《Another Terror Infinity Fan Fiction》Ch.19

I look down at my backpack and check it’s contents to make sure I didn’t leave anything behind. ‘Food pills? Check. Water pills? Check. Gauze? Check. Hemostasis spray? Check. Bandages? Check.’ I look up from my backpack to my ammo belt. ‘2 Frags, 2 Kracks, and 4 overcharged packs.’ I place my hand to my helmet and press the button for the micro bead. “Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3. Charlie can you read me?”
“I read you.” Charlie responds.
“Dave?” I ask.
“Affirmative.” Dave replies.
I pick up my Long Las and take the power pack out before putting it back in. ‘Long Las locked and loaded.’ I flex my fingers and look down at my armor. ‘Arbite Light Carapace Armor? Check.’ I stop flexing my fingers and pick up my pack. After putting on my pack I put my Long Las against my shoulder. “Everyone ready to go?”
“Ready.” Charlie responds.
“Ready.” Dave answers.
“Ok. Remember Charlie for this mission you will give the introduction if no one else does.” I tell him.
“Right.” Charlie says and nods.
“Then let’s go.” I say and push open my door. It is currently 6AM and we are the first people to arrive on the platform. “Last time the light gave the mission at 9AM so I’m assuming it will do the same this time.”
“What will we do for the next 3 hours?” Charlie asked.
“Make our peace and pray that we don’t die.” I say. I then set my pack and Long Las against the stairs while sitting down next to them. The next 3 hours pass in silence only interrupted by occasional small talk.
At 9AM 7 light beams shoot out of the ball of light. ‘Please enter the beam of light within 30 seconds.’ When the mechanical voice rings in my head I pick up my stuff and enter the first beam of light. Dave soon follows me into my Beam. Charlie tries to enter with us but he is blocked. After attempting and failing to enter our beam of light he enters the beam next to ours. I look out over the platform and see Ms.Baker’s group scrambling to get into a beam. Each person in her group, including her, is dressed in modern bullet proof vests and has a modern firearm of some sort.

‘I thought she was smarter than that. Oh well.’ I take my eyes off them.
‘Entering mission world. Mission Parameters: Survival. Scenario: Xenomorph Infestation. Difficulty: 14 man. Side Mission: Introduction and Xenomorph kills.’ The mechanical voice dictates.
‘Oh no.’ Is my last thought before my consciousness fades away.
My eyes open to the sight of steel walls and metal grates. I quickly stand up and look around. Dave is already awake and standing while Charlie is just getting up. ‘Why did it have to be here.’ I look at the familiar storage crate walls, steel grate floors, and well lit ceiling. ‘Of all the worlds it had to be here didn’t it.’ I feel my breathes start to come quickly and my hand shake. Images of Bill and the guy who was torn open flash in my mind. ‘I barely survived last time and now there are more of them.’ Finally my body freezes as I remember the dripping maw of the beast as it was about to kill me. Metalic fangs and clear saliva adorned a pink fleshed tongue inside a black shell of horrific strength.
“Are you ok Josh” Charlie asks as he moves over to me.
My mind melts the mental frost of terror at Charlie’s words and I release a breathe I didn’t realize I was holding. I take a deep breathe in and answer. “Yeah I’m fine. I was just remembering the last time I came here.”
“You’ve been here before?” Charlie asks surprised.
“Yep, my very first mission, though I don’t know if this is the same place.” I answer. ‘I sure hope it’s not the same place. I wouldn’t be able to handle seeing Bills body.’
“That’s great.” Charlie says. While we were talking Ms.Baker’s group had woken up along with some of the other newbies.

I look over at the newbies. ‘None of them seem to be exceptional but I guess we’ll find out by who survives.’ I shiver a bit and glance down the corridors to either side.
As more of the newbies get up Ms.Baker gets their attention and starts to give an introduction. ‘So that’s how this is going to be.’ I check my armor to see if it’s sealed properly then click my microbead. “We’re going to take a back seat approach to this mission.” I tell Dave and Charlie. “This is going to be the hardest mission we’ve been on and it’s going to be a question if we even survive. The best thing we can do is leave the newbies to Ms.Baker and Co and hope that their numbers will deter the xenomorphs from attacking them.”
“Affirmative.” Dave answers through his micro bead.
“Ok.” Charlie says in a stiff voice.

The 13th Essence
In the Tower of Metris, a babe is delivered on the doorstep of an orphanage. This is an all too common tale in the Towers of Kahlea. As Adventurers die braving the dungeons of the Towers, the children left behind are stripped of their home, their possesions and their name. What might seem cruel will sometimes be the only way that the orphans may survive. Dante is such a child. His thirteenth year is upon him and he must now leave the orphanage to become a student of the Academy, where the skills of an Adventurer are taught. Dante, his class and all others in their thirteenth year, will be entering a new life. From their new affinities of magic to the political power plays of the upper tier citizens, will Dante and his friends even survive before they make it to the dungeons?
8 743Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.

8 141Goblin Combe
This story follows Jack Chaque-Travail, an Illusionist determined to usher in the next generation of Druids to make sure he doesn't have to watch the earth die around him. Druids used to be awakened high on mountain tops, or in deep caves, but now there are so few left they must be shipped into a summer camp to at least eke out what little potential they have. 'Come with WildWise™ and get away from the buzz of the city and towards the buzz of the sacred bee!' as quoted from their website. As years have gone by, and ozone has deteriorated, Druid training is less summoning treants and more kumbaya-ing. If there is no connection to nature, there are no more Druids, and that means horrible things for everyone left behind. Join Jack as he grifts his way through being a childrens educator, cheating and tricking them into being valuable members of society.
8 93Making a difference
Harry Potter FanFiction: Hannah Longbottom liked to watch the people who entered the Wizarding World via the small, walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron for a reason: During her not so long life, she had learned about three different boys who had entered the Wizarding World alone, leaving behind a life so horrible she could barely imagine. One of them, who became a friend of hers, had gone through great hardships to become a hero, one of the greatest wizards the Wizarding World had ever seen. One of them, who had been her teacher, had become cold and bitter, and no one had ever recognized what amazing talents he could have offered, until it had been too late. One of them, the monster she had helped to fight during the Battle of Hogwarts, had become the most dreaded, most dangerous, and most deadly man Great Britain had ever seen, and yet it could have all been different, if someone had just tried to make that difference early enough in that life, if he had not boarded the train to Hogwarts all alone. Already posted at Devianart and AO3, I've included a link to RoyalRoad on my profiles there.
