Very surprising that a lot of you guys are reading this :D So I hope you like this new chapter.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s already been more than a week since I’ve left the hospital. I have been kicked out of the house and sent to a care home. The doctor recommended to my parents that it's the best possible way for me to live my life the way it is now. Considering how both my parents work two jobs just to live through the days with this kind of economy. They don’t need more work just to dress me and clean me. Now I’m just going to be treated like a little baby again, being cleaned and dressed by someone else.
This such person just came in the room with a bunch of other guys dressed like mechanics.
“Hey, how you doing Lewis?” said Chris.
He’s the one who’s going to take care of me throughout my life for now on. Change my clothes, clean my body, and bring me food. The first time I met him, he seemed really optimistic. Somehow, he just always makes me smile. He’s like a brother to me now that he’s taking care of me.
“I’m fine Chris, who are these guys?”
“Oh, they are here to install the ChormaNet Gear. Didn’t I tell you yesterday? Well, whatever, they said that the installation wouldn’t take that long,” he said calmly.
“You got any food for me while you were gone?” I asked happily.
“You wanted some bacon right? I’ll cook it for breakfast tomorrow.”
“Naw, just cook it for dinner. I’ll be hungry soon.” Yea you might think it’s weird to eat something meant for breakfast for dinner. It’s way easier to cook bacon than some complicated dish. Secondly, bacon is too delicious for me to wait until the next morning.

Looking at the clock in the middle of the room, it seems to already be 5:00 PM. It's almost time for me to do my usual work out, considering that I’m no longer be able to play soccer. So the only way for me to feel physically healthy is training my upper body. However, because I was more into my lower body, I never trained my upper body. So right now, I’m only able to do baby weights.
After lifting some 30 pound weights for about 30 minutes or so, I’m already at my limit. My whole body is already drenched in sweat. My arms are turning into spaghetti and won’t cooperate with whatever I tell it to do.
“Hey, Lewis, the guys just finished installing the ChromaNet Gear. They said you can use it now. All it needs to do is scan your body and it's all done,” Chris said poking just his head into my bedroom. “Oh yea, the lady from that company also left you an email,” he said handing me my phone.
Thanks again for saving my daughter. Just as we promised, we gave you a ChormaNet Gear. Since it’s your first time seeing this type of technology, I should tell you all about it. This ChormaNet Gear that we're providing you is specially made. This one is completely different from the other “gears” since this “gear” is built personally with our own designs. This was meant to launch this upcoming December, but we decided to just give it to you. No worries, we already tested every “gear” so you should be relieved from any bugs or glitches. Now, about why this is very different from the other “gears”. This one “gear” has the been improved to be able to sleep while your mind is in the “gear”. Right now the other “gears” just let you surf the internet and play games. However, after a period of time, you would still need to sleep. So, with this new “gear” you wouldn’t need to sleep because once you're inside the “gear” you're already asleep. It’s a great discovery, so now gamers wouldn’t have to all be drowsy throughout the day while they are playing during the night. So I hope you like the new ChromaNet Gear.

Sincerly,
Mrs. Joycie
So this means that I wouldn’t have to be all fatigued whenever I play. I can play as long as I want without being tired. Of course, I wouldn’t always be inside the pod. I still need to connect with my own body in reality to eat food whenever I’m hungry, but I can see some people becoming addicted to this. The fact that they’re going to launch this 5 months from now means that they are planning to get a huge amount of money, considering that it's during Christmas time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After taking a bath to wash out all the sweat and getting some dinner with Chris, I decided to go into the pod after he left the apartment.
Looks like it’s time for me to test this baby out.
Pressing on the button that says “OPEN”, the glass pops out and slides to the right leaving a comfy looking material left for me to lay on. Before going in, I looked at the clock to discover that it’s already 7:29 PM, meaning that I have about 10 or 11 hours left before I should really get ready for my first class online. That should be a lot of time for gaming. Right when my whole body was submerged inside the pod, the glass started to move back into place. Looking around where I’m in, there seems to be ventilation so the user wouldn’t suffocate to death. It also seems to have some temperature control built in. Before going into it, I swear it was way colder than inside here. Guess it’s time to stop wasting more time. I shut my eyes closed.
“Gear Start!”
