Beka and the group were doing fine the second floor was easier as Matt would always kill any Spitters that they came across with lightning bolts, the ampigators that came were easily slain by both Sara and Beka.

Since there was a decrease in stingers they found it easier to proceed. They were about half-way through when they noticed all the monsters disappeared.

“So you are the fools who have stepped on my domain.” A low and heavy voice said

“It seems there is a boss here everyone be careful!” Beka said

“Tsk how annoying I’ll start with you.” The voice said

Before long a giant sound wave similar to something the ampigators did came Beka was completely stunned and couldn’t move. When she came too she noticed that John was gone.

“What the Hell John is already gone!” Matt said

“I guess that’s the second time I killed that idiot, well no matter now it’s your turn.” The voice said again before the group noticed it was a giant ampigator however it had brilliant white skin instead of the usual grey.

Beka immediately used her eyes to see what they were facing

“I don’t like those eyes they feel like they can see through me.” Blaster said before he turned around and swiped his tail at the group.

Beka came forward and formed a shield before blocking the attack Sara came behind her and supported her. Once the attack was stopped Sara and Matt attacks him. Beka changed her shield to vines the trapped his tail.

Blaster tried moving his tail but seeing it stuck he moved his head and tried to bite Beka. Beka released her vines and dodged the bite.

“My attacks aren’t able to cut his skin!” Sara said

“Defend Matt!” Beka said

Blaster tried to bite Beka again but Beka jumped into his mouth and used her two swords and pierced the top and bottom of his mouth and used her strength to try and keep his mouth open.

“Attack his mouth now!” Beka yelled

Sara jumped inside the mouth and started to slash it. Matt started to launch lightning bolts inside the mouth.

Blaster was starting to get really afraid and desperate, using all the power he had he tried to close his mouth.

Beka noticed her weapons were starting to crack seeing this Beka quickly ran away and said “The mouth is closing!”

Sara reacted as quickly as she could however before she could escape the mouth closed and both of her legs below ankle were bitten off.

The Beka prepared to attack Blaster again. Blaster turned and attacked with his tail again, without Sara’s support Beka tried to defend again however was unable and was thrown to the side. However instead of continuing to attack Blaster activated his sonic dash ability ability and disappeared from their vision.

Beka and Matt stared dumbfounded at the scene as the monster ran away. They waited a minute and didn’t see any action in the water. The monster truly did run-away this was a first for Beka and Matt.

“So what do we do now? Sara fainted, also she is in no shape to continue the dungeon should we exit?” Matt asked

Beka clenched her fist she couldn’t disappoint her master also the boss wasn’t too hard she believed she could defeat the boss and kill the core.

“Leave her we can’t carry her we need to kill the core as quickly as we can. How many mana potions do you have left?” Beka said

“I have 5 potions left but we’re leaving her here? Can’t I at least set up a barrier to protect her?” Matt asked

“How long will it take?” Beka answered

“About 15 minutes.” Matt replied

“Fine go ahead and place the barrier we will also take this time to rest up.” Beka said

Matt nodded and started taking out magical stones they had gotten from killing the monsters. The barrier would use the magic inside the stones to create a barrier that would last as long as there was mana still left in the stones.

After he created the barrier they jumped onto the next lily-pad and continued forward. Monsters appeared less frequently due to the fact most of them scattered away due to the mini-bosses approach.

After 10 minutes they finally reached the entrance to the final floor. Unlike the previous two floors this floor was just a plain labyrinth it was full of traps the group almost died from the likes of spiked floor and darts. However because they did this floor before they already knew the correct path and the locations of the traps, as for monsters there was maybe a few ampigators located here and there.

Thus it only took them 15 minutes to go through the floor. Finally they reached the boss room. They opened the door and a familiar giant Stinger appeared in front of Beka’s eyes.

“Hello Legion I’ve come here to kill you again.” Beka said she was tired and frustrated she wanted to vent all her anger and sadness against the boss.

The boss screeched and Stingers started to appear from hives on the roof. Soon the room had a cloud of stingers surrounding Legion.

Matt quickly started to use his magic he used shortened chants to launch lightning bolts at the stinger swarm. Chants in magic only lessened the mana consumption, so the longer a mage chanted a spell the less mana it required for them to actually cast the spell.

So in extreme situations mages just fire magic without chanting. What Matt was doing was somewhere in between where he used a small chant to lower the mana cost. This skill was called quick-chant.

Beka was using a giant blunt hammer to sweep through the swarm. The swarm didn’t feel like it was being trimmed down so Beka used her mana to enlarge her weapon. She also charged forward to reach Legion.

Matt covered her by casting a small lightning shield to cover around her to prevent stingers from reached her.

With the barrier Beka was able to reach the center of the swarm were legion was currently flying. Beka changed her weapon in the form of two small blades and started to attack Legion. Legion tried to evade but her own swarm was in the way thus she kept taking damage.

Annoyed by this Legion screeched out and the swarm subsided and Legion started showing off her flight skill.

It was now hard for Beka to fight Legion as she had to use her blades to counter the bladed legs of Legion. The swarm however instead of focusing around Legion isolated the Matt and Beka as they created a wall and started to attack Matt.

Matt was unable to keep the lightning barrier around Beka anymore and created a wall of lightning yelling “Beka quickly finished this I can only last for so long!”

Without the barrier anymore Legion commanded small groups of stingers to distract Beka while she was attacking.

Beka used her skill Bark skin and made her skin tough enough to resist the stings. This didn’t mean she didn’t take damage it just meant she wouldn’t be poisoned. This skill could only last 10 minutes and be used only once every 3 hours.

Beka after fighting for a couple of seconds started to understand Legions attack pattern. Finally she was able to cut off two of the insect’s legs off when it came to attack close by sliding underneath the flying insect and extending her blades to cut off the lowest two limbs.

Legion screeched and flew away from Beka and started to spit balls of acid while it commanded the swarm to block Beka’s path.

Of course most of the swarm was still dealing with Matt but still a portion of the swarm and impeded Beka. Beka ignoring the stings ran past the swarm and ignored a couple of the acid blobs ran up and used both of her swords and impaled them into Legion.

Legion cried again and the swarm started to do a suicide attack against Matt. All the swarm practically ran into the lightning wall Matt set up completely depleting his mana and making him faint from mana exhaustion.

Legion struggled to remove Beka off her, but Beka stayed there with her blades embedded she used her mana to change the blades inside the body and rip the hornet from inside. Legion didn’t last too long before crashing into a wall and dying.

The swarm ran away after Legion died, Beka started to limp towards the dungeon core which was located in another room after the boss room. She looked and noticed Matt was out cold. She opened the door to the final room before a craggy voice shouted.

“Super Ultimate Gargoyle Punch of Doom!”

she noticed a small grey leg in front of her she was completely exhausted and had no energy to evade her health was also completely depleted from being thrown around the room. So she had no way to evade the kick that was coming towards her and she blacked out.
