He evaded me still, the one goblin I wanted to kill more then the rest of them. I wanted to bury the shadow talon into his throat like he did to that annoying girl right in front of my eyes.
"I can help you find him." I turned around, a woman stood there ghostly pale with jet black hair and crimson eyes.
"How? I have been hunting every last goblin I have seen since the first one and I can't get a read on where that first one is any more." This woman wasn't a normal human, she was too perfect.
"I can call all of them from about a hundred miles to one location." I could of purred at her suggestion.
"And what would it cost me?"
"You are far too clever," she smiled and her pearly whites glistened in the setting sunlight. "Twelve hours and your memory." I looked down at my watch, 14 hours remained until the world was supposed to end.
"The twelve hours comes from this right?" She nodded as I looked at my watch. My stats had rose to a level I never thought possible in the last few days. "How much of my memory?"
"That all depends on how you do while fending them off." The smile was seriously creeping me out.
"Fine, anything else?"
"No just pick the place where you want them and I will make it so."
I was looking her right in the eyes as I pointed to the large oval building behind me that had an open roof.
"That will do."
Her smile somehow got larger as she saw what I pointed to.
"Very well, do we have a deal then?"
"Almost." I drew the shadow talon and placed its tip under her chin.
"What are you doing?"
"Wondering what happens if I killed lady death." Her eyes flashed with panic for a second then returned to her usual calm state.
"How?" She placed her fingers over the blade and a small crack appeared on the blade of my talon.
"You eek of death," I scrunched up my nose. "Would you rather me call you by your ancient name of Thanos?"
I pulled the blade back, I had confirmed her identity with that comment. She purred while laughing.
"Very well you have my name, but I am going to make this into a spectator sport due to your imputance."
I nodded while looking at the crack in the blade, I never made it to the shop to make a spare talon and now there would be no time.
"Deal!" Thanos looked like a child at Christmas who was about to open a present.
"How long until they are here?"
I turned to look at the stadium.
"The last of them should be there in under thirteen hours but please don't kill any more until the last one arrives.
"No promises." I walked away towards the stadium.

"Where are you going?"
"To go play a game." I could feel her grinning behind me.
Her presence vanished as I stepped into my shadow. I didn't know how many would appear but I needed time to get ready.
One shadow step and I was inside the stadium. Darkness was my best friend. I shadowed stepped from entrance to entrance blocking off their escape routes.
I left two ways open to the field and one way in or out. I didn't want to give that bastard any escape route.
I caught the glimpse of the first goblin to enter the stadium. There was still ten hours until I could start to kill them based of Thanos's game. I moved and stood on the pitchers mound. The goblin watched me walk into full view of the stands but stayed hidden behind a chair in the bleachers as far away from me as possible.
I checked my watch, the time had moved forward on the rift countdown. I looked up to the sky, the rift had begun to look like it was burning.
More and more of the human goblin variants poored into the stands, each of them was roughly four feet tall and their ears were shorter then the original goblins.
There were seven different coloured goblins. I was starting to wonder what the difference between them each was when I caught sight of my target.
He squated near the top most exit in plain view. He started to make a noise that I thought was their speech. What ever he had said had begun to spread out and echo around the stadium. I turned slowly and saw that non of the goblins were hiding any longer. They all stood on the chairs with their arms and weapons held high in the air.
Two more hours.
"Sorry Thanos, but it might be hard for me not to start to kill them early."
I started to spread my power out around me, darkness spread across the ground. This would be my zone of control.
I spun around checking to see how far my zone controlled, each of the plates had been covered by the darkness. I smiled as I felt something enter it.
Moving through shadow step tickles. If you move just right you can see your self falling into the shadow on the other side.
My previous point smiled at me as I rose up behind the blue goblin that came at me.
"Boo!" I yelled behind it and the goblin twisted its legs together and fell over.
I started laughing it was too much to watch this sole goblin looking like it was facing its doom.
I wanted to reach out and help it up just to scare it again.
Two red goblins came next together from opposite sides. I checked my watch I still wasn't allowed to kill them.
I stepped into my shadow just before the two would of ran into me. I laughed hard at the sight of them running into each other. The goblins in the stands started to appear confused as I looked up to find my real target. He was slowly making his way down towards me.

On the other side of the stadium different creatures started to decend from the open rifts.
I looked up.
Above me I the air looked like a modern take of the Greeks coliseum. It looked like thousand of humans dressed in black stood around looking down in shock as creatures rushed to jump down and into the rift.
I watched as I stepped from one spot to the next as goblins started to get closer to me.
"Why are humans on the other side of the rift?" I asked out loud knowing that I wouldn't receive an answer.
Thirty minutes until I could kill them all.
It was becoming hard to move around safely. The whole field was starting to flood with goblins.
Her pale skin glowed in the dark room high in the stands. She stood there with her hands pressed against the glass. Her crimson eyes glowed as two more gods moved beside her. One had eyes that glowed blue while a smaller one had the same crimson eyes as Thanos.
How much longer would I have to dodge before I could fight.
I readied my shadow talon as I glimpsed at the time, another minute.
Two blue goblin heads disappeared from their bodies as soon as the countdown ended.
My goal was to kill my target first but I lost sight of him with how many steps I had to take.
White goblins started chanting something from high up in the stands. A golden dome appeared above the stadium as they finished their chants.
Red goblins stood around the edge of my dark zone holding crude shields and spears pointed at the center leaving enough room for other goblins to enter the ring.
Green goblins ran fast and low to the ground, these ones were tricky to dodge, they attacked with their claws or short crude knives. This was the most common type of goblin.
Blue goblins were rare, I couldn't tell the difference between the blue ones or the green ones.
Black goblins pointed arrows at me and fired any time I moved too far away from any other goblin.
Yellow goblins just stood there. There was only four of these ones that I could see any they didn't move once since the battle started.
The last ones were cool. These goblins looked more human like and were the only ones with hair. Different elements shot out from their palms as they looked like they were dancing. Each shot landed killing a goblin who moved in the wrong way. A step slower and I would be dead my self.
Arrows started to rain down more frequently as the green and blue goblins died off.
I broke through the ring of red goblins to deal with them next.
The stands were now filling with shadows making it easier for me to move about.
My target stood on the pitchers mound and watched me slaughter its kin.
It appeared to be doing the same thing I had done with spreading out darkness.
The black goblins didn't last long. They had range but no defense.
The white goblins were a bit of an issue, their chanting had gotten annoying.
A golden wall separated me from them that was impossible for me to move through.
I stepped around the wall trying to find a weak point.
The hairy goblins found the weak point for me as one of them struck the ground with magic in front of the wall.
The goblin on the other side stopped chanting as its skin burned.
The shadow talon made a ting sound as I sliced through the last white goblin.
The goblins were quiet now as the remaining of them stood in the field below me.
I stepped closer to the field and they dropped their weapons.
"He still isn't done yet, I may win this bet." The three gods had moved forward out of the glass box.
"The goblins have given up, isn't that a win already?" That wasn't the voice of a God, I knew that voice.
I didn't want to look behind me and let my prey escape.
"The bet was all dead before the others arrived."
"Yes but I don't see them here yet do you?"
"They are but almost right outside."
"Then they are not hear yet."
I wanted to look behind me. I knew that voice for sure.
"Ah fine, but they will be soon enough."
"Then he just needs to finish this last fifty I that time."
Fifty, only fifty remained and one was my target.
I glanced at my watch, I was running low on stamina. Moving so much through shadow step takes a lot out of you.
I started feeding my mana into the shadow talon. The dark blade appeared to have grown to be over ten feet long but the weight never changed.
I stepped into the field and swung the blade. My mana plumited as forty-nine goblins died.
Ping.
The shadow talon's blade almost broke off.
I stepped into the goblins dark zone and started a death dance as we both started to try and step behind the other and attack.
Tyler?
What was Tyler doing standing beside Thanos?
I purposely stopped stepping and grabbed hold of the last goblin as he tried to attack me.
I shadow stepped behind him while holding his arm.
A strange popping noise rang out across the field right before I stabbed the talon into its neck.
I stood where I had started. On the top of the pitchers mound while the three beings approached me.
"Fine you win!" Thanos looked angry as she came near me.
She reached forward and touched my forehead.
The world went dark.
