The higher the level of the enemy compared to your level the better the rewards but the lower of chance success. Sometimes you can gain rare skills this way. The bonuses you receive differ from enemy to enemy.*

*You have unlocked the skill Voice of the Soul: You now can form sounds from the depths of your soul as if you had a mouth*

*You have unlocked the skill Soul Strike: When you strike an enemy you mark their soul so for every time you strike an enemy you increase your damage done to them by 10%. Can use 500 essence to upgrade*

'I can actually talk now! I don't have to grab Maria's hand like a weirdo every time I want to talk to her. Also, Soul Refine and Soul Strike seem like pretty useful skills. At least I have ways to enhance my gear now.'

"So, I can actually talk now that I have my class." Kai says to Maria surprising her.

"You can talk now? You are probably the first Soul Knight that is able to talk just so you know. So it may be best for you now to say anything outside of the Tower. Someone may to try to use you for the experiments if they find out you are so different. We already have to deal with people noticing the Gold Contract."

"I agree, so how about we head out of the Tower and get you home. I guess it's probably a given that I'll have to stay there too."

"Yes it is."

As if Maria realized something she mumbled under her breath "I wish I cleaned before I came.."

"What was that?"

"oh.. nothing hehe.. let's go"

Maria and Kai walk to the first floor. They came across three Zombie Wolves but Kai defeated them with ease since they don't really do any damage to him after he got his name bonuses, earning 150 essence and 3 souls.

After making it down the stairs connecting the first and second floor they go through the first floor roughly taking 3 hours. They came across 10 goblins and Kai let Maria take out them for experience and so they get more essence, so he acted as a shield for her so she didn't have any mishaps. They gained another 100 essence making Maria level 4 and Kai gained 10 souls for his skills.

They finally get to the entrance of the tower which is a Massive room with 20 ft tall black doors leading to the outside.

"How do people actually open those doors?" Kai was curious if someone had enough strength to open them

"It's actually pretty easy. They are powered by magic, and they open automatically for people who possess any sort of mana. Even pure warrior adventurers contain small amounts of mana when they acquire their classes at level 1."

"Wow that's actually pretty cool, also you guys get classes at level one? I didn't get mine until 5."

"Yeah everyone normally gets a basic class at level one and gets an advanced class at level 5 and again at 25 and every 25 levels after."

"Neat, I wonder if I will get advanced classes too."

"Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Alright until we get to my house you are going to have to not talk okay?"

Kai nods

The doors to the entrance start swinging open causing the room to shake from how massive they are. Outside of the entrance are two people clad in steel armor acting as guards and when they notice who is leaving they get excited.

"Ah, miss Maria you finally return safely. We were worried about you." The one with a beard and short hair that looks to be in his 30's. The other one is probably in their 20's and doesn't say anything but they both have something in common. The way they look at Maria is of pure lust. The older man may sound jovial but in reality, he just wants to devour her.

"Thanks." Maria replies cold enough that the air might freeze. She hardly even glances at them.

'Interesting, Maria who is a beautiful vibrant flower towards me is actually a thorny rose to others so far. I wonder if it's because I saved her'

The man couldn't believe a lowly bronze adventurer ignored him like that. So he reached out to grab her arm when another cold metallic hand grabs his wrist stopping him. He turns and notices for the first time the Soul Knight that was there nearly soiling his pants. The Soul Knights energy was a crimson red signifying its anger.

'I don't know why him trying to grab her makes me so mad, but I for sure don't like the way they are looking at her.'

"A Soul Knight??!! Call the captain, we have an outbreak." the older man was sweating bullets as soul knights are elite monsters and are tough to kill. He failed to notice the gold butterfly on his chest.

"Stop! You don't need to call the captain, he is my familiar. I formed a soul contract with him." Maria explains standing in front of Kai.

"What?? How could you form a soul contract with it... a GOLD CONTRACT? How do you have a gold contract??" the older man finally noticed the contract crest and nearly fainted when he saw the color of the crest.

"Yeah a Gold contract, now that we have that settled. Let's go, Kai." Maria grabs Kai's arm with hers squashing it against her large breast and Kai lets go of the guy's wrist and walks away. The energy of Kai changes to pink as he enjoys the soft feeling on his arm.

'Yeah this contract might not be so bad with a girl as beautiful as her.' Kai thought to himself as they walked away from the entrance

Kai failed to see that Maria was blushing slightly while holding his arm.
