《B1nary Bl00d》Chapter 7

Well... right off the bat I've got a problem. Outside of the pod is a vacuum, and not the kind used to clean floors. I look around and see a red button with the words OPEN DOOR written under it. Now I have to think of a way to open the door, and not die from being sucked out at (literal) break-neck speeds.
Alright, I've come up with an idea. I strap myself back into the chair, then use a small strand of my nanites to push the button.
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!! is all I can think. I think I shattered my left arm. My plan failed horribly. Instead of my seat holding me in place, it just flew out with me. Although I guess a shattered arm is better than failing the mission and dying. looking at my arm, I use the nanites to lock it in the L position. I also lock my shoulder in place. I wonder if constitution would help it heal? I guess I should have maxed it out before I opened the door.
I adjust my nanite distribution and max out constitution. Once I do that, the pain in my arm greatly diminishes. Now that I am no longer in excruciating pain, I look around at my surroundings.
I look up and what I see surprises me. The outer shell is nearly five-hundred feet up. And there are machines all throughout the place. The whole place has an almost abandoned look. Everything is white or unpainted. It barely looks like there has ever been life here, which makes sense, after all. It is an automated station.
I am surprised there aren't any security or repair bots though. I did punch a big hole in their station after all. I should probably get going in case security is on its way.

I start walking away, looking to see if there are any important looking machines. I walk for a few hours, but don't see anything important looking. Then suddenly I hear a voice announcing,
"ATTENTION PERSONEL, OUTER HULL BREACH SEALED."
Well, that's good. I think. I dismantle my vacuum suit. I leave it on my left arm though, to act as a splint. I don't want to risk making it worse.
I give up on finding something important looking. I'm just going to start breaking things at random. I move my building nanites among the machinery and try to pry them apart, but that doesn't really work. Then I have an epiphany. I try directing my nanites consume the machinery. And it works! My nanites start to consume the machines. Then I get an even better message.
Nanites have reproduced nanite count: 51/50
This is great! This greatly increases my destructive capabilities. This should make this far easier. I have my nanites keep eating the machines until there are double the amount as before. I want to make a hole in the floor, but need to make another vacuum suit. I do this then keep making more nanites until I get this message.
Max nanite count reached. For more nanites become smarter.
Then I remember I allocated all of my nanites to constitution. Ah the feeling of getting smarter, how awesome it is. I have the nanites keep eating the machines until I hit max again, but by now I'm tired, so I inflate my air mattress and go to sleep.
I wake up and after an hour of trying, get the airbed back in its stupid little container. I check my building nanite number and see it's at 317/50. Now to open a hole in the floor. As a precaution, I make a cocoon of nanites to hold me to a machine. I don't want to get sucked out should it prove to open to a vacuum. I have the nanites make the hole, then, to my horror, I'm sucked out too.

Also available on Audible! After centuries of endless wars, the three greatest nations of the continent have come together in peace. As a symbol of their cooperation, they have worked together to establish the Grand Academy of Spiritual, Martial, and Arcane Arts, a place where the best and brightest of each nation can gather on neutral ground and share knowledge, techniques, and cultures. Can the peace truly last, or is the academy just another proxy for the constant conflicts the three nations face? None of that matters to Lee Jia, a homeless young girl who's biggest concern is surviving the winter. But when she accidentally stumbles into the academy in search of a new place to stay, her destiny is changed forever. Determined to carve out a new place for herself and make the most of her good fortune, Lee Jia dives head first into the world of magic and martial arts. Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to my first attempt at writing a novel. I am preparing to participate in the 2017 NaNoWriMo event so enjoy the first chapter as that's here early only to ensure that I have a place to post once the event starts. This means the first novel/book will have a target of 50,000 words. I'm excited to attempt this challenge despite the hurdles I will have to overcome. I do have a demanding full time job so planning time to write and make weekly releases starting in November will be my biggest challenge. Also, please accept my apologies on my cover. I'm not an artist and the only digital tool available at my disposal is the stock microsoft paint. So I did my best to create a decent cover as I did not want to steal the work of another. If there are those interested by the end of November in donating a new fan made cover then I will look into replacing the old cover.

LML
A cataclysm occurred in the world, which rolled back its development for many centuries. The power in it returned to the church, because otherwise, as the "2nd coming", the event that destroyed the earth, cannot be called. A big war is brewing, humanity has already mastered all places suitable for life, and the rulers are trying to expand their possessions at the expense of others. Our hero, Marzio, lives in one of the free Italian towns. He is the bastard of a major feudal lord who made his name in the war. His mother, despite her righteous lifestyle, practices quackery. For which one day, on an unremarkable and ordinary day, she is sentenced to death. Seeing the burning of his own mother and losing faith in people, Marzio begins his journey. Thanks to the connections of his small family, he escapes from the city and, together with a trade caravan, moves to another city, where he plans to enter the academy and become stronger. Along the way, he contacts people who call themselves "diggers" - plunderers. So, he finds himself in the ruins of the old world, which was much more developed and finds more and more evidence of the terrible secret of the true cause of the fall of the world, which the church so zealously hides. But the second coming gave not only the suffering and wrath of God, but also monsters from mutated animals. In a fight with them, he falls into the eyes of the detachment of the sacred order, after which they, having estimated its potential, take it to themselves and, with their patronage, he enters the academy. At the academy, he meets new friends, and his origin is revealed there. Since he is the only male descendant, he can claim the title and possession of his father. Thanks to this, our hero receives a certain amount of attention from the opposite sex. After training, Marzio learns about the so-called knowers who are aware of the artifacts of the ancients and how things truly are. New prospects are opening up for him, but also new dangers. He becomes part of the squad that helped him. And using modern for us and futuristic for the Middle Ages, small arms are engaged in protecting the secrets of the church and persecuting a group calling themselves apostates, who want to reveal all the cards that will drive the world into a new branch of chaos and the fight against the regime. As cover, his order sided with minor rulers to fight the old-fashioned way and maintain the balance of power. More and more secrets are revealed to Marzio, and a serious intriguing game unfolds behind him, into which he is sucked in with more and more force. But the hero is the hero, in order to grow and cope with the twists and turns of fate, he stoically withstands all trials and even not knowing about the threats from the east and another continent continues to go forward to meet his fate, for the sake of freedom, revenge and struggle.
