffer in return, you're no different and the same goes for him."

Jin Bao seemed to be advising Lin, yet for our young great sage he felt like the man trapped in a ring was reminding himself instead.

"You caused his death and the one above is surely going to follow him anytime now, but, your village and it's people live peacefully because of your existence while countless undying ghosts rest in peace now because of what you did."

Jin Bao said with apparent pride smearing each word and what he said seemed to uplift Lin's downhearted self somewhat.

"Thank you old Jin, i'm alright now."

Lin wiped the sweat off his forehead and stood up after patting the anxious Sun who kept trying to erase Lin's sadness by rubbing his fluffy head with Lin's cheek.

"What happened here is considered nothing in my world outside, when you go there you'll see much more wicked and despicable inhuman sights everywhere you go. You sure you want to do this? You're kind and compassionate, gentle and thoughtful of others. I myself don't wish to see you end up getting suffocated by my world's darkness and injustice and would rather you don't leave at all, sigh, all I ask is for you to help me restore my body back. After that I promise not to force you to stay if you wanted to return home and to do my best to deliver you safe and sound to your family. On that I swear on my soul, let it shatter to smithereens and my Dao disperse for eternity if I go back on my words."

Jin Bao still felt worried that Lin might've some second thoughts about returning home and swore an oath to Lin to give him a layer of mental ease.

"Don't worry, since I said that i'll help then I will. Returning here in the future will happen one way or another, no need to overthink much."

Lin answered after shaking his head and flew up.

Lin knew that if he left for long then Lily would do the same on her own anyway, if this world is full of darkness and evil like Jin Bao said then if Lily left she has to be monitored by Lin himself.

Otherwise, it will be a cause for the world to go absolutely mad if she left on her own!

"It's been a while since your ugly mug said anything, what happened? Cat got your tongue? Your weapons are about to lose whatever spirituality they got left you know, no more tricks up your sleeves huh. Then I can only send you to join your mutt."

Mia sarcastically said while she engaged Xiangming in a flurry of slashes, she was winning every one of her exchanges and pushing Xiangming back one step after another.

All of Xiangming's hidden weapons were successfully evaded by Mia and she had Lin to thank on this matter, if it wasn't for his live feed of soul sense then she would've been at least wounded twice by them.

Now she was sure this Xiangming was panicking inside but maintained a tough facade hoping for his partner's arrival to help alleviate this precarious situation which he dived headlong towards it with his free will, snickering inside Mia licked her lips seductively and said : "no need to wait, your colleague just fell to his death after losing the other arm. The earlier sound was when it happened, accept your fate."

"Clang...."

Xiangming pulled back into a scurrying flee once his two daggers blocked Mia's last stab, his widened eyes and gaping mouth spoke volumes about how much he wanted to retort yet his tongue felt heavy right now.

Heavier than mountains and his throat was drier than the desert.

"Im.... Impossible!"

"Believe it or not, you're going to join him soon enough to confirm my words. Right? Lin."

Mia didn't try to convince the assassin and shrugged her shoulders as she answered the antsy man, then she turned her head to look at the left where Lin stood with Sun outside the range of Xiangming's sight and asked with a smile on her face.

"You know that I can't understand your language Mia, I want to leave so please hurry up."

Lin said through his soul link technique after walking two meters ahead for the handsome assassin called Xiangming to see him, since Mia spoke with the man in their foreign language and mentioned him Lin thought that they were saying something related to him.

It was impolite to speak with others without looking at them, that's why Lin choose to appear for the man to see him.

"Yes, I'm done with this piece of trash anyway."

Mia nodded and stopped toying with Xiangming anymore, the panicking Xiangming gritted his teeth and tried to focus on evasion instead of defense while his eyes searched for a path to escape.

Finally his eyes fell on Lin's small body standing still and watching the fight.

'this little brat is the reason this bitch was able to rest and retaliate, trapping us must be because of him, the reason my cerberus died, the reason Weisheng died, the reason my dream seems to be impossible to witness. A kid ruined my plans? Laughable, I am the most handsome being of all. I will be the talk of the world of cultivators as the celestial genius. I'm taking you with me to the grave if you want my life, no way am I going to die here alone' Xiangming thought that when he saw Lin watching him with saddened eyes for some reason, these sad eyes were the same eyes of someone watching something as it dies.

"Don't be too sad, someday i'll send the holy daughter who hired you to accompany you in hell. Despite how black hearted she's Katherine is still quite a beautiful face with a perfect figure, I allow you to indulge in shameful acts with her body in the afterlife."

"Aeon's Slash."

Xiangming couldn't move a single muscle despite wanting to run towards Lin and take him as a hostage to escape this predicament, Mia's voice was like the grim reaper's sound as it entered his ears, cold and apathetic.

Lin watched as the sword in Mia's hand sent one violet slash at the remaining assassin once Xiangming had the idea to target Lin instead of facing Mia in an unfair duel, that violet slash didn't leave a wound on the assassin's body but it looked like his soul was cut into two!

Then Xiangming slumped face first on the ground and the glow of life faded from his eyes.

Mia looked at the sword in her hand which started to crumble and fell piece by piece into the floor after her last strike in gratitude, then she spat at the body of the dead assassin and rudely pried the daggers in his hands and the ring in his left hand then left the dead body to rest in peace after checking every piece of armor the man wore on his body and unceremoniously removing what she felt like taking.

"Let's go down to retrieve the space tool of the other assassin little Lin, why are you giving me that look for?"

Mia stood up carrying two daggers, one ring, a pair of shoes, a black cloak inlaid with three shining gold stars, a silver full body armor and one brown belt decorated with 9 large diamonds.

Once Mia looked at Lin she found him looking at her like some sort of a thief, getting edgy under this gaze Mia asked in apparent annoyance.

"You're disrespecting the dead."

Lin said calmly and waited for Mia to return the man's belongings.

"Huh! Bfffft.... Hahahahahaha."

Mia wasn't expecting that kind of answer and let go of the things in her hand and bent over holding her belly and started laughing like a lunatic.

"Is there something funny?"

Lin frowned at Mia's demented behavior and asked with a straight face, while Sun shook his head at Mia to warn her not to be an idiot right now.

Sun already knows that Lin is currently in a bad mood, and Lin can be stubborn sometimes whenever he sees something outside his set of rules.

In these cases it's either you learn how to behave according to these rules or Lin would just cut you off from his company and you won't get to enjoy it unless you repent on your previous mistakes, Sun hated Mia's annoyingly childish mellow attitude but he loved how she never stopped scratching his fur and hated to see Lin kicking this woman away from their side.

Mia gives a good massage and that's enough for Sun to keep her around, it would be a lot better if she shut up that's all.

"Hrmmm.... These are my spoils, if I don't take them then i'll be cursed by all cultivators! It isn't like as if I left him naked, did I? This is how it works, the winner takes the wealth of the loser and tries to become stronger to honor his falling enemies by raising higher."

"She's right, wealth is the most important aspect of potential alongside hard work and inborn talent. Chance of fortuitous encounters can be added but it relies more heavily on luck, anyway, don't stop her from taking these items they belong to her by right since it is her kill. Even if that man is brought back to life he wouldn't object to that, and I doubt any cultivator would, me and her included."

Once Mia disgruntled and defended her actions with pouted lips, Jin Bao's voice stopped Lin from lashing out at Mia with one of his speeches about honoring the dead.

"You go first, i'll bury him before I come down."

Lin shook his head and refrained from arguing with Mia anymore on this matter, he walked towards his supply box and brought out a small shovel then started to slowly dig the hard rocky ground under Mia's green eyes.

"Meow...."

Sun was agitated when he saw Mia bite her lower lip then turn around to leave heading downwards, when he couldn't help but notify Lin of his intentions of going down too, Sun started to ask to be excused with pleading eyes from his saddened friend.

"Go but don't make trouble, I'm really not in the mood buddy."

When Lin accepted Sun's request he found Sun rewarding him with a few cute poses, smiling faintly he waved his friend to leave already before he changes his mind.

Not wasting any time Sun ran for the edge and leaped down in his cat form and enjoyed the wind hitting against his belly and flattening it to work as a parachute alleviating his fall, when he was next to Mia he gave her a mischievous kitty look and the saintess competed with him in who can reach the bottom faster.

Once Lin saw this Xiangming dies he knew just how dreadful Mia can be and he severed the live feed of his soul sense, despite being an airhead she didn't hesitate whatsoever in killing the assassin and acted like a bandit by looting his items.

"So that's what you was after huh, there's another monster core for Sun to eat after the one he took from the mammoth. I wonder if something is going to happen this time with his body after eating it."

Lin saw Sun land down safely a few seconds before Mia and bolt forward to the cerberus's body and crack it's middle head open then take out one purple-green core from inside it's brain matter then swallowed it whole greedily, once he did that Sun crouched down on his belly and closed his eyes.

Before Lin got to cover assassin Xiangming's body in his grave, Sun had already started emitting reddish steam which covered his body and a few meters around him in a red globe.

Mia on the other hand dug out the assassin called Weisheng's body from underneath the bile of sand and adeptly looted all the items he wore on his body, afterwards she rested in the shade with a wide grin on her face.

Mia was relieved and swimming in abundant feelings of freedom, once she rested her head she was instantly asleep and her tired body sunk downwards deeper into the ground until she laid down on the hard rocky surface.

Peacefully the saintess of the seamless sword sect let go of every kind of guard she had left on and released all kinds of mental defenses and turned off her alert mode, she only did that when she was in her abode in the sect amongst her fellow brothers and sisters.

Even Mia herself would be amazed if she were told that someday she'll ever do the same in the presence of a 6 years old boy and his demonic beast, especially if their acquaintance only lasted less than 3 days so far!

For her to give Lin this kind of trust in this short duration was completely against her sect's teachings, her father would surely reprimand Mia if he knew of what happened that day from the saintess.

Lowering your guard and leaving yourself completely guard-less and vulnerable is a very risky move, cultivators are very unpredictable and vulnerable to all kinds of temptations.

Mia as the saintess of the seamless sword sect naturally has her fair share of accumulated wealth, all it would take from Lin is a single slit of her throat while she's asleep or Sun's sharp teeth or claws to strike once.

Lin buried Xiangming and went down to do the same to Weisheng then he cooked the remaining of his food supply for his tiger, as for Mia he gave her a blanket and a pillow after shifting her body on a sleeping mattress.

Sun took longer than the previous incident in his strange steamy phenomenon, it lasted more than 8 hours straight and by the time Mia woke up from her sleep lazily Sun's globe of red steam was starting to fade out.

"You're done with your evolution Sunny?"

Mia only wiped her drowsy eyes once then got up energetically to run towards Sun who just appeared in front of Lin's eyes for the first time in more than 8 hours, that steamy globe had blocked Lin's soul sense and he didn't want to forcefully look inside in fear of causing any trouble for his tiger's body.

"Growl...."

Sun who just stood up from his crouching position was about to stretch lazily but Mia's sudden fluffy cuddle with his left forelimb interrupted that, again Sun didn't accept Mia's childish attitude and tried to get rid of her clutches by pushing her away yet her gecko-like arms didn't let go at all no matter how hard he flailed his leg!

Mia was giggling as she enjoyed the swinging motion from Sun as he tried to get rid of this pest stuck to his leg, Lin ignored them both and focused his soul sense and complete focus on Sun's body.

Except for some slight changes in the muscle ratio in Sun's body, his shoulders had two slight protrusion on both sides of his forelimbs.

"Whine...."

Once Lin touched the undeveloped protruding meaty strange parts of Sun's shoulder, the tiger whined and lost his annoyed composure.

A sudden shiver caught his body like an electric current and Sun lost his strength, his body crouched down and he looked pleadingly at Lin.

"Hrmmmm.... This tickles huh! What if I do this?"

"Murrrr...."

Lin understood Sun at once and figured out why his attitude changed from extreme irritation to total submissiveness, after mischievously smiling once Lin dug his five fingers inside Sun's novel body part and caressed gently.

Sun was gasping for breath as his best friend tickled him until he couldn't think of anything other than the word : Mercy.

"Not fair...."

Mia who got entangled in this incident dug herself out from Sun's unintentional hug, when Lin touched the protruding part on his friend's shoulder Sun ended up falling on his side by reflex and his two forelimbs squeezed Mia's body to his chest full of fluffy blood-red fur

First she was enjoying this unexpected intimate gesture from Sun who usually threatened her with his growls, yet, when she found that this was all caused by Lin in a prank on Sun.

She climbed over to the tiger's shoulder then attacked the other side, Sun was both enjoying this treatment and hating it in the same time right now.

He felt vulnerable right now and his majestic image in front of his best friend was cracked by the existence of this weakness, ultimately the tiger gathered the remainder of his strength and shook off both Mia and Lin from on top of him and ran away with his tail behind his legs under the endless giggles of Mia and the amused eyes of Lin.

"Roar...."

"Alright I will leave you alone, come over buddy there's lots of food for you here."

Lin heard Sun's disgruntled roar and pointed at the piles of food at the side for him to feast, the tiger was emotionally hurt slightly because Lin had ganged up on him with Mia earlier.

More so because Lin exposed Sun's newfound weakness to this woman whom kept sticking close to him all day like the glue, baring his teeth at Mia intimidatingly Sun refused to change back into his kitten form no matter how much she asked him to and gulped all the food at a hurry before going away to hunt something to restock their supplies since Lin told him to leave the paralyzed vultures and their dead alone and the same went for the cerberus's body.

"Hehehe he's too cute when he's embarrassed."

Mia laughed at the escaping Sun and rested her back on the chair lazily and enjoyed the wind as it ruffled her hair.

"One of these space rings should be yours Lin, why didn't you ask her for your own spoils? At least think of your tamed beast's future."

Jin Bao said to Lin as he started to pack his stuff, he seemed to be displeased with this matter.

And he was really annoyed with this saintess of the seamless sword sect attitude, Lin should be the one to take all these spirit items and tools because without him nothing would've changed at all.

Yet, only the cerberus's core was taken by Sun and the rest of the spoils fell into Mia's pockets, and this stupid boy didn't ask for anything at all.

Doesn't he know that his journey to come would require a certain amount of wealth? At least some cultivation resources is going to be needed for his spirit cultivation, better yet if some medicinal ingredients helpful to body refiners were found.

Jin Bao was feeling sorry for the dormant potential buried deep within Lin's bloodline left without release, now amongst his three aspects of cultivation Lin had the soul taking first place followed by his body taking the middle spot which he managed to wash it's impurities twice so far then spirit at the tail taking last place with Lin still without a single wisp of spirit energy inside his barren Dantian.

"No need to ask, since she's getting greedy then the next phase of the journey will witness the end of my help."

Lin replied then went to a clearing and started to train his body according to the pumma style, after ignoring Mia she felt a sudden boredom and started to rummage through her spoils when she couldn't understand the purpose of Lin's training routines.

She saw him slowly changing from one pose to another with his small body!

How could that be considered training? Others would lift weights or quench their bodies in difficult environments, some even soak in medicinal concoctions.

Yet Lin, someone from the barbarian emperor descendants was doing some kind of a dancing routine to train.

'tsk, I thought he'll come to ask for his things, little Lin seems to be a proud boy. Humph, i'll play your game of silence, let's see how long you can play it for' Mia thought as she checked her face in Lin's mirror, she wanted to give him his items if he asked for them but Lin has abstained from saying anything.

Sun returned carrying a large yellow bear then he and Lin started to skin it and filled their supply box back with enough provisions for two days.

"Buddy don't let Mia ride your back anymore until I tell you to do that."

Lin sent Sun that sneakily once he carried the supply box and he himself took to the sky with his wings.

"Eh.... Hey wait for me!"

Mia was surprised when Sun ran after Lin without letting her ride his back, at a hurry she grabbed her spoils from the ground and ran after them.

The things in her arms made Mia feel uncomfortable as she ran, add to that the idea of running anymore after spending two years running like a tireless horse which made her sick to the stomach.

"Sun come-on!"

Mia tried to convince Sun to let her ride him while the blood-red tiger gave her a teasing smile full of scary fangs and ignored her, he always kept a 30m distance between him and Mia to prevent her from latching into him.

"Liiiin! Tell Sun to carry me, he's being naughty."

Mia stuck her tongue out at Sun then shouted for Lin who flew 80m high ahead of her.

"Sun is my friend and he can decide for himself, if you were wounded then I would've told him to carry you but you're not."

Lin answered while shrugging his shoulders and Sun didn't forget to answer Mia's gesture with his own tongue stuck out as if saying : "only I tell myself what to do, got it."

"Bullies, you two clearly are doing this intentionally. Humph, I'm not running anymore you two go on ahead of me."

Mia's face flushed with anger then she pouted her lips and puffed her beautiful cheeks, stomping her feet Mia threw the things in her hand and stopped in place as she said that.

"You can try and convince him, Sun doesn't like to help people for free you know."

Lin expected Mia to throw a tantrum with that personality of hers and said calmly after throwing that hint.

He stopped and looked at what Mia will do now, while Sun licked his paws with a careless attitude as if Mia's previous actions were none of his business.

She was speaking a foreign language to Sun anyway.

"Eh! How could I forget uncle Chentian's advice, here Sunny, do you like this shiny belt? It has large spirit diamonds on it. No? How about this dagger? It comes with this one as a set, right, he has his own claws what need these daggers would be for a beast. Come on Mia think, what can a tiger want from these items? Uh.... Here Sun, see if you like any of these items. Take whatever you want, but you have to carry me from now on."

Mia slapped her forehead then tried to negotiate with Sun who nodded then started to use his long claws to push armors and clothes away, unaware of the commands the tiger was currently taking from his flying friend Mia fell in Lin's manipulations when she asked Sun to take his pick.

Sun tapped on her left hand with his claw on one of her three rings, exactly the one belonging to Weisheng then Sun took the sleeveless cloak and the leather armor and boots then finally added the short sword to his choices.

All Sun's choices belonged to the poison expert Weisheng including the space ring.

Mia deliberated Sun's choices and hesitated wither to agree or not, because these items she had planned to give to Lin once he touched the topic of his share of the spoils.

Then she saw Sun's provocative smirk and Mia's daring personality refused to be looked down upon by a beast many times weaker than her, deciding to give Lin her own share of the spoils if the need came to be Mia opened her palm in a handshake towards the large tiger asking to finalize the deal.

As the saintess of the seamless sword sect she had no use for these half destroyed items and tools anyway, all the wealth of the assassins must be stored within the space rings, now that Sun has took one she still has one more which she can give Lin.

"Good job buddy, your acting skills has improved they're way better than before."

Lin commended Sun on his efforts and watched as Mia loaded her stuff on the tiger's back then urged him to run.

"Come-on, run like the wind."

Mia raised her arms to the sky as she spoke while her feelings of freedom intensified a hundred folds after she remembered how she's going to breakthrough soon, then she'll fly the same as Lin without having to use any spirit tools.

Sun exchanged a glance with Lin once before following his best friend south, this time, their speed was uninterrupted by any detours.

"Heh, you manipulated her nicely but don't take this idiotic woman's personality as a front image of us cultivators. From her behavior she was clearly seeking the chance to tease you and only give you your belongings once you ask her for them. She's so rich to the degree of not needing a single one of these items, never underestimate a member of the five great sects."

Old Jin Bao's voice was full of recognition of Lin's ways, yet he felt like Mia was careless about these items and let go of them too easily because of their uselessness and worthlessness to her.

"I know, Mia isn't that dumb she's just in a good mood and feeling generous right now. See how she's staring closely at the south, I bet she's more eager to leave right now than even me and Sun."

Lin gave the excited beauty in a fluttering turquoise cloak a look then smiled at how Sun was giving him cunning looks sneakily, that attitude seemed to suit Sun the best not even his strong majestic attitude came close to his behavior right now.

Still, Sun complied with Mia's requests and ran faster when she asked him, the sneaky tiger was testing his improved body and using the chance to please his scammed customer.

Two birds, one stone.

'I'm the smartest' Sun thought as he lunged forward then after crouching he jumped on top of a 15m tall rock then pushed forward to cross a rough terrain of jugged rocks and high stones.

"Yahhooooo......"

Mia was very happy and made a few pleased loud sounds to encourage Sun to keep up doing more of the same actions.
