《The First Primordial [DROPPED]》Chapter 10 - having abnormal pets suddenly makes you popular

I watch as Eden takes their sweet time getting off the cliff, every step is calculated and quiet but is still taking much longer then they normally would.
Are they shy or somethin'?
I look back to the group of people whose mouths are wide open, the strengthening grip on their weapons doesn't help Eden's nerves. So I glare at the group before saying in a stern but calm voice.
"Calm down guys, Eden is my pet. Can you ease the grip on your weapons or something, we are leaving anyway so chill out." I state while trying to add my usual carefreeness with my now serious tone with mixed results.
Josh starts laughing like he expected this, easing his grip on his weapon and taking a step closer. Jamie loses his smug atmosphere and is left in shock, he does slightly loosen his grip but continues staying in his combat stance while his eyes narrow.
Myarae, the only other demon here. Does a quick double take, their eyes widen slightly but how surprised they are is unreadable. They didn't really react much both physically and in their expression, the grip on the short sword on their belt didn't change much either but it wasn’t high to begin with.
The two black haired men didn't seem to buy it, especially as Eden reached the bottom of the cliff still slowly making their way over in a wary but still confident way somehow. Arazari, the girl in the hood, also seems to not buy it as I notice them start casting magic.
Wait, they are casting magic.
Deciding I don't want them to finish their spell I silently teleport behind them while putting my hands on their shoulders in a firm manner. I bring my head next to them on the right as I give them a fair warning.
"Don't do anything stupid, dear." I say quietly so only they can barely hear and quickly release my grip, before silently teleporting back to my previous position like nothing happened. Casually, I start walking towards Eden before I am interrupted by Arazari.
"WHAT!" they yell, their cloak not as good at hiding their voice as their face.
"Ok it was funny at first, but what do you think you are doing Arthur?" Jamie says, unamused with my antics.
"Comeon, you saw how he killed those monsters. Taming these ones is practically the same thing." Josh said with apparent amusement as he joined me on my walk to Eden.
"You know that isn't the same thing, at all. I mean just LOOK at it." Arazari states with growing annoyance, which only grows as we continue ignoring them.

"Are you sure you didn't hit your head as well? She isn't wrong, you know." I muse with a wry smile looking at Josh by my side.
"Even if I didn't, then she will later anyway. Might as well go with the flow. Not like this situation is very ordinary anyway, are you sure you are even real?" He says with a wide grin while he points at me accusingly.
I, of course, put my hand on his shoulder and give him my own wide grin.
"Maybe, good man. Always make sure your opponent is real before you engage." I say matter of factly while pointing my finger up, like an old teacher giving a lesson.
"Hmm, I should write that down. Hey do you have a notebook or some-'' He is interrupted as our antics come to an end. The angry looking couple in front of us make it hard to keep our joking up.
Jamie and Arazari stand in front of us, Jamie is gripping his axe with his other hand balled into a fist, while Arazari has her hands crossed. They are blocking us off from the now quite close Eden while Myarae is on the other side, approaching Eden with a studious look in her eyes.
"Ugh, why are you the only good one here? Where did that comedy come from anyway, you seemed like the quiet kind when I saw you get smashed by that spider thing." I inquire as I look at Josh with obvious unconcern with the two people in front of us.
"Well, you see-" He is again cut off, this time by Arazari.
"Josh, get over here." She says with no room for discussion. As Josh reluctantly accepts his fate, I start walking around to Eden but this time I am the one interrupted.
"You, explain yourself." Jamie says, pointing his frankly underwhelming axe at me. I gently touch his axe and point it downwards and remind him.
"Explain what? The part where I helped you guys kill the spiders, or the part where you started threatening me with an axe, when I started walking to my pet after I already said we were leaving. I can see when we aren't wanted." I state simply, from my tone you would have thought I was talking normally but my words tell a different story.
Instead of going straight to Eden, I started walking towards the mountain where they said the camp was. "Eden, come!" I say as I see Eden walk around Myarae like she didn't exist.
"Hey wait!" I hear from Myarae as Eden joins my side much quicker than when they started.

So now you hurry huh, fine. I see how it is.
I grumble with a smirk as I pat Eden on the head. I look back towards the flabbergasted group, Josh is waving at me while Jamie is trying hard to be serious but failing as the faintest smile appears across his face.
Complicated fellow that guy, must be the purple hair.
Myarae looks defeated, currently on her knees mumbling something about a lost opportunity. While Arazari finally took their hood off, with a hateful look in their eyes, the once admirable look was replaced with scorn. The powerful look matches their red eyes and blond hair, which is tied up in a bun with bangs to the side of her surprisingly well crafted face, quite a sight to see. I would say it sucks to be whoever pissed her off but that would make my situation worse.
While I glance back I notice a worrying sight and important factor that is not a welcoming sign for things to come.
Where the hell did those two black haired people go...
Slightly concerned, I look around, though I find no trace I am still on edge. Continuing walking until I am out of distance I start wondering if I possibly made a poor first impression, do my social and diplomatic skills require improving and most importantly.
Will I see that strange group again some day?
"Damn, he is gone. What do we do now boss lady?" Josh says. He never talked much but after just 10 minutes with Arthur he has turned into a goddamn comedian.
The hell did he do to you?
Ignoring the thoughts I get back on track, he is going to the main camp which is a long trek meaning we have time to figure it out.
"Well we have to report this, I have never seen anyone tame a Primordial Descendant before. Apparently only the Primordials themselves can tame them so this random guy taming an Elder Descendant is something unprecedented”.
The wind starts picking up, gently brushing through my now uncovered blond hair before Myarae speaks up.
"I agree, I think I will tell some people I know back in demon territory. They will go nuts when they realise a demon managed to tame them. I also have to find him so I can figure out how he did it." She says with excitement, mumbling the last part as she stands back up.
"That man is suspicious. Wait, speaking of suspicion, where did the twins go?" Jamie says as he looks at the empty positions in our group.
"I think they went to notify the church." I reply honestly while I go to the corpses of the spiders, ignoring the attempts from Myarae to anger me. A demon taming Descendants, that is impossible for multiple reasons.
"Are you just mad that your crush turned out to be a demon?" Jamie responds with a chuckle before shutting up after I sent a glare his way.
"What about the mission? I mean not like we want to go exploring for something that can kill us, especially when we can just ask him where they are." Myarae grumbles, I think they are slightly upset about the fact they didn't get to study the Elder. The fact that Elder Descendants are extremely rare and usually in control of whole swarms makes the situation suspicious.
We harvest some of the materials from the dead Darkness Spiders while we ponder our course of action. The general consensus is that people need to know what happened while also keeping an eye on Arthur.
"How about we go back to camp then, we can catch Arthur there and see what mission he was on, while we are there we can also turn in our mission.” Josh says while scratching his chin before continuing.
"Then we can finally go our separate ways, if I can see how we don't like working together, then I am sure Arthur can too. He is definitely more experienced than he looks If you couldn't tell. I think I will join his adventuring group when this is over and get to do some real adventuring, like Ben wanted."
Josh said with admiration, even a hint of aspiration was apparent before going into a whisper at the last part and quickly going back into his standard silence, maybe Arthur is a good influence after all, he could probably help Josh with what happened?
Before I could put an end to the conversation and continue, Jamie also supplied his unwanted opinion.
"Careful Josh, you are starting to sound like Arazari. We wouldn't want a love triangle would we." He says while putting his arm around Josh in a supportive manner, earning an ever so slight grin from Josh.
"Gods, you idiots. Can we just get moving, we don't want to miss Arthur and lose him to the Demon kingdom." I say with finality with no room for discussion.
This day just gets longer and longer.

The Perks of Immortality
This story will no longer be updated. After living decades and dying hundreds of times, Kegan has learned that he has finally passed some test that the cruel spirit had given him. Now, Kegan has the ability to gain “perks” that can make his life much easier. He is looking forward to finally having an easy life with the new perks he has earned. Rules to keep me honest for the perk system: Spoiler: Spoiler 1. The purpose of perks is to help the MC live longer and do new things each life. 2. The perks can be unlocked by getting hurt or killed. 3. The perks can be unlocked by putting in a lot of effort that isn’t easily duplicated in a new life. 4. Perks are generally beneficial enhancements to the MC’s body. 5. Perk costs can be lowered with more impressive achievements to unlock them. 6. Perk costs can be lowered by repeated death or injury from something the perk protects against. 7. Perk costs are increased for quality of life improvements that don’t benefit survival. I want to avoid one of the pitfalls I see for other LitRPG stories where the game elements barely relate to the story, or offer very little information. If people are skipping over and not reading the perks then I'm doing things wrong. So I promise to try and make the perks interesting, sometimes humorous, informative, and relevant to the story.Cover art by http://dertypaws.com/

He can’t log out, his magic is on the fritz, and worst of all, he’s not even human. Now, he’s a low-class, run-of-the-mil Dungeon monster. Some disgusting, blue-skinned creature called a Troll. At least there’s one small silver lining—Roark managed the grab a powerful magic artifact on his way through the portal, and with it he might just be able to save the world after all. Unless, of course, the Tyrant King gets to him first …Hey everyone, so as most of you know, I write books for a living, and I just put this title up on Amazon (and enrolled it in KU). Because KU requires exclusivity as part of their terms of service, I have had to pull the majority of the content from this site. I left the full novel up for as long as possible, so I hope everyone got a chance to read it. If you haven't had a chance to read it in its entirety (sorry!) you can pick it up on Amazon. Thanks again for coming on this journey with me, and I so hope you enjoyed it. The book will be out on Tuesday July 24th. Best, James Hunter

Issekai Mockery
The story begins with Alvaro Brad, a genius young man in his teens. Alvaro excels at every subject of his school, chemistry, physics, mathematics and programming are some subjects that he enjoys the most. That seems to be the first impression that people have about him though. Alvaro has another side to him, he is addicted to gambling. Since nothing seems to challenge him anymore, he has taken upon himself to beat luck itself. The only moment he feels any kind of joy is when he takes risks and gambling has given him exactly that. After skipping class to gamble yet again, he sees something on the way to the club. After looking closer he finds a small coin on the ground and as soon as he picks it up he is transported to another world. -Issekai Mockery is exactly as the title suggests, a satire fiction novel making fun of the Issekai genre in subtle and not so subtle ways with the sole purpose of putting a smile on the readers' faces, the novel will feature a lot of Issekai and mmorpg jokes. Don't forget to comment and rate the fiction as I want to listen to some feedback.
